Functional capabilities

Important! In 2019, an updated Omega, called the iClebo O5, will hit the market. This model features mobile app control, voice assistants, and many other important features. You can read a review of the new product in the article: https://robovac.washerhouse.com/en/obzory/iclebo/robovac-iclebo-o5.html.

Let's return to the iClebo Omega. All of the robot vacuum's functions are described in the user manual included in the basic package. Let's take a look at the iClebo Omega's capabilities.

Powerful turbo motor. To achieve maximum cleaning performance on all types of surfaces, this vacuum cleaner model is equipped with a turbo motor that delivers high suction power while remaining relatively quiet. This motor has a lifespan of approximately ten years.

The iClebo Omega robot vacuum cleaner also features an innovative navigation system. The combination of unique SLAM and NST technologies allows the robot to accurately map rooms, memorizing the locations of objects. Using a camera located on the top panel and more than 35 infrared and optical sensors, the robot easily navigates apartments with two or more rooms. The vacuum cleaner easily recognizes areas it has cleaned and those that remain to be cleaned. It remembers the location of the charging base and returns to it using the shortest route. Omega can also perform two cleaning cycles.

The iClebo Omega robot vacuum cleaner features new sensors—dirtiness and surface detection—that allow it to clean more thoroughly. In heavily soiled areas, as well as when cleaning carpets, the vacuum automatically switches to turbo suction mode.

Thanks to updated sensors and the "improved obstacle detection" technology used in this model, the robot vacuum cleaner is capable of more accurately mapping the room, identifying any obstacles in its path and elevation changes. Incidentally, the iClebo Omega robot can overcome obstacles up to 15 mm high, a remarkable achievement among similar robots.

A special design of the front bumper with a stationary rubber strip along the entire perimeter and built-in mechanical sensors prevents collisions with objects, and in the event of accidental physical contact, does not leave marks on them.

The Aiklebo Omega robot has a five-stage cleaning system:

  1. The vacuum cleaner has two side brushes that help collect debris more effectively. And its special "deep corner cleaning" technology allows it to collect up to 96% of debris in corners.
  2. The new, improved turbo brush allows the iClebo Omega to achieve excellent cleaning results. Made from modern materials, it features a unique design and powerful suction that directs debris into the dust bin, preventing it from clinging to the brush.
  3. The most powerful motor allows you to suck up the finest dust.
  4. To reliably retain dust in the dust collector, a new, high-density, pleated antibacterial filter is used.
  5. While removing dust, the robot vacuum cleaner can also wet-clean surfaces thanks to its included wet microfiber cloth.

Overview of the main operating modes

The iClebo Omega robot vacuum cleaner cleans in three modes: MAX, local, and automatic:

  • During spot cleaning, the vacuum cleaner moves in a circle or spiral, capturing a small area of the surface. This allows for cleaning small, heavily soiled areas.
  • In Auto mode, the robot moves around the room in a serpentine pattern, independently choosing its direction and remembering the location of its base. After sweeping the apartment once, the robot vacuum automatically returns to its base to recharge.
  • For a more thorough cleaning, the iClebo Omega features a MAX mode, also known as the "Double Snake" mode. With this mode, the vacuum cleaner first cleans a room in parallel lines, then, after turning 90°, begins cleaning the same room in perpendicular lines.

We can add a floor polisher mode to all three modes. The video below clearly demonstrates how this model works:

Operating instructions

To ensure the iClebo Omega robot delivers long-lasting service and high-quality cleaning results, we recommend fully reading the included user manual before using the vacuum cleaner. If for any reason you don't have the manual, you can view or download the iClebo Omega user manual in Russian by following this link: Instructions for the iClebo Omega.

Let's sum it up

However, since the new iClebo O5 has hit the market, buying the outdated Omega isn't a smart idea, especially since the price of both the old and new models is quite high ($360 compared to the $450–$500 promised by the manufacturer). The new iClebo O5 hasn't been released yet and is expensive, while you can buy the same device for 36,000 rubles or less. Xiaomi Mi Roborock Sweep One, with the same functionality and more advanced wet cleaning.

Nevertheless, let us give an overview of the main advantages of a robot vacuum cleaner:

  • modern design and convenient dimensions of the case;
  • high quality cleaning of floor coverings;
  • orientation system and selection of the optimal route;
  • availability of three cleaning modes;
  • the possibility of using a special nozzle for wet cleaning;
  • easy to maintain the body and clean the dust collector;
  • the presence of a magnetic limiting tape and a remote control.

The disadvantages of this model of robot vacuum cleaner are as follows:

  • Wet cleaning is primitive - you need to wet the cloth yourself and place it on the bottom;
  • no programming by days of the week;
  • may make an error when working on carpets and sucking in fringe;
  • The magnetic tape is inferior to the virtual wall, which is not provided in this model.

Overall, the dry cleaning performance is high, the robot is reliable, and quite functional. Despite its drawbacks, it's one of the best models for the price.

Finally, we recommend viewing the iClebo Omega operating mode tests:

Here's a review of the iClebo Omega, covering its technical specifications and key features. The 2019 model is priced at $360, placing the Omega in the mid-price range. This vacuum cleaner is well worth the price, making it one of the best value options!

    I'd also like to add that the iCLEBO Omega's shape allows it to clean corners well. It fits perfectly into them, leaving no debris or dust behind. It also cleans well along walls. The robot has an interesting cleaning algorithm. It moves a short distance, lifts up, and sweeps the baseboard with its side brush. Then it moves a short distance, and sweeps again. It does this along the entire wall. It also cleans carpet well. So, after turning on the robot, the feeling in your apartment is the same as after you've cleaned the carpet yourself and vacuumed it with a regular vacuum cleaner. So, I'm very happy with it. It keeps the house clean all the time, and it doesn't require any effort.

    Can the Panda i5 really be compared to the Omega or iRobot? They seem to say it has the simplest navigation, no mapping whatsoever. Am I wrong?

    • Administrator

      Cleverpanda i5 can create a room map, and its navigation is better than that of ordinary Chinese robot vacuum cleaners.

      • Alena

        Can I have a consultation then?
        1. What's the minimum height the i5 will fit under? It says 6 cm for the tablet's thickness, but the tablet is also raised above the floor.
        2. What map-building technology does Panda use? There's a lot of information about Omega's technology, but Panda's is just advertising, without any details.
        3. Is it true that the Panda battery lasts 7000 mAh? I just bought a Panda x500, which claimed to have a 2200 mAh battery, but it actually cost 1700 mAh.
        4. Do you have any video reviews/comparisons of the above models? Thank you very much for your help.

          The Panda manufacturer itself indicates that this model is counterfeit, so I'd recommend opting for the Omega, iRobot, or Xiaomi. The Walking Dead Cosmo is also a pretty good robot vacuum in this price range. Regarding your questions, I don't have this robot at hand right now, so I can't give you an exact minimum height. It's roughly 8-9 cm. It uses a built-in camera to map the room. Regarding the battery, you'll need to disassemble it and inspect it. It's quite possible the manufacturers cheated, but the Cleverpanda actually cleans for about 2 hours. Unfortunately, there are no video reviews.

        They only write about navigation. The I5 has no navigation at all! It drives like a toy car. If it hits an obstacle, it turns around and goes back in the direction it turned!!! If it drives for too long, it stops and turns back. It drives along walls quite well when you enable this function. But the "automatic"... it's a lottery - which way it turns, that's where it goes. If it's a precise geometric figure, then it drives back and forth. If something is standing in this figure - an obstacle - then... there is no pattern... That's why it cleans very poorly! I cleaned with the remote: the TV turned up, a cup of coffee, and I control it with the remote however I want!!))))) And overcoming obstacles... my child has a children's toy with small wheels and a "nano motor" for $10. It overcomes these obstacles better than this monster for almost $500!!!! This is not a ROBOT!!!

    Hello!
    What would you recommend for a carpet-free apartment: this model (Omega) or the RX2 from Miele?

    • Administrator

      I'd give preference to the Omega; there's a $100 difference, but they're practically identical in cleaning quality. So why pay extra?

    This vacuum cleaner is terrible! Especially considering its price! It darts around incoherently, going over some areas 2-3 times, and not even reaching others. The fan is weak—it doesn't suck up heavy debris! Compared to, say, any Xiaomi vacuum cleaner (which cost 2-3 times less!), it's simply pathetic!
