The robot can autonomously clean rooms for 60-80 minutes, collecting approximately 200 milliliters of dirt per cycle. Charging takes approximately four hours, and the battery's current charge level is indicated by a battery indicator light: if it glows purple, the REDMOND RV-R350 is fully charged, and if it flashes red, the device requires recharging. It's important to note that the vacuum cleaner must be charged manually from the mains, as automatic charging is not provided by the docking station.

The noise level is around 65 dB. While not the lowest among similar robot vacuum cleaners, the noise is still not noticeable and won't interfere with daily activities.

Functional capabilities

The robot vacuum cleaner cleans thanks to two side brushes that sweep debris toward the suction opening, through which it enters the dust collector with a cleaning filter installed.

Floor cleaningFloor cleaning

Floor cleaning

The REDMOND RV-R350 is very easy to maintain: simply wipe the body with a damp, soft cloth. However, do not wash it under water or submerge it in water. However, it is recommended to wash the side brushes, dust collector, and nozzle under running water and a mild detergent.

The robot vacuum cleaner has the following operating modes:

  • fully automatic trajectory construction (default) – the robot vacuum cleaner cleans the existing cleaning area, calculating the route automatically;
  • local (area) – designed for cleaning particularly dirty and dusty areas along a spiral trajectory with expansion of the cleaning area;
  • corner cleaning - REDMOND RV-R350 moves straight along the perimeter of the room, cleaning the surface along baseboards and in corners;
  • Zigzag mode is most effective when working in rooms with a large area of regular geometry.

The robot vacuum cleaner mode is selected using a single control button on the body itself, since a remote control is not included in the package.

Operating instructions

The REDMOND RV-R350 manual is available in Russian, Ukrainian, and Kazakh. It describes safety precautions, provides an overview of the package contents, the robot's design and specifications, and provides recommendations for use, care, storage, and transportation, as well as its main functions.

You can download the operating instructions in Russian by following the link: RV-R350 manual.

Advantages and disadvantages

Pros:

  1. Discreet design.
  2. Compact dimensions.
  3. Several operating modes.
  4. There is a battery charge indicator.
  5. Wet floor cleaning function.
  6. Working with different floor coverings.
  7. Easy to operate and maintain.

Since the model falls into the budget price segment (the average price is about $65 in 2019), we will only highlight the obvious shortcomings of the REDMOND RV-R350 robot vacuum cleaner.

Cons:

  1. Manual charging (charging on the base is not provided).
  2. Small dust collector capacity.
  3. Low capacity nickel-metal hydride battery.
  4. The remote control is not included.

While the robot is certainly very basic, lacking world-class navigation and efficiency, and unable to vacuum up large debris, it can be a great home assistant for budget-conscious shoppers.

    Where did the author see so many cleaning modes in it? Specifically, "Local" and "Zigzag"? In reality, it always turns right. Sometimes it can't get out of a rectangular niche because it turns the wrong way...

    Author, how do you switch modes if the only button only turns it on and off? I bought it for 3990 and plan to return it, because even for that price it's like a toy. In reality, it's faster to do everything manually. The box says 4 sensors, but it only has 3. If there's a lot of furniture, it's useless. It can drive around the same spot for 20 minutes, following the same path, leaving the entire apartment floor dirty. What's the point if you still have to clean up the mess? Or watch it like a supervisor, running after it and guiding it manually.
