iBoto Aqua V710

iBoto Aqua V710 is one of the latest models Aiboto robotic vacuum cleaners (Year of release: 2016). It addresses the shortcomings of most traditional robots, adds room cleaning mechanisms, and implements full dry and wet cleaning functions. This robotic cleaner can vacuum and wash smooth flooring (laminate, linoleum, parquet, and tile), as well as remove dust from short-pile carpets. It's an indispensable assistant for high-quality cleaning of apartments, houses, offices, and hotel rooms. You can read an overview of the iBoto Aqua V710's main features and capabilities in our article.
Equipment
The robot vacuum cleaner comes in a small cardboard box with a convenient carrying handle. The package includes accessories, spare parts, and consumables, including:
- docking station;
- power unit;
- additional container for wet cleaning;
- brush for cleaning the container;
- additional side brushes;
- replaceable HEPA filter;
- spare microfiber cloth;
- virtual wall;

Design
As you can see from the review photos, the robot vacuum cleaner has a very elegant appearance. The robot's body is almost perfectly round with beveled edges at the bottom, which helps it overcome obstacles. It is made of plastic and features a harmonious combination of two colors: a glossy white top and a matte black bottom. The top of the robot features a panel covered with a plate of tempered mineral glass, which houses a mechanical chrome button for activating automatic mode.

Functional capabilities
Despite its compact size, the robotic cleaner offers extensive functionality. One of its key advantages is its full-featured wet cleaning function. This is possible thanks to a separate container filled with water or detergent. Liquid from the reservoir automatically flows from the container onto the microfiber cloth as it mops the floor, constantly wetting it. This model performs this function differently than conventional vacuum cleaners. robotic vacuum cleaners, in which the liquid is sprayed in front of the cloth and then collected along with the debris, and is used after dry cleaning, like a mop.
For more effective cleaning of the room, the robot is equipped with different movement algorithms.
When operating in automatic mode, the robot vacuum cleaner moves randomly throughout the room, cleaning along baseboards and in corners, and making several passes around the perimeter. After finishing its work, the device returns to the base to recharge.
In Local Mode, the iBoto Aqua V710 moves in a spiral-like pattern. In this mode, it can clean a single room and then turn off, saving energy.
You can set a schedule for the robot vacuum cleaner to move every day, and it will do so at a certain time even if there is no one in the room.
If desired, you can limit the cleaning area using a virtual wall. The device will not cross the created invisible barrier.
The robot vacuum cleaner is equipped with an intelligent system that adjusts suction power depending on the level of dirt, helping to conserve battery life. For more intensive cleaning of heavily soiled areas or carpets, the MAX mode increases suction power and brush speed to the maximum. During wet cleaning, the motor is turned off and the side brush speed is reduced.
The iBoto Aqua V710 distinguishes itself from its predecessors with a number of design features and functionality. The most noticeable difference is the absence of a central brush.
An intelligent system built on the coordinated operation of a large number of sensors makes cleaning highly efficient and sophisticated. The robot perfectly recognizes any obstacles in its path using 12 sensors located in the front of the body, which measure the distance to objects. This allows the device to maneuver easily, avoiding obstacles and avoiding collisions.
Three height-detection sensors allow for timely response to changes in height and prevent the robot vacuum cleaner from falling.
Upon detecting an obstacle in its path, the iBoto Aqua V710 changes direction or slows down, approaching it until it makes light contact. A contact bumper, located on the front of the body and housing touch sensors, helps soften the impact. A rubber strip on the front of the bumper protects furniture and the bumper from damage. In addition to traditional sensors, the vacuum cleaner also has dirt sensors.
Operating instructions
A Russian-language user manual is included with the robot vacuum cleaner. It features high-quality text and printed graphics. It provides a detailed description of this model's features, its main characteristics and functions, and lists possible causes of malfunctions and troubleshooting steps. Following the manufacturer's care and proper operation recommendations outlined in the manual will help make cleaning more effective and extend the life of the robot vacuum cleaner.

Advantages and disadvantages
The iBoto Aqua V710 has a number of advantages, an overview of which is presented in this list:
- Stylish design.
- High quality of floor cleaning.
- Optimal balance between price, functionality and quality.
- Possibility of adjusting the suction power.
- Full wet wiping function.
- Two-level waste collection system.
- The presence of two capacious containers: a waste bin and a liquid reservoir.
- Low noise level.
The Aiboto Aqua V710 has some minor drawbacks:
- Wet cleaning can only be carried out after preliminary dry cleaning.
- Additional purchase of power supplies for the virtual wall and remote control.
- The absence of a central brush may reduce the effectiveness of cleaning carpets and collecting pet hair.
This review of the iBoto Aqua V710 demonstrates its advantages over many mid-range models currently on the robotics market. In some respects, it even outperforms more expensive models from well-known brands. The average price of a robot vacuum cleaner in 2019 is $150–$160, but it's important to note that an updated model has appeared on the market.iBoto Aqua V715B, which, at the same price, does a slightly better job of cleaning and is also equipped with a turbo brush.

Does this vacuum cleaner have a UV lamp for disinfection?
Hello! No, this model does not have a UV lamp.
Yes, it's really quiet, very beautiful (white glass on top), looks great on a white floor, and has high-quality side brushes. I also have a Kitfort robot, but its brushes are completely worn out after a month. This one is still like new after three months. Another thing that surprised me is that dust doesn't stick to the body. There's no disinfection lamp, but it's not needed. Don't be fooled by this: for disinfection, you need to turn on strong quartz lamps and remove all living things from the room.
The vacuum cleaner is quite quiet and quite powerful (again, in comparison).
Important! Cleaning mode is not compatible with mopping mode. It's either one or the other. Swap the dust container for a water container. This is convenient for me, but not so much for many. In mopping mode, suction is disabled, and the vacuum cleaner can ^mopping^ forever, as energy consumption is reduced. Mopping is a strong word, but that's true for any robot. Simply keep the floor clean, washed by hand once or twice a week. By the way, the cloth is really tiny. When mopping, be sure to rinse the cloth at least every 15 minutes. That's true for any robot.
And now the fun part! The robot worked EXACTLY THREE MONTHS AND BROKE. There's no service or repair service. I had to return it to the store where I bought it; the inspection period is 45 days. The cause of the breakdown was a faulty orientation sensor (judging by the malfunction signals from the robot itself). Now I'm without a vacuum cleaner and without money. Something like that...
There are two inaccuracies in the technical specifications in this review:
1. The actual volume of the dust collector is 0.6 l;
2. The actual battery life in dry cleaning mode is about 80 minutes, which is almost half the advertised time. We haven't gotten around to using the vacuum in wet mode yet. I think it will be longer, but not much (?).
The rest is correct.
How does it handle defects? I couldn't find this information anywhere... My threshold between the rooms is 1.5 cm.
