Top 10 Robot Vacuum Cleaners of 2022: The Best of the Best

Greetings to all readers of the project! This rating will review the best robot vacuum cleaners of 2022. The top 10 includes the most advanced models, capable of high-quality cleaning over large areas with minimal human intervention. A brief overview of the characteristics and features will help you choose the best option for your needs. It's worth noting that the rating includes only premium models priced at $500 and above. If your budget doesn't allow for that kind of investment in a robot vacuum, I recommend checking out our separate reviews. robot vacuum cleaner ratings Across various price ranges. Even for $200-$300, you can find a robot vacuum cleaner that's both affordable and high-quality, capable of automatically keeping your home clean. Now, we're talking about the best of the best. So, let's get started!
Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra
Definitely the best robot vacuum cleaner of 2022 in terms of functionality and design solutions - new Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra.
This robot is equipped with a lidar system for navigation, a system of sensors and cameras for recognizing objects on the floor, as well as remote home monitoring, a powerful motor, and a dedicated self-cleaning station. Let's take a closer look at this station. This station not only allows the robot to charge and automatically empty its dust bin into a bag in the base, but also rinses its cleaning cloth during cleaning. This solution improves the effectiveness of wet cleaning over large areas, as the cleaning cloth will be periodically rinsed with water, and the robot will continue cleaning while cleaning with the cleaning cloth.
Speaking of the cleaning module, the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra can vacuum and mop simultaneously. Dirt is collected by the silicone side and center brushes, which are easy to clean of hair and pet hair. Behind the turbo brush unit is a cleaning cloth that vibrates as the robot moves and automatically lifts when it reaches carpets. This allows the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra to vacuum and mop the entire surface area, leaving carpets dry and clean.
The robot vacuum cleaner is controlled via a proprietary mobile app, which features all the latest features. High build quality and brand reliability are additional advantages. However, given the weight and features included, you'll have to pay around $1,500, making the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra far from the most affordable and optimal robot vacuum cleaner. Nevertheless, if we're talking about the best robot vacuum of 2022, this one is it. Sales are scheduled to begin in the second half of 2022.
Roidmi EVA
More affordable, and arguably the so-called "people's favorite," is the new Roidmi EVA, which can already be ordered on AliExpress for $800-900.
This robot vacuum boasts a lidar sensor, a bumper-mounted sensor system for detecting objects on the floor, and a combined station for rinsing the cleaning pads and emptying the dust bin. The Roidmi EVA's cleaning module consists of a central and side brush. Behind the central turbo brush are two rotating platforms with round cleaning pads. Compared to the Roborock, these pads are better at removing dirt from floors, but they don't lift up dirt on carpets, so I still recommend the Roidmi EVA for cleaning hard floors.
This robot vacuum cleaner can simultaneously vacuum and mop floors, rinsing the cloths in between at the station and self-cleaning the container when needed, making it ideal for high-quality cleaning over large areas. The robot is controlled via a mobile app, which provides access to all important functions for flexible cleaning settings. Overall, this device is equipped with all the latest features, and if you're looking for a robot vacuum for dry and wet cleaning on hard floors, and one that also features self-cleaning and rinsing, the Roidmi EVA is the best value for your money.
Hobot Legee D7
The top three is rounded out by a new one Hobot Legee D7Taiwanese company Hobot specializes in robotic window and floor cleaners. This new product is the first robotic vacuum cleaner in the line that can clean carpets as well as wet mopping.
The Legee D7 features a central turbo brush, and its cleaning cloth automatically lifts when it reaches carpeted floors. This allows the robot to simultaneously vacuum and mop, while also cleaning carpets and leaving them dry. Additionally, the Hobot Legee D7 boasts a D-shaped body, allowing the side brush to better sweep debris into corners, and a suction port in front of the turbo brush. This suction port pre-collects light debris, hair, and fur, eliminating the problem of the central brush constantly becoming entangled in hair and fur. According to the manufacturer, up to 80% of hair and fur is sucked up in front of the turbo brush, a major advantage for the robot. Another advantage is that in wet cleaning mode, water is not directed to the cleaning cloth, as in many other wet cleaning models, but is supplied by an intelligent system that doses the cleaning fluid based on the floor temperature. Moreover, water flows through 4 nozzles in front of the cloth, first dissolving the dirt.
Lidar is used for navigation. The robot vacuum is controlled via a proprietary mobile app, which offers all the advanced features for flexible cleaning settings. An additional highlight of the robot is its support for creative voice commands, which can be recorded manually. Importantly, Hobot provides a full warranty and service for its products. The robot will be priced at approximately $500 when it goes on sale in the second quarter of 2022.
Ecovacs DEEBOT OZMO T9 AIVI+
The ranking of the best robot vacuum cleaners of 2022 continues Ecovacs DEEBOT OZMO T9 AIVI+, who was the leader 2021 rankingThis robot vacuum cleaner, in my opinion, is better designed than the flagship model. OMNI X1, although it is inferior to it in terms of functionality.
The T9 AIVI+ is equipped with lidar for navigation, an active camera for floor recognition and remote home monitoring, and a self-cleaning dust bin. But that's not all the model's features. The robot's highlight is its dual silicone scrubber rollers, patented by iRobot. These rollers, paired with two side brushes, thoroughly pick up debris on both hard floors and carpets. They also quickly and easily remove tangled hair, pet hair, and other debris.
Additionally, the Ecovacs DEEBOT OZMO T9 AIVI+ boasts a water tank with a vibrating platform, a very powerful motor, and even a room fragrance cartridge that replaces the water tank. The mobile app offers a wide range of features for flexible cleaning settings. The robot is well-built, cleans efficiently, and is quite reasonably priced at around $700-750. If you're primarily looking for a robot vacuum for dry cleaning and only want wet cleaning as an option, I definitely recommend considering this option.
It's important to note that the robot can vacuum and mop simultaneously. While the flagship OMNI X1 boasts a combined rinsing and dust removal station, as well as two rotating round pads, in my opinion, at around $1,300, it's no better than the Roidmi EVA or Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra. The T9 AIVI+, however, is worth considering precisely because of its silicone rollers and reasonable price.
Dreame Bot W10
If you are looking for a good robot vacuum cleaner with precise navigation and a rinsing function for the wipes at the station, I recommend paying attention to the new Dreame Bot W10, which has already been reviewed.
The device is capable of not only high-quality dry and wet cleaning of large areas but also carpet cleaning if run without cleaning cloths. It is equipped with an extended central brush, a side brush, and two round cleaning cloths that rotate to remove dirt from the floor. Lidar navigation is provided. The Dreame Bot W10 is controlled via a mobile app, which offers useful features for automatically maintaining a clean home.
The robot's increased suction power, excellent maneuverability, even with cleaning pads installed, and easy-to-maintain station are worth noting. Furthermore, the Dreame Bot W10 boasts high build quality and better corner cleaning performance thanks to its unique body shape. Priced at approximately $900-$1,000 at the time of writing, the Roidmi is a more practical choice for many, as it also features self-cleaning capabilities with a similar module design. However, Dreame boasts a more reliable brand and even has official distributors on the market, who will soon begin selling this model.
Incidentally, there's already word about the new Dreame Bot W10 Pro coming to the Chinese market. The robot is identical in design and appearance, but its bumper now features a floor detection system, making it more autonomous and accurate. This version hasn't yet gone on sale.
Xiaomi Mijia Self-Cleaning Robot Vacuum-Mop Pro
An interesting double of the previous participant in the rating is the new Xiaomi Mijia Pro Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum, which can also be called the Xiaomi Mijia Self-Cleaning Robot Vacuum-Mop Pro (article STYTJ06ZHM).
The robot vacuum cleaner has the same design for its rinsing station, cleaning module, and navigation. Minor changes have been made to the body shape. The Xiaomi has a fully D-shaped body, which allows it to better sweep debris into corners. This is perhaps the only design difference between the two robot vacuum cleaners. The Mijia Self-Cleaning Robot Vacuum-Mop Pro is controlled via the same Mi Home mobile app, but the Dreame is available in a global version, while the Xiaomi is currently designed for the Chinese market. This may cause minor issues with the app, which runs on Chinese servers. However, these are not serious issues. However, the robot's price is more attractive—under $650. Saving money without sacrificing cleaning performance may be worth it for many buyers.
Xbot L7 Smart
Another new product, the Xbot L7 Smart, has made it into the TOP-10 robot vacuum cleaners of 2022.
The robot vacuum cleaner boasts lidar navigation, a self-cleaning station for the dust bin, a dual-mopping function, and control via both the proprietary mobile app and the remote control. Additional features include a floor polishing mode, increased suction power, and support for voice assistants, including Yandex.Alice. The cleaning module features a side and central brush. A combined water and dust container with a microfiber cloth attached is located behind the turbo brush. The mobile app allows for flexible cleaning settings tailored to each room. Importantly, the Xbot L7 Smart comes with a full warranty and after-sales service from the manufacturer, and the robot vacuum cleaner itself is well-equipped. The launch price is expected to be around $600-650. Considering the functionality, navigation, self-cleaning station, and brand support, this is quite an attractive proposition.
Dreame Bot Z10 Pro
Another interesting self-cleaning robot vacuum cleaner, which deservedly made it into the ranking of the best robot vacuum cleaners of 2022 – Dreame Bot Z10 Pro.
Unlike the W10, which sits above it, this robot specializes more in dry cleaning. It features a powerful motor and a self-cleaning dust bin. Navigation is handled by a lidar system and a bumper-mounted sensor system that detects objects on the floor, allowing the robot to navigate with extreme precision across the entire accessible area. Dirt is collected by a side and center brush. A microfiber cloth is located behind the turbo brush and attaches to a clip-on nozzle with a water tank.
The Dreame Bot Z10 Pro can simultaneously vacuum and mop. While its wet cleaning performance is inferior to that of other robots in this review, the system is still perfectly suitable for delicate wet cleaning and everyday dust collection. This robot vacuum demonstrated excellent dry cleaning performance on both hard floors and carpets. The mobile app features allow for convenient customization of cleaning parameters. Priced between $460 and $500, the Dreame Bot Z10 Pro is a very attractive option.
Cecotec Conga 7090 AI
If, when choosing a robot vacuum cleaner, you are not interested in such an option as a self-cleaning station or rinsing wipes, while good quality dry and wet cleaning, as well as high reliability of the robot itself are more important, I recommend paying attention to Cecotec Conga 7090 AI.
After reviewing this robot vacuum, I was left with a mostly positive impression, though some questions remained. Nevertheless, the device boasts excellent navigation, accurate floor recognition, increased suction power, and a mopping mode.
The Cecotec Conga 7090 AI can simultaneously vacuum and mop. It comes with three different center brushes, allowing you to choose the optimal option for your specific needs and flooring type. In addition to the center brush, a single side brush collects debris. The robot vacuum is controlled via a proprietary mobile app and remote control. It offers a wide range of features, including flexible cleaning settings for each room. An additional benefit is the warranty and comprehensive after-sales service provided by authorized dealers. Price: approximately $700.
Midea S8+
Rounding out the ranking of the best robot vacuum cleaners in 2022 is the new Midea S8+. This robot is an updated version of the popular Midea M7 Pro, but the new model now has a self-cleaning station. Otherwise, the robots are identical.
In addition to the dust discharge station, the Midea S8+ is equipped with lidar navigation, a very powerful motor, and both dry and wet cleaning functions. The water tank platform, where the cleaning cloth is attached, vibrates during cleaning, increasing the effectiveness of dirt removal.
The robot vacuum cleaner is controlled via a proprietary mobile app. It offers all the useful features for automatically maintaining cleanliness in your home and flexible cleaning settings. It offers excellent dry and wet cleaning performance, and thanks to its high power, two side brushes, and a central brush, it can thoroughly clean carpets. The build quality is above average, and most importantly, the price is very attractive considering the features included. On AliExpress, the Midea S8+ costs under $500, which is a great deal!
Video version of the rating:
So, we've reviewed the best robot vacuum cleaners of 2022! As you can see, each year sees the emergence of increasingly more functional and autonomous robots capable of automatically cleaning large areas with minimal human intervention. I hope this top 10 list helped you find the best option for your needs and budget. If you have any questions, please ask them in the comments. Happy shopping. Bye!

The Xbot L7 Smart description states that "The cleaning module consists of two side and a central brush," but the image of this model only shows one side brush.
Thanks, fixed it, typo!
The Viomi S9 didn't make the cut, even though I thought it was superior in class and overall cleaning quality to the Dreame Z10 Pro. I wonder why it was overlooked...
I'll add that I just returned the Viomi S9 yesterday. I was really pleased with the quality and especially the cleaning speed, but for some unknown reason, it wouldn't move out of the bathtub (the old Roborock S5 easily did). So, I returned it and ordered the Z10 Pro. We'll see how the quality compares to the Viomi.
So, it turns out that there is no robot yet that would be like Roidmi EVA, with spinning brushes, but could lift them up, for cleaning carpets?
Yes, unfortunately, we haven't come up with something like that yet.
Thanks for the answer.
It's a pity that there are no such robots yet.
It turns out Xiaomi has already released exactly this) XIAOMI Mijia Omni
And my question remained unanswered... It's a pity
There wasn't really a question. Why did you ignore it? The answer is here: https://robovac.washerhouse.com/en/sravnenie/robovac-sravnenie-kachestva-sborki-robotov-pylesosov-xiaomi.html
Thanks for your reply. I read your article, it was informative.
A very strange point that wasn't mentioned in the assembly article is that Viomi has a very poorly designed water tank and dust collector. This is a huge drawback, as the water supply mechanism is also located on the tank, making it impossible to wash. This is also mentioned in the instructions. This is a major technical flaw on Viomi's part, which you somehow didn't touch on in the article.
Overall, having used both vacuum cleaners, I can say that I don’t regret that I now have the Dreame Z10 and not the Viomi S9.
However, here are some of the advantages of viomi:
1. It's much, much quieter in all modes (yes, it has lower power, but I think in this case it's more about sound insulation)
2. Despite the lower power on paper, it subjectively cleaned the carpet better.
3. It's a matter of taste, but it looks better, especially the base with LED indication.
4. And most importantly, it cleans 1.5 times faster than the Dreame. However, as I mentioned above, I still like its cleaning performance a little better.
This is the strangest comment of all the reviews. You start by criticizing the Viomi S9 for its design flaws, then you say you don't regret getting the Dreame Z10 instead of the Viomi S9, and then you end your comment by listing the Viomi S9's advantages over the Dreame Z10 in many ways. Ultimately, no reader will be able to decide which is better: the Dreame Z10 or the Viomi S9.
Could you tell me how the Roidmi EVA rags dry? Naturally or with forced ventilation (i.e., a fan)? As I understand it, the latter option is better than natural drying. Thank you.
Interesting review, thank you!
I'm currently eyeing the Dreame L10 Pro (19,000), but the Xiaomi Mijia Self-Cleaning Robot Vacuum-Mop Pro, which is now only 28,000, also looks very attractive.
I don't like carpets, I hardly have any at home, only a thin rug in the hallway, so I don't have any worries in this regard, but I am worried about the reliability of the new model, after all, the Dreame L10 is a proven model.
And there are questions about the warranty)
I hope for your advice)
I read it. Choosing a vacuum cleaner is a problem….
There is a task to clean a 2-story house.
2 dogs! Hair is the main thing in cleaning this house.
About 100 m of cleaning on each floor, tile and laminate flooring
Carpeting - a small short-pile rug in the children's room.
The wool is annoying, and the sand and other things from the area are disturbing.
The main type of cleaning is dry, but I don’t want to give up wet cleaning either.
Please advise.
Roborock Q7 Max will suit your needs, or Q7 Max+ (with a station).
Hello! After watching a ton of video reviews, I'm completely lost. Please recommend a wet cleaning robot with a rag rinsing system. I'm looking for one for my elderly parents. We don't have any pets or carpets, and our home is 70 square meters. I think the Roidmi EVA is suitable, but I might be missing something.
I'm thinking of getting a Xiaomi Robot Vacuum-Mop 2 Pro for a 35 sq.m. area without rugs or pets, but I saw Tefal and others on your site and now I'm thinking about it.
Help me, please)))
Dreame Bot W10 would be a good option)
Marina's situation is exactly the same. The living area is 45 square meters, there are no carpets (tiles, laminate). Why Dreame Bot W10 and not EVA?
Good afternoon, I'm following the reviews, they're very interesting.
Can you tell me which other vacuum cleaners support Alice? Besides the Xbot L7 Smart?
Roborock, Hobot, Dreame.
Thank you so much for your reviews! They're fantastic! I was planning on buying a robot vacuum cleaner with wet cleaning. After reviewing your ratings, I chose the Gutrend Vision 730. When I ordered it, it turned out to be out of stock, and I don't know when it will be back. Could you please recommend something similar, preferably in the same price range and with the following features: dual dust and wet cleaning, good suction power, a long-lasting battery, allergy-friendly filters, good cleaning performance (dry and wet), reliability, readily available consumables, and a user-friendly mobile app. Thanks in advance for your advice.
Hello! Hobot LEGEE-D7)
Hello! Need help choosing a robot vacuum cleaner? I have a 100 sq. m. cleaning area. The flooring is textured laminate and some tile. The area has a complex layout. Please recommend a high-quality vacuum cleaner for both dry (priority) and wet cleaning. Thank you in advance for your reply.
What's your budget? You could go with the Roborock Q7 Max+, the Hobot Legee D7, or even the 360 S10 or Dreame Bot Z10 Pro.
Hello!
Thank you very much for your reviews!
Please recommend a robot for under 30,000 rubles for a 60-square-meter apartment. Its main purpose is to efficiently collect small, coarse dog hair, long hair, crumbs, and dust. I also have a small child at home. I'd like the robot to do a truly effective job of both dry and wet cleaning. It should be easy to use, work remotely, and quiet.
I would be very grateful for your help!
Hello! Roborock Q7 Max+.
already 39 thousand rubles
Thank you very much! Budget isn't important. I want a good, high-quality robot. And most importantly, one that can recognize stairs.
Thank you so much for the review; it's very detailed and helpful. However, while we were researching, we found a relatively new, budget-friendly robot vacuum model that, unfortunately, wasn't on the list. The Midea VCR03W has good features for its low price. It has a remote control, finds its station easily, and doesn't fumble around.
Good evening! Could you please recommend a robotic vacuum cleaner with wet mopping for my retired parents? We live in a 100 sq m apartment. We don't have any pets, but we have granddaughters with long hair. The carpets and rugs are 50% low-pile. We'd like to make cleaning the house as easy as possible for them. The price is between 40,000 and 45,000 rubles.
Mijia OMNI B101CN) or Hobot Legee D7.
Hello!
Thank you very much for your reviews!
Please help me choose a robot vacuum cleaner.
Initial data: a 64 sq. m apartment, two cats, from which hair is all over the apartment and who can sometimes leave surprises on the floor - "vomiters")
There is a child who throws his toys around, including small ones
My wife can't handle the Dyson anymore. I urgently need a robot assistant!
Dry cleaning is a priority.
Budget: I'm hoping to snag a decent model for $400 during the November sales.
Buy Mijia OMNI B101CN and you will be very satisfied (slightly more expensive, 43k).
Good afternoon.
What to choose:?
Hobot Legee D7
Ecovacs DEEBOT OZMO T9 AIVI+
Xiaomi Mijia Self-Cleaning Robot Vacuum-Mop Pro
Cost from 28 to 34 thousand.
The tasks are the same as everyone else's, an apartment of 80 m2.
Please advise.
If you have carpets, go with Liga; if not, go with Xiaomi or Ecowax. I prefer Ecowax.
Good afternoon, great review. Could anyone recommend a good vacuum cleaner for dry cleaning only? I currently have a Mili vacuum, but the non-functional app is really annoying. It cleans corners several times. I'd like something high-quality and with working software.
I like the Ecovacs DEEBOT OZMO T9 AIVI+, but the software was a bit buggy when I tested it. The Hobot Legee D7 is also interesting, as is the iRobot line. The Dreame line also has many powerful robots, such as the D9 Pro and L10 Pro.
Hello! Based on your reviews, I was considering the Hobot Legee D7, but I found many comments stating that it requires a lot of space to install the charging pad (approximately 1.5 m²), which is difficult to achieve in a standard apartment. Could you please tell me if this is a problem specific to this model or with most robots?
I haven't observed this problem. This is more of a recommendation.
Hello, thanks for the article, it's very interesting. Maybe you can recommend one? I'm looking for a robot; the market is overwhelming. I'd like a vacuum cleaner with the following features:
Dry and wet cleaning, self-cleaning docking station after dry and wet cleaning, Russian-language app, voice control, video camera, affordable.
Dreame Bot L10s Ultra is the cheapest.
Hello, great article. I'm still choosing a robot vacuum and I'm completely confused. Could you please tell me, if my 60 sq. m apartment is 85% carpeted (mostly fine-pile, but one in the living room has a 2-3 cm pile), which machine should I choose? I'm leaning more toward the Roborock S7 Maxx, but I'm worried it will always run at maximum speed. Could you please advise? Thanks in advance.
Better than the Ecovacs T9 AIVI. Better brushes and just as powerful.
Hello! The variety of models and models on the market is overwhelming. Please advise. We have an 80 sq. m apartment with no carpets and small children, so toys are often scattered around. We'd like a good dry vacuum and a decent wet vacuum. The bed and sofa are 10 cm off the floor, so I'd like a mop that can be moved around. I'm considering the Dreame L10S Pro, Hobot LEGEE-D, Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop 2 Pro, Dreame Bot Robot Vacuum, and Mop D9 Max.
Dreame L10S Pro
Hello. I need help choosing a robotic vacuum cleaner. It covers 250 square meters, offers dry and wet cleaning, a self-cleaning station, and a mop pad. My house has laminate flooring and carpets. Our budget is up to $1,000.
Xiaomi Mijia OMNI B101CN/1S
Hello! I had a 360 robot vacuum c50, I really liked it, I didn't even use the app. After a year, it stopped charging. Which budget one would you recommend? 30 sq m, no rugs or pets, wet cleaning isn't a priority, and I need it to work without WiFi.
Thank you in advance!
The article is brilliant.
I live in Southeast Asia and the selection of floor polishers is small here.
I chose the Xiaomi Mijia Self-Cleaning Robot Vacuum-Mop Pro. I'm happy with it.
But, the main question.
I have a large house with 2 floors and no carpets.
Accordingly, I will be lifting the floor polishing system to the 2nd floor every time, and this model can only remember 1 map.
And each time on the 2nd floor, the floor polisher will look for a charge/cleaning system, which is on the 1st floor, and it will be necessary to scan each floor each time the floor polisher is moved?
Right?
Accordingly, this model does not suit me.
