Dibea D900

The Dibea D900 robot vacuum cleaner is a robotic cleaning assistant for homes and offices. It effectively cleans tiles, ceramic tiles, linoleum, parquet, laminate, wood floors, carpets, and low-pile carpeting, and can also damp-mop the floor in addition to vacuuming. Its compact size allows it to reach hard-to-reach areas, including under beds, sofas, and other furniture, sweeping up lingering debris and accumulated dust. A high-quality filtration system ensures clean and fresh air in the room. Read on to learn more about this Chinese "tech marvel" in our review of the Dibea D900 Rover.
Equipment
The Dibea robot vacuum cleaner comes with:
- The robot itself has two side brushes, a turbo brush, a rechargeable battery, and a container for collecting debris.
- Charging base.
- Network adapter.
- Remote control with AAA batteries included in the accessories.
- Water tank, wet cleaning device with a microfiber cloth.
- Spare cloth.
- Two spare side brushes.
- Additional HEPA filter.
- Vacuum cleaner cleaning brush.
- User manual and warranty.
Appearance
The design of the Dibea D900 robot vacuum cleaner is reminiscent of the well-known Neato robotic vacuum cleanersThe robot has the same D-shape and is made of high-quality brown plastic with a golden sheen. The surface is glossy and shiny. The device looks quite presentable and attractive. The top of the vacuum cleaner houses one main button to start the device, a dust bin cover, and a button to open it.
A side view of the robot allows us to see the bumper, infrared collision sensors, ventilation hole, power on/off button and a socket for connecting the network adapter directly on the other side.
When looking at the robot vacuum cleaner from below, you can see powerful side wheels, a swivel caster at the front, contact pads for recharging on the base, two brushes on the sides, a motorized central turbo brush with nylon bristles, a battery cover, anti-drop sensors, and areas for attaching a wet cleaning tank with a microfiber cloth.

Functional capabilities
Let's take a look at the functions the Dibea D900 Rover cordless robot vacuum cleaner can perform and the cleaning modes it can operate in.
To begin with, let's look at the main operating modes (algorithms):
- "Lune-line": cleaning in a serpentine arc. This mode is ideal for cleaning large areas with uniform dirt levels.
- "V-line": the algorithm is used when cleaning rooms limited by a large number of furniture and objects, along a V-shaped trajectory.
- "Edge Cleaning": cleaning debris and dust along walls and in the corners of the room.
All of these movement algorithms are combined into a single "Auto" mode, where the robot automatically selects its trajectory based on its surroundings. There's also a "Spot Cleaning" mode: activated by pressing a dedicated button on the remote control, it's designed to clean a small area of the room using a circular, spiral motion.
The robot vacuum cleaner has a cleaning scheduling function that uses a timer, meaning that you don't set a specific time for the device to start, but rather a time after which it should begin cleaning the room.
The Dibea D900 can also wet-mop the floor while sweeping and vacuuming. To do this, attach a water-filled reservoir to the bottom of the robot vacuum and attach a microfiber cloth, which will be evenly moistened during cleaning.
As the test showed, the robot excels at its primary purpose—cleaning rooms of accumulated dirt and dust. This is despite the lack of a sophisticated navigation system or room mapping capability. A welcome addition is the anti-tangle system, which ensures the vacuum cleaner shuts off promptly and prevents it from stalling, wasting battery life.
Advantages and disadvantages
The Dibea D900 model has many advantages, including:
- Optimal value for money.
- Ultra-thin body, small size.
- Stylish, pleasant appearance.
- Automatic installation on the charging base.
- Remote control with remote control.
- Fine filter.
- Bumper and infrared sensors against collisions and falls from heights.
- High suction power, cleaning efficiency.
- Several movement algorithms.
- Anti-entanglement system.
- Wet floor mopping function.
- Availability of a timer.
Overview of robot vacuum cleaner disadvantages:
- Short battery life.
- Small dust collector capacity and very small water tank capacity.
- The absence of a movement limiter among the components.
- Lack of service centers.
Considering the average price of this model in 2018 is $110, its features and specifications are quite competitive. The only thing I'd like to point out is that this robot vacuum cleaner must be ordered from AliExpress or similar sites, which presents some difficulties.
