iPlus X500pro

Today, in our review, we'll discuss the budget-friendly robot vacuum cleaner from Japanese manufacturer Cleverpanda—the iPlus X500pro. This vacuum cleaner is distinguished by its simplicity and lack of unnecessary features. Its design and built-in features allow it to independently dry clean hard floors (linoleum, laminate, parquet, wood) and low-pile rugs. The device can collect dust, dirt, and crumbs, as well as hair and pet hair. Its suction power is sufficient for this purpose. Let's take a closer look at the iPlus X500pro.
Equipment
The delivery set includes only the most necessary accessories for autonomous cleaning of the premises:
- The iPlus X500 pro robot vacuum cleaner itself.
- Remote control.
- Power adapter.
- Two filters.
- Side brushes.
- Instructions.
- Warranty card.
The robot is shipped in a branded white box, complete with additional protective cardboard trays. According to the manufacturer, the charging station is not included, so the robot must be recharged manually from a power outlet.
Design
The iPlus X500pro's design is fairly basic. Its body is made of white plastic, and the robot vacuum cleaner has a traditional round shape. While white plastic might seem more easily soiled, the black version actually shows dust and stains more easily. Viewing the robot from above, we see nothing out of the ordinary other than the power button, a slightly protruding sensor, and the dust compartment cover.
On one side of the device there is a bumper with a protective strip attached, then an on/off button, a socket for connecting the charging cable, and a small ventilation hole.
The back of the iPlus X500 pro looks like this: two side brushes with three brushes each, two drive wheels, one small front wheel for turning, a battery compartment cover, a suction hole and a sticker containing a description of the main characteristics of the device.
Along the perimeter of the device there are sensors to prevent collisions with obstacles, to prevent falls from heights, as well as a sensor to detect the dirtiest surfaces.

A positive feature is the dust bin full indicator, so you don't have to constantly check it yourself. For a budget robot vacuum, this feature is unexpected, but welcome.
Functional capabilities
The iPlus X500 pro robot vacuum cleaner operates thanks to two side brushes and a small suction port. The dust bin has a medium capacity of 0.4 liters and a dual filtration system that thoroughly cleans the air. The device does not have a main brush, so cleaning it is hassle-free.
A brief overview of the robot vacuum cleaner modes:
- Automatic – simply start the device and it automatically cleans the room, and when finished, it returns to its original position.
- Local – This mode is especially useful if you've spilled small debris in a specific area. Simply position the robot vacuum in this area, and it will move in a spiral pattern to pick up the spilled debris from the floor.
- Perimeter cleaning – The iPlus X500pro can also move exclusively along the perimeter of a room, sweeping dirt along walls and in corners using its side brushes.
- Delayed start – set a specific start time for the device, and it will start automatically without your intervention.
You can also control the iPlus X500pro with a remote control, similar to a toy radio-controlled car.
As for the care and maintenance of the vacuum cleaner, you need to wipe the body and sensors around the perimeter with a dry, lint-free cloth, clean the side brushes, and also clean the wheels to prevent slippage and improper operation.
Operating instructions
The manufacturer's manual covers many important points that you should definitely read before using your robot vacuum cleaner for the first time. This information covers care, proper operation, and troubleshooting the most common problems.

Advantages and disadvantages
Since the iPlus X500pro is aimed at mid-range buyers, we won't be too critical of the lack of a motion limiter or other smart features. However, it's worth noting that the manufacturer should have included a charging base, as most budget robot vacuums from other manufacturers offer this option.
The main advantages of the robot include:
- Low cost (from $55 to $80), availability.
- Pleasant appearance, neatness.
- Small body dimensions.
- A high-quality battery allows the device to operate autonomously for about an hour and a half.
- Good suction power.
- Double filtration system.
- Several different operating modes.
- Remote control included.
- Availability of various sensors, including a pollution sensor.
- Dust collector full indicator.
- Timer.
- Average noise level.
Disadvantages of a robot vacuum cleaner:
- Manual recharging.
- Poor equipment.
- The suction hole is too small.
- Poor navigation.
Don't expect miracles from this model at such a low price. However, the robot cleaner is certainly capable of making your life a little easier. Plus, if you have pets, the iPlus will help you collect their hair, which often ends up all over your apartment.
