Polaris PVCSDC 3000 Wi-Fi IQ Home: self-cleaning, 280 watts, full set of attachments, including a washing one!

Hello to all readers of this project! This review will focus on the Polaris PVCSDC 3000 Wi-Fi IQ Home cordless upright vacuum cleaner. The average price of this device is $400. For this price, it boasts a powerful 800-watt motor, a full set of dry cleaning attachments, an additional wet cleaning attachment, and a self-emptying dust bin station. The vacuum also connects to the app via Wi-Fi, as indicated by the Wi-Fi IQ Home attachment. Below, I'll thoroughly test the vacuum, highlight its pros and cons based on the test results, and then express my opinion. So, let's get started!
Equipment
Let's start with the package contents. The vacuum cleaner arrived in this branded box:
The package includes:
- Self-cleaning, charging and accessory storage station.
- Main block.
- Folding extension tube.
- Basic floor nozzle.
- Polishing attachment.
- Nozzle with turbo brush for cleaning upholstered furniture.
- Attachment for combing pets.
- Extended crevice tool.
- Attachment with sliding bristles.
- Another crevice tool with retractable bristles.
- Flexible connecting hose.
- Three spare bags for the station.
- Branded envelope with documentation in Russian.
- Vacuum cleaner cleaning brush.
- Bag for storing accessories.
The kit is very well-equipped, with all the necessary accessories for a full-fledged vacuum cleaning. Let's move on!
Appearance
Now let's take a look at how the vacuum cleaner works. It comes in two colors: white and gray. Mine came in white.
Inside the main unit there is an 800-watt motor, which develops a suction force of up to 280 AW.
The battery has a connector for connecting a manual charger, should you want to purchase another one and charge them separately. The battery itself is removable, which is a plus! It has terminals for charging at the charging station when installed in the mounting location.
The vacuum cleaner is turned on and off by pressing the trigger button. A display with a mechanical mode selector is located on the top. There are four modes: automatic, minimum, medium, and maximum. In automatic mode, the vacuum cleaner automatically adjusts suction power depending on how dirty the floor is.
The dust container can be emptied manually using a mechanism that clears debris from the mesh filter and opens the bottom of the container to allow the contents to fall out. Convenient. If necessary, the container can be completely removed from the main unit for maintenance. The interior features a filtration system consisting of a mesh, a HEPA filter, a foam filter, and 12 cyclones.
Let's look at the attachments included in the kit.
The main floor nozzle has a swivel joint. There's no vertical parking feature. The front of the nozzle has LED lighting to highlight the cleaning area. We can see that there are blind spots on the sides of the brush. I hope this won't impact the cleaning performance along walls and in corners.
The roller is removable from the side. It's a versatile design, equipped with short V-shaped inserts that have proven effective at picking up debris on both hard surfaces and carpets. There are no detangling combs behind the roller.
The wet cleaning nozzle also features a swivel joint, but this one also features a vertical parking slot, making it convenient for temporarily placing the vacuum cleaner down while cleaning. The water tank is mounted on top. Also visible on top is a button for automatically turning on the water supply. A suction hole is located between the round rotating pads for collecting light debris from the floor. The pads are quite thick and are attached to the holders with Velcro. Interestingly, the holders are slightly spring-loaded.
The upholstery cleaning attachment is equipped with a bristle-and-petal brush, held in place by a side clip. Behind the brush is an ultraviolet lamp for disinfecting surfaces. It is activated when the rollers touch the surface.
I liked the extended crevice tool. It's not a standard design. Firstly, it's flexible, allowing you to get into hard-to-reach places. Secondly, it has a front light, which can also be useful.
A nozzle with sliding bristles and an additional crevice nozzle of a standard design.
The pet grooming brush is worth a look. It features a comb and a hair remover, which is activated by a mechanical button.
Now, let's show you how the station is designed. It can store two additional attachments underneath. It's a shame there's no storage for all the accessories, which would be convenient.
A 3-liter bag is located under the lid on the side of the station, into which waste is emptied during the self-cleaning dust collector. Underneath is a fabric filter and a HEPA filter. The station's filtration system is also impressive!
The top features a mounting area, a light indicating the station's status, and a mechanical button for manually starting the self-cleaning function. By default, the vacuum cleaner self-cleans every time it's placed on the station. However, if this isn't enough, self-cleaning can be activated manually.
The pros and cons of this design will be discussed during the final review. Let's move on!
Application functions
A few words about controlling the vacuum via the mobile app. Connect to the vacuum via Wi-Fi, and a menu opens with several additional options.
You can view your cleaning history, learn the manufacturer's operating tips, monitor the HEPA filter for timely replacement, and, although it's not entirely clear why, manually adjust the power level. Perhaps this will be useful for someone!
Technical specifications
The main characteristics of the vacuum cleaner, as declared by the manufacturer:
- Power consumption: 800 W.
- Suction power up to 280 AW.
- Li-Ion battery 3950 mAh.
- Operating time up to 85 min.
- Dust collector capacity: 450 ml.
- Bag in the station: 3 liters.
- Noise level: 75.5-78 dB.
- Weight of the fully assembled vacuum cleaner: 3.6 kg.
The exceptionally strong suction power and capacious battery are notable here. The noise level, which I personally tested, is between 75.5 and 78 dB, which is within the normal range, especially considering its power. The station's noise level reaches 85.5 dB, which is considered excessive.
The main unit weighs 2017 grams, the extension tube weighs 458 grams, and the main floor nozzle weighs 1135 grams. The fully assembled vacuum weighs 3610 grams. It's worth noting that it's heavier than similar models. In fact, the nozzles and main unit are quite bulky.
Testing
A detailed video review of the Polaris PVCSDC 3000 Wi-Fi IQ Home, including all tests, has already been prepared and published on the channel:
Opening hours
And finally, let's move on to the tests. First, let's check the battery life in Turbo mode with the main floor nozzle attached. It managed to run for 18 minutes and 26 seconds, which is a very good result for a cordless upright vacuum!
Suction power
As for suction power, in Eco mode, the vacuum easily cleaned crevices up to 10 and even 16 mm deep. It partially reached the 18 and 20 mm marks. On medium power, it successfully cleaned 20 and 25 mm crevices. And on maximum power, it cleaned a 35 mm crevice well. So, in reality, this vacuum cleaner has increased power, and even on medium power, it is capable of effectively picking up debris.
Collecting debris on laminate flooring
Now let's test how well it picks up floor debris. I scattered various types of debris on the laminate flooring: hair, fur, grains, and other small household debris. This machine did a good job. There are no blind spots in the corners, so my concerns about the roller not reaching the edge of the unit were unfounded, which is good!
A little hair got caught on the roller, but it's not a big deal. This requires further testing.
Anti-tangle Hair Protection
I also tested how the attachment detangled the roller. I spread hair of varying lengths on the floor and vacuumed it up. We see that the roller had tangled up some hair again, meaning there's no tangle protection.
Carpet cleaning
When it comes to dust collection on carpets, the vacuum cleaner cleans both low- and medium-pile carpets extremely well. It also passed that test!
Removing stains
I also tested the effectiveness of the floor polisher attachment. It even removed stubborn stains like dried-on coffee and sauce. It took less than two minutes. By comparison, specialized upright vacuum cleaners complete the same task in an average of five minutes.
Of course, washing machines are much more effective in this regard, as they self-clean during use and don't leave streaks. With this floor-scrubbing attachment, the pads become clogged with dirt and rub it across the floor. You'll need to remove them, wash them, and then replace them several times during cleaning.
However, if the floor isn't "neglected," I think that with regular cleaning, washing these wipes a couple of times per cleaning session will be sufficient. I think for some, this solution is still optimal and more convenient than using dedicated wet/dry vacuum cleaners.
Using additional attachments
It's also worth noting that the included attachments allow you to clean a sofa, reach areas where the main nozzle can't reach, and use the flexible crevice tool. You can even clean inside a car if necessary. The flexible connecting tube allows you to clean even under low furniture. Overall, this vacuum cleaner is suitable for a variety of applications.
The pet brush attachment deserves special attention. You can see that the hair is collected on the brush. Then, press the button on the back, and all the hair is removed, immediately falling into the suction hole. A great solution and very convenient for pet owners!
Self-cleaning
Finally, we'll test the station's self-cleaning function. After all the tests, we see that the dust bin is full of various types of debris and hair. We place the main unit on the station, and self-cleaning starts automatically. The dust bin is almost perfectly clean after self-cleaning. Unfortunately, the station failed to clean the dust bin completely, even after repeated runs, as the hair got stuck inside. However, if the dust bin is half full, the station will also self-clean effectively, so just don't let it fill completely, which probably won't happen in a single cleaning.
In any case, if necessary, you can manually clean the dust collector by first cleaning all the debris from the mesh manually using a special mechanism, and, if necessary, completely shaking everything out of the flask after removing the filtration system.
Personal opinion
The Polaris PVCSDC 3000 Wi-Fi IQ Home upright vacuum cleaner was thoroughly reviewed and tested. Based on my experience with it and testing it, I can highlight the following pros and cons.
I liked the following:
- In reality, the suction power is very high, both in figures and according to test results.
- Long operating time at maximum power, which is an important parameter in cordless vacuum cleaners.
- Self-cleaning function of the dust collector at the station.
- High-quality waste collection on any surface.
- Illumination of the cleaning area.
- The included mop attachment allows for wet cleaning, even removing stubborn stains.
- Informative display on the body.
- Automatic suction power increase mode.
- Removable battery.
- Removable dust collector. Easy to keep the flask clean.
- Convenient manual emptying of the dust container using the mesh scraper mechanism.
- A good selection of additional attachments. It includes all the accessories needed for cordless vacuuming.
- The extended flexible crevice tool with light deserves special attention. It's rare to find such a design, and it's truly handy for cleaning hard-to-reach areas.
- The animal grooming brush is convenient and useful for pet owners.
- The mattress and furniture cleaning attachment is equipped with a UV lamp for surface disinfection. Still, it's an advantage over similar devices.
- The bendable elbow on the extension tube makes it easier to vacuum under low furniture.
- The vacuum cleaner connects to an app where you can view all instructions, check the status of the HEPA filter, and access additional information.
- Good filtration system of both the vacuum cleaner and the station.
- Availability of warranty and service.
Among the disadvantages I would highlight:
- The vacuum cleaner is heavier than its analogues.
- The system for protecting the main turbo brush from getting tangled in hair and fur was not implemented.
- The station doesn't have storage for all the included attachments. The included bag is certainly appreciated, but I'd like to see convenient storage latches on the station.
- The noise level of the station during self-cleaning is above average.
- There is no vertical parking in the main dust collector nozzle, so that you can park the vacuum cleaner and do other things while cleaning.
Ultimately, in my opinion, the vacuum cleaner's advantages far outweigh the criticisms, which are common to all the vacuums I've reviewed. The Polaris PVCSDC 3000 Wi-Fi IQ Home is a powerful, autonomous, efficient, and well-equipped upright vacuum cleaner that's also self-cleaning and suitable for comprehensive dry and even wet cleaning around the home. It'll definitely appeal to pet owners, as well as allergy sufferers who need to minimize their exposure to debris.
That's all from me. If you have any questions, please ask them in the comments. Happy shopping, everyone. Bye!
