Roborock Dyad Pro Combo: A TOP-tier wet/dry vacuum cleaner

The Roborock Dyad Pro Combo handheld vacuum cleaner hit the market back in 2023, gained immense popularity within a year, and finally landed in my review. Its key feature is the detachable main unit, which can be equipped with the included dry cleaning attachments. Thus, the Roborock Dyad Pro Combo can be used to mop floors, vacuum, clean a sofa, and even spot-clean various surfaces. Essentially, it's a versatile handheld vacuum cleaner. So, below, I'll show you how the vacuum cleaner works, what it can do, highlight its pros and cons, and express my opinion on whether it's worth buying. And speaking of price, it's in the $460-$600 range. So, let's get started!
Equipment
The Roborock Dyad Pro Combo arrived in this branded box:
In addition to the vacuum cleaner itself and a base with nozzle holders, the delivery kit includes:
- Dust collector.
- Crevice nozzle.
- Nozzle for cleaning upholstered furniture.
- Extension tube.
- Floor nozzle.
- Power adapter.
- Vacuum cleaner cleaning tool.
- Spare HEPA filter.
- The operating instructions are in Russian. In my case, they're in Russian.
Appearance
Now let's take a look at the Roborock Dyad Pro Combo's design. Let's start with the vacuum cleaner itself. It has a familiar design. The cleaning module is located at the bottom. Above it are the dirty and clean water tanks. Above that is the control handle for the vacuum cleaner.
So, the cleaning module is represented by three rollers, just like the Roborck Dyad Pro, which was already reviewed.
There are two rollers at the front, each extending close to the edge of the body. Behind them is a single roller that extends almost the entire width of the body.
The front rollers are easily removed by pulling them sideways. The rear roller needs to be twisted to release it from its locking mechanism. One side is equipped with a splash guard to prevent water from splashing outside the cleaning module.
Above the cleaning module, we see a detergent reservoir. It is automatically mixed with clean water during floor washing and self-cleaning. According to the manufacturer, its capacity is sufficient for 20 tanks of clean water, or 700 minutes of operation. Economical consumption.
Let's move on to an overview of the remaining components. The clean water tank holds 950 ml. A coarse filter is installed inside.
The 770 ml dirty water tank contains a HEPA filter with a mesh screen and a coarse filter.
There are three control buttons on the handle: power on/off, switching operating modes and starting the self-cleaning function.
All information is displayed on an informative display. The vacuum cleaner itself features four operating modes: automatic, maximum, floor drying or liquid suction, and a light, or economical, mopping mode. In automatic mode, the Roborock Dyad Pro Combo automatically adjusts suction power based on how dirty the floor is.
And here's the vacuum cleaner's main feature: press the button next to the display and pull the main unit toward you, which unfastens. Attach the dust bag and the desired attachment, and you've got a fully functional dry vacuum cleaner.
The handheld vacuum cleaner has two control buttons: power on/off, and switching between automatic and maximum operating modes.
Let's take a look at the additional attachments included with the kit. The main floor nozzle features a roller with short bristles. This type of roller has proven effective for cleaning carpets, but it also picks up debris well on hard floors. Unfortunately, the roller can't be removed from the nozzle. Cleaning it is not as convenient, but it is possible.
The upholstery cleaning tool features a turbo brush with bristle inserts. This turbo brush can be removed from the housing for cleaning. The crevice tool has retractable bristles. The design is familiar.
As for the dust container, its filtration system consists of a HEPA filter, a foam filter, and a cyclone filter with a mesh. The dust container capacity is 465 ml.
The last thing to consider is the base. Here, the Roborock Dyad Pro Combo charges, self-cleans, and dries its rollers with warm air.
All the pros and cons of the design will be discussed during the final review. Let's move on!
Technical specifications
The main characteristics of the Roborock Dyad Pro Combo, as stated by the manufacturer:
- Power consumption: 260 W.
- Suction power: up to 17000 Pa
- Operating time: up to 43/up to 60 min
- Clean water tank: 950 ml
- Dirty water tank: 770 ml
- Dust collector: 465 ml.
- Drying temperature for rollers: 50 degrees.
- Noise level: 71-81 dB
- Weight: 5.5 kg/2.7 kg.
I personally tested the noise level. When mopping the floor, it was between 71-75 dB, and when using a handheld vacuum, it reached 81 dB, which is in line with most similar devices.
The fully assembled wet/dry vacuum weighs approximately 5.5 kg. The fully assembled dry vacuum weighs 2,672 grams, including the main unit (1,622 grams), the extension tube (239 grams), and the floor nozzle (811 grams).
We also tested the Roborock Dyad Pro Combo's battery life in dry cleaning mode at maximum power with the main floor nozzle attached. It managed 36 minutes and 7 seconds of runtime, which is a very impressive result.
Functional capabilities
I'd like to highlight the features of the Roborock Dyad Pro Combo. This upright vacuum cleaner is controlled via a proprietary mobile app. It allows you to flexibly customize cleaning parameters. For example, you can select one of four operating modes and adjust parameters for the automatic mode (such as suction power, water flow rate to the rollers, roller speed, and detergent amount). You can also select one of the self-cleaning modes, adjust the roller drying time on the base, schedule roller drying, and even monitor the status of consumables.
I'd also like to point out that the Roborock Dyad Pro Combo supports voice commands. My version is localized, so the commands are in Russian.
Testing
A detailed video review of the Roborock Dyad Pro Combo, including all tests, has already been prepared and published on the channel:
Washing the floor
And finally, let's move on to the tests. We'll check how well this vacuum cleaner performs its primary function. There will be several tests, from simple to more complex.
The vacuum cleaner handles everyday floor cleaning well. In automatic mode, it automatically adjusts suction power depending on the degree of dirtiness of the floor. Liquid is thoroughly sucked into the dirty water tank, leaving no streaks or puddles.
You can also use the vacuum cleaner to pick up liquids and mixtures, like in my case, a mixture of raw egg and flour. Very convenient.
The vacuum cleaner removes dirt with flying colors, leaving no streaks or marks. Moreover, as mentioned earlier, the Roborock Dyad Pro Combo can clean right up to baseboards, leaving no blind spots, thanks to the design of its rollers extending to the edge of the unit.
However, it does remove tough stains with some difficulty. It does take some time. In my case, I was able to remove the stains in about 4 minutes, even without using any detergent, as none was included. Nevertheless, the result is one of the best among the wet/dry vacuum cleaners I've tested.
After all the tests, we checked the self-cleaning performance of the wet/dry vacuum cleaner, and here again, the Roborock Dyad Pro Combo did not disappoint. It cleans dirt and debris effectively. The self-cleaning algorithm is well-designed. The roller alternately rotates in different directions, improving cleaning performance. And most interestingly, the cleaning module remained clean even after this challenging test.
Later, during use, I noticed a small blind spot between the short rollers. Apparently, it can't be cleaned, and this is worth considering. However, in real-life conditions, the self-cleaning performance is good, and such problems shouldn't be encountered. Roller drying is also effective, especially if you set the drying time to 6 hours.
Suction power
I'll also show you how the Roborock Dyad Pro Combo handles dry cleaning when using additional attachments.
As for suction power, at maximum power, the vacuum cleaner was able to suck up debris from a 35 mm gap. So, I can say this is a powerful upright vacuum.
Collecting debris on laminate flooring
Now let's test how well the Roborock Dyad Pro Combo picks up debris from the floor. I scattered various types of debris on the laminate flooring: hair, fur, grains, and other small household debris. This device performed well. The only thing I noticed was a blind spot in the corners. The roller barely picks up any hair or fur. All debris was collected in the dust bin.
Carpet cleaning
The vacuum cleaner also does a good job of cleaning carpets thanks to its well-designed roller. That's a plus.
Using additional attachments
Finally, I'd like to add that the additional attachments allow you to clean a sofa, reach areas the main nozzle can't reach, and even clean the inside of a car if necessary. In short, this vacuum cleaner is suitable for a variety of applications.
Personal opinion
The Roborock Dyad Pro Combo upright vacuum cleaner has been thoroughly reviewed and tested. I'll highlight its pros and cons, then share my personal opinion. I liked the following:
- High-quality floor washing and dirt removal.
- Unlike all analogues, it COMPLETELY removes dirt along the baseboard.
- Automatic mixing of detergent.
- The presence of a removable hand-held vacuum cleaner and a set of attachments for complete dry cleaning.
- High-quality waste collection on both hard surfaces and carpets.
- High power.
- Long battery life.
- High-quality self-cleaning.
- Complete drying of the roller with hot air.
- Automatic power increase when the vacuum cleaner detects dirt.
- Informative LED display on the body.
- Flexible cleaning settings in the app.
- Voice notifications in Russian for the Russified version.
- Stylish design.
- Increased capacity of water tanks.
- Ergonomic design.
- High quality assembly.
- Availability of warranty and service.
Speaking about shortcomings, in fact these are more like comments, but nevertheless they exist:
- The main floor nozzle is not removable and has a blind spot in the corner.
- Non-removable battery.
- It is forbidden to wash the floor in a horizontal position, which is relevant in 2024.
- There are no combs installed behind the rollers, and the cleaning module may become clogged with hair and fur, as also evidenced by online reviews.
Overall, I personally consider this one of the best upright wet vacuums even in 2024, so I think it was right to place it first in the previously released ranking of the best wet vacuums of late 2023 – early 2024. The Roborock Dyad Pro Combo is effective, versatile, convenient, and stylish, and, just as importantly, it comes from a proven brand. I definitely recommend it if you're looking for a wet upright vacuum with dry attachments.
On that note, I'd like to end this review. If you have any questions, please ask them in the comments. Happy shopping, everyone. Bye!
