Design

The robot vacuum cleaner's body has a matte finish and is made of white plastic. The top of the device houses the dust container compartment lid, which features a decorative transparent plastic insert with a silver backing. It is laminated with a plastic film and accented with a tinted plastic insert. The surface around the perimeter of the device has a mirror-smooth finish. The control panel, which includes a touch button and two rows of blue LEDs that indicate the iLife V5's current status, is also located here.

The robot vacuum cleaner has a nearly perfect round shape and compact dimensions. Its lower edges are chamfered for better obstacle avoidance. The front is framed by a spring-loaded, soft-touch bumper with a flexible plastic strip. Also on the front are obstacle detection sensors, a docking station sensor, and a remote control. On the other side of the front is the power port and the robot vacuum's off button.

The bottom of the device contains contact pads, a front swivel support wheel, two side wheels, left and right side brushes, a battery compartment cover, a suction pipe with a rubber skirt, and three infrared height difference sensors.

Functional capabilities

Description of the main operating modes of the Chuwi iLife V5:

  • Automatic mode – in this mode, the robot moves randomly between obstacles, and after a collision, it switches its trajectory to move along walls, then returns to its previous mode. It performs a series of cycles until the battery is completely discharged, after which it returns to the base to recharge. This mode is activated either by the Clean button on the control panel or by the remote control.
  • Local (Local) – an intensive cleaning mode for a specific, heavily soiled area. In this mode, the robot vacuum cleaner increases power and moves in a spiral pattern with a gradually increasing radius. To activate this function, press the spiral button on the remote control.
  • Cleaning around the perimeter of the premises – when working in this mode, iLife thoroughly cleans dirt and dust along the walls.
  • Manual – using the remote control, you can manually control the iLife V5's movement and direct it to the desired location. This mode can be activated using the arrow and rectangle buttons on the remote control, but only after automatic mode is enabled.

There's also a feature that allows you to schedule daily room cleaning at a preset time. This feature is activated by setting the current time and the cleaning start time using the remote control. Then, it's important to synchronize the cleaning process, monitoring it with audible alerts.

The robot vacuum's dust container consists of two filters (a pre-mesh filter and a HEPA filter) and has a capacity of 300 milliliters, requiring frequent cleaning. However, this is quite easy: pressing the Push button on the body opens the container compartment, and the handle easily removes it. Afterwards, simply remove the filters and shake out the accumulated dirt and dust. The container itself can be rinsed with water and then thoroughly dried. For wet cleaning, attach a microfiber cloth to the special attachment with Velcro.

Operating instructions

The user manual, which is in both Chinese and English, may cause some difficulties when using the robot vacuum. However, you can use the Russian-language manual for the iLife V5s pro model, which differs slightly from the V5.

You can download the iLife V5 user manual in Russian from our website. To do this, follow the link: iLife V5 manual.
