Now let's assemble this vacuum cleaner and take a look at its design. Let's start with the bottom. It contains a separate dust container, which can be removed by gently pressing the latch on the side.

At the back, we see the terminals for charging the vacuum cleaner at the charging station. This option is much more convenient than charging the vacuum cleaner manually.

The charging station itself, by the way, is equipped with a suction cup to the floor, so it will not constantly move when installing the vacuum cleaner.

Let's take a look at the main brush. The front brush has a compartment underneath for easy cleaning of the air duct, should a large object get caught and block the suction. The fluffy lint roller is also secured with a lock. The roller is of high quality and is more suitable for cleaning hard floors. The lint will not only collect hair, fur, and debris, but also won't scratch wood floors, which is a plus.

Let's get back to assembling the vacuum cleaner. The metal tube is first attached to the bottom.

The metal tube houses the vacuum cleaner's control buttons, including the power on/off button and the suction power adjustment button. On the back, there's a handle switch that opens the tube at the end for connection to a handheld vacuum cleaner, if needed.

The next step is to assemble the handheld vacuum cleaner. It consists of the main unit, battery, and dust container.

The main unit handle features a button on the inside. Pressing this button detaches the handheld vacuum cleaner from the main unit's metal tube. An informative display on the end shows the battery percentage, power level, and error indicators.

On the front, we see duplicate power buttons, as well as a suction power control button. There are three power levels. The buttons are conveniently placed, right under your thumb.

Let's take a look at the dust bin of a handheld vacuum cleaner. It opens conveniently from the bottom for emptying small debris. However, pet hair and fur are difficult to shake out through the bottom lid. The filtration system includes a HEPA filter, a sponge filter, a cyclone filter, and a mesh filter.

Assembling a handheld vacuum cleaner is quite simple; all parts are connected using fairly secure fasteners.

The final step is to attach the handheld vacuum to the bottom section with the floor brush. Here's what the vacuum looks like when fully assembled:

Now let's look at the additional attachments included in the kit. All attachments are installed without clips, but they fit snugly into the handheld vacuum cleaner, preventing them from falling out during use. Additionally, each attachment, except for the mattress attachment, can be connected via a flexible hose.

The mattress attachment connects directly to the handheld vacuum cleaner. It contains terminals for powering the turbo brush and UV lamps for surface disinfection.

The brush is removed from the side by turning the locking mechanism. The turbo brush itself is made of bristles and petals.

By the way, here's how the UV lamp works. It's designed with a safety feature—the lamp only turns on when the brush touches the surface, preventing any harm.

Well, that's what the switch on the metal tube is for. The end of the tube connects to a handheld vacuum cleaner, and the back accepts a connector and a suitable attachment. This setup makes it easy to vacuum up dust on cabinets, air conditioners, or shelves.

Technical specifications

The main characteristics of the Genio Magic Stick M30, as stated by the manufacturer:

  • Power consumption 600 W.
  • Suction power up to 200 AW.
  • Li-Ion battery 3000 mAh.
  • Dust collector capacity is 600 ml.
  • Operating time up to 80 minutes in minimum power mode.
  • Noise level up to 75 dB.

The only thing we can highlight here is that this is the most powerful vacuum cleaner we've reviewed, based on its stated specifications. Next, we'll test its actual suction power and compare it to similar products.

It's also worth noting that the fully assembled vacuum cleaner weighs about 3.2 kg, while the handheld vacuum cleaner alone weighs 1.5 kg, which is standard for upright vacuum cleaners.

Testing

A video with detailed tests and a review of this upright vacuum cleaner has already been prepared and published on the channel. We recommend watching:

Battery life

Let's move on to the tests. First, we'll check the vacuum cleaner's battery life in maximum mode. At the start of the test, the battery was charged to 100%.

Here's an interesting point. The Genio Magic Stick M30 ran for almost 12 minutes at maximum power, and only when the battery charge reached 20% did it automatically switch to medium suction power; it couldn't manually switch back to maximum. And then, at medium power, it ran for another three and a half minutes, for a total of 15 and a half minutes. Of course, even 12 minutes is a very good runtime. Most powerful handheld vacuums last no more than 10-11 minutes in Turbo mode.

At medium power, the same vacuum cleaner lasted about half an hour, which is plenty for a full house or apartment cleaning. If you need much more time, you can purchase an additional battery and replace it with a charged one mid-cleaning.

Suction power

Now let's test the Genio Magic Stick M30's suction power on our test bench. Even with the floor nozzle, it was able to thoroughly vacuum debris from crevices up to 10 mm deep.

Suction powerSuction power

Suction power

For domestic use, this is more than sufficient, and the overall results are very good. Many similar vacuums can only vacuum debris from crevices as small as 6 and 8 mm deep, using the same fluffy roller.

Quality of cleaning

The next test will demonstrate cleaning performance on laminate and carpet. We scattered hair, pet hair, small debris, cat food, and litter on the laminate floor. The Genio Magic Stick M30 cleaned the floor perfectly. The turbo brush picks up various types of debris well, while also effectively picking up debris in corners and along baseboards. There are no uncleaned areas.

Cleaning quality on hard floorsCleaning quality on hard floors

At the same time, virtually no hair or fur got tangled up on the brush itself. This is a plus. All debris was collected in the dust collector, and thanks to the cyclonic technology, it was compacted well against the walls of the container.

Dust collector conditionDust collector condition

Dust collector condition

Even on carpet, the Genio Magic Stick M30 cleaned the same debris well. True, the brush doesn't pick up all the debris on the first pass, but as mentioned earlier, this type of roller is generally more suitable for hard floors. This vacuum cleaner even cleans carpets without leaving any debris behind.

Quality of carpet cleaning

So, in the end, we can say that the Genio Magic Stick M30 is a powerful upright vacuum cleaner that picks up dirt efficiently. It does its primary job perfectly, so the test counts!

Noise level

Now, let's test how loud this vacuum cleaner is in different modes. At minimum power, the noise level reaches 76.4 dB, which is already higher than the stated noise level. At medium power, it's within the same range. And at maximum power, the peak noise level was 78 dB.

Noise levelNoise level

Noise level

Yes, the noise level is elevated, but not critical. And given the truly high suction power, the increased noise is entirely justified.

Additional features

In addition to cleaning floors, the Genio Magic Stick M30 is suitable for cleaning mattresses, upholstered furniture, hard-to-reach areas like the junction of ceilings and walls, and even car interiors. A wide range of attachments makes this upright vacuum cleaner extremely versatile.

Cleaning waste bins

Finally, let's share our thoughts on how the dust bin is emptied. The lower bin can be easily removed by pressing the latch on the side. Next, remove the cyclone filter and simply shake the debris out of the bin. It's very convenient and prevents your hands from coming into direct contact with the debris, which is a plus.

The main dust container, however, is less convenient to empty from the bottom if it's full of pet hair and debris. I recommend also emptying it from the top, by shaking it out.

Let's sum it up

The Genio Magic Stick M30 was thoroughly reviewed and tested. Looking ahead, we'd like to emphasize that it's the most powerful and most versatile cordless vacuum cleaner we've reviewed. Here are some of its advantages:

  1. High suction power.
  2. Long battery life.
  3. High-quality waste collection on both hard surfaces and carpets.
  4. Wide range of attachments included.
  5. Removable battery.
  6. Convenient charging at the station.
  7. Vertical parking.
  8. Good build quality.
  9. Well-thought-out filtration system.
  10. Ergonomic design.
  11. Informative display on the body.
  12. Availability of warranty and service support.

No significant drawbacks were identified. The only minor complaints are the increased noise during operation, which is due to the powerful motor. It would also be nice to have a replaceable turbo brush specifically for carpets included in such a complete package, which could be installed in place of the lint roller.

Some users note the heavy weight of the fully assembled unit, but during testing, this upright vacuum cleaner felt comfortable to use. The weight is well distributed, the center of gravity is low, and thanks to the brush, the Genio Magic Stick M30 literally leads the way during cleaning, making it more comfortable.

So, overall, for the price, this is definitely one of the best upright vacuum cleaners of 2021. The device left a very positive impression, so it's definitely recommended.

On that note, I'd like to end this review. If you have any questions, please ask them in the comments. Happy shopping, everyone. Bye!
