Atvel F16: Cordless Self-Cleaning Vacuum Cleaner with Carpet Brush

Hello, readers! This review will focus on the Atvel F16 cordless wet/dry vacuum cleaner. This device offers a full floor cleaning with clean water, while collecting dirty water in a separate tank. Additionally, the Atvel F16 boasts a self-cleaning function at the station and an additional brush for cleaning low-pile carpets. Below, I'll thoroughly examine and test the vacuum cleaner, after which I'll express my opinion on whether it's worth buying. The price, by the way, ranges from $19 to $240, which is quite reasonable for this type of device. So, let's get started!
Equipment
The Atvel F16 arrived in this branded box:
The package includes:
- Main block with tanks for dirty water.
- Floor charging station.
- Handle with control buttons.
- Stand for drying rollers.
- Power adapter.
- Removable battery.
- Clean water tank.
- Replacement roller for carpet cleaning.
- Operating instructions translated into Russian.
- Tools for servicing a vacuum cleaner (brush, brush and hex key).
The kit includes all the necessary accessories for operating the vacuum cleaner. It's also worth noting that the manufacturer will soon offer the option of adding a proprietary cleaning solution to the clean water tank, which will improve the quality of the floor cleaning.
Appearance
Now let's take a look at the Atvel F16 cordless wet/dry vacuum cleaner. First, you need to assemble it. Install the battery, handle, and clean and dirty water tanks. It's important to note that the dirty water tank is secured with a locking button, while the clean water tank is pushed all the way into the housing and pulled out the same way.
This is what the Atvel F16 looks like assembled:
Let's start our review of the vacuum cleaner with the cleaning module. The roller is secured with a special latch and can be easily removed. The bristles are very soft, preventing scratching of the flooring. At the same time, we see red, elastic fibers inside that help collect pet hair and fur. This roller is the main roller and is suitable for cleaning hard floors.
But if you want to clean carpets with a low pile, you need to install a replaceable bristle roller.
An informative display above the dirty water tank shows the battery charge, the vacuum cleaner's operating time, the cleaning mode, and service messages. For example, when the dirty water tank is full or when clean water needs to be added to the corresponding reservoir.
The dirty water tank is equipped with a HEPA12 filter with a mesh, and the clean water tank has a lid with a mesh filter that prevents debris from entering the water supply system.
On the handle we see the Atvel company logo, as well as three mechanical control buttons: power on/off, selection of one of two cleaning modes, and forced water supply to the roller.
It's worth noting that the Atvel F16 doesn't automatically supply water to the roller; you control the roller's wetting level by pressing a button during cleaning. Before starting cleaning, turn on the vacuum cleaner and press the water supply button for about 10 seconds to thoroughly wet the roller and prepare it for the job.
There are two cleaning modes: Eco and Maximum. The difference lies in the roller speed and suction power.
Overall, the build quality of the Atvel F16 is average, as is its price segment.

Testing
A detailed video review with all the tests has already been prepared and published on the channel. I recommend watching the video:
Battery life
Let's move on to the tests. First, let's check the Atvel F16's runtime in maximum mode. In my case, a fully charged battery lasted 26:37 hours. Almost exactly as claimed by the manufacturer. This should be enough time for a full wet cleaning.
Noise level
As for noise levels, in Eco mode, they ranged from 73.7 to 74 dB, while in Maximum mode, the peak was 75 dB. The actual noise level is higher than stated, but it's worth noting that it's similar in noise level to similar models.
Floor cleaning quality
It's much more important to test how effectively this cordless vacuum cleaner cleans floors and removes dirt. There will be several tests, from simple to more complex.
It handles everyday floor cleaning without any problems, leaving no puddles on the tiles, even in the seams, the floor is clean.
But if you scatter sand on the floor, you'll see that the vacuum cleaner picks it up without any problems, but when you move it back, some of the sand gets smeared beyond the vacuum cleaner's working area.
The problem is that when the vacuum moves backward, the squeegee located behind the roller collects dirt on the other side of the roller. Ideally, you just need to get used to using the vacuum cleaner in a way that minimizes the reverse motion. Again, this problem occurs when there's a large accumulation of debris on the floor, which isn't entirely realistic in a home environment. Overall, this leaves a mixed impression of the vacuum's dust collection performance. Another option is to vacuum more slowly over particularly dirty areas.
Next, I'll demonstrate a traditional wet vacuum cleaner test with a raw egg broken on the floor and flour. If a similar situation occurs while cooking in the kitchen, the Atvel F16 is capable of handling this task, even picking up the eggshells.
The vacuum cleaner is also capable of cleaning floors from fresh, un-dried dirt and shoe marks, and there are no particular complaints. The only caveat is that it leaves a narrow, unwashed area along the baseboard, which the roller can't reach due to the design of the cleaning unit.
The Atvel F16 also handles liquid pickup with ease. For example, if you need to clean up spilled soup from the floor.
However, if you decide to use it to remove stubborn stains, such as dried-on sauce or coffee stains, keep in mind that it will take longer. The dampened roller should first soften the stains, after which it will gradually begin to remove them. Due to the soft structure of the roller, the removal performance isn't as high, but on the other hand, it's gentle on flooring and won't damage expensive parquet. It's also worth keeping in mind that tests are conducted only with clean water, without the addition of detergents. These, in turn, should improve the removal performance.
Dry cleaning quality
In addition to floor cleaning, the Atvel F16 can be used for dry cleaning. You control the degree of wetting of the roller, and if you install the dry roller and don't press the water button, it will remain dry during use. The Atvel F16 does a good job of picking up various types of debris. It leaves a small amount of out-of-reach debris along baseboards and in corners. However, the bulk of the debris ends up in the dirty water compartment, and the roller doesn't tangle up pet hair.
And if you install a special bristle brush, it can even clean low-pile carpets, like in my example. The carpet cleaning quality is excellent, just be sure not to turn on the water while vacuuming.
Self-cleaning quality
Finally, I'll tell you about the Atvel F16's self-cleaning feature. To activate this feature, drain the dirty water from the tank, add a sufficient amount of clean water to the other tank, place the vacuum cleaner on the platform, and press the corresponding button next to the display. Self-cleaning time is 1 minute. During this time, the vacuum cleaner dispenses clean water, which rinses the roller and the entire suction channel. All you have to do is empty the dirty water from the tank, remove the roller, and place it on a special drying stand. Self-cleaning performance is good, I have no complaints.
Let's sum it up
The Atvel F16 was thoroughly reviewed and tested. I'll share my thoughts on this cordless vacuum cleaner. Here's what I liked:
- Suitable for both dry and wet cleaning.
- Capable of cleaning carpets.
- The quality of floor washing is above average.
- Self-cleaning function.
- Long working time.
- The battery is removable, allowing you to purchase an additional one and increase the overall operating time of the vacuum cleaner.
- Full warranty support.
- Optimal price for a cordless vacuum cleaner.
As for the shortcomings, the following were noted:
- When the vacuum cleaner moves towards you, the scraper on the brush does not help the roller collect debris, and it may fall out.
- It takes time to remove dried stains.
- Doesn't wash a narrow strip along the baseboard.
Overall, for me personally, the advantages are more significant. The first two criticisms are only noticeable in challenging conditions, while the last one is common to almost all wet/dry vacuum cleaners of this design. More importantly, the Atvel F16 can not only mop floors but also vacuum like a regular cordless vacuum cleaner, and even clean carpets. Therefore, I believe this vacuum cleaner is worth considering. I have no criticisms.
On that note, I'd like to end this review. If you have any questions, please ask them in the comments. Happy shopping, everyone. Bye!

Could you tell me which one to choose for a three-room apartment? This one or Tineko? For daily cleaning of an apartment with children and a cat.
Read the reviews about Tineko; I wouldn't bother with it. I have an Atvel that's perfect for a three-room apartment. I don't have kids, but I do have two cats. It's working fine, the vacuum cleaner gets the job done, it's convenient to use, and it's not a hassle.
Thanks for the review. After reading it, I bought the Atvel F16. I haven't regretted it one bit; it's a truly well-designed and effective device. There are simply no comparable devices on the market right now—they're either half the price or some shady Chinese brand. And they still don't match the Atvel in terms of power or the same tank capacity.
Do BISSEL vacuum cleaners have an advantage in this category?
I haven't tested it yet, so I can't say.
Hello, please tell me, is it possible to add special shampoo to the vacuum cleaner?
A non-foaming cleaner is better.
I bought an F16 Amtvel. Can you please tell me how to detach the handle?
Remove the clean water tank. Behind it is a hole with a latch inside. Press into it with something thin and pull the handle upward.
Doesn't it supply water automatically?
Can you use it to clean the interior of a car?
No))
I bought a Bissel for work and an Atvel for my home. What I can say is that they both clean well, but when they're heavily soiled, they leave streaks, requiring repeated use. The Atvel is good because the battery can be replaced and the cleaning process continues. I have a 120-square-meter apartment, three children, and a Labrador, so the battery is essential. The self-cleaning feature doesn't always remove dog hair (during active shedding season), so I have to remove the roller and brush the hair out. The Atvel also doesn't like foaming detergents—it can't stand Mister Proper, it foams and gives an error message. The Bissel cleans well in the 125-square-meter office; there's no hair there, but it does have a fair amount of sand and removes shoe stains from the linoleum. It eats all types of detergent and doesn't foam. The battery isn't always long enough for the entire office, especially when we get a lot of foot traffic. We mainly clean the reception area and the office, and the cleaning lady who comes once a week cleans the rest. In fact, they took it so as not to drown in dirt between the cleaning lady’s visits – it performs its function well.
We also had a Karcher mop, but it was complete crap - the rollers spin, the mop tries to escape from your hands, it doesn't pick up any debris, it doesn't use all the detergents, the battery lasted for 120 square meters, the only plus was probably its ability to clean tiles with a 5, including removing small lint and hairs, and limescale.
Good afternoon. I'd like to tell you about my purchase of an Atvel upright vacuum cleaner.
An irreplaceable item. We have a two-story house, one vacuum cleaner is on the first floor, and a second one is on the second.
The total area is 130 sq. m. Two vacuum cleaners are enough to wash the floors on the first and second floors twice. The first wash is done with a foam cleaner to remove ingrained dirt from the laminate, and the second wash is done with plain water.
After 2 years of use, it works without any complaints, fully satisfies our needs and does its job.
We use it once a week, and we run the robots midweek. I don't know of any vacuum cleaner better than this one. It's budget-friendly, cleans well, and isn't a well-known brand, comparable to Dyson.
The tank has stopped collecting dirty water. It pours water into the tray during self-cleaning, but not a drop gets into the tank... What can I do? There's no error message. It charges as usual.
