Appearance

Let's take a look at the Polaris PVCS 7090 HandStickPRO Aqua. Let's start with the main unit. The vacuum cleaner is turned on and off by pressing the trigger. There's no need to hold it down. A mechanical button on the end adjusts the suction power, with three power levels.

A blow-out HEPA filter is located under the lid on top. The bottom of the dust container opens for emptying. The flask can also be completely removed with the press of a button.

I find it easier to empty the dust container this way. It has a cyclone filter and a mesh filter inside, making it a triple filtration system.

The main floor brush is equipped with a fluffy roller. It's best suited for cleaning hard floors. A large suction hole is located behind the roller. By releasing the locking mechanism, the roller can be removed for cleaning.

So, here's how the wet cleaning module works. On top is a button that activates the liquid supply to the cleaning pad. The pad consists of two parts. One receives water from the reservoir, while the other is used to collect residual liquid from the floor. The wet cleaning module is connected to the main nozzle via a latch.

Regarding the vacuum cleaner's assembly, the extension tube and main nozzle are equipped with mechanical locks. They operate smoothly. Here's what the vacuum cleaner looks like when assembled:

Technical specifications

The main characteristics of the Polaris PVCS 7090 HandStickPRO Aqua, as stated by the manufacturer:

  • Power consumption 450 W.
  • Suction power up to 160 aW.
  • Li-Ion battery 2500 mAh.
  • Dust collector 600 ml.
  • Water tank 300 ml.
  • Water tank 390 ml.
  • Operating time up to 60 min.
  • Noise level 74-82.2 dB.
  • Weight when fully assembled: 2.6 kg.

I personally measured the noise level with a sound level meter. At minimum power, it ranged from 74-75 dB, rising to 76-77 dB at medium power, and peaking at 82.2 dB in Turbo mode. This vacuum's noise level is comparable to other powerful models, but it's important to verify the power of this particular upright vacuum.

As for weight, I also measured it myself. The main unit weighs 1,506 grams, the extension tube 361 grams, and the main floor nozzle 737 grams. The total weight of the fully assembled vacuum cleaner is 2,604 grams, which is standard.

Testing

And finally, let's move on to the tests. First, let's check the vacuum's runtime at maximum power. It managed to run for exactly 10 minutes in Turbo mode. It's not the best compared to similar devices, but it's not the worst either. Let's say the result is closer to average.

Suction power

The suction power was impressive. Even at medium power, the Polaris PVCS 7090 HandStickPRO Aqua was able to partially suck up debris from a 10mm gap. At maximum power, it thoroughly cleaned the entire bench. I think medium power will be sufficient for household cleaning, which will extend the battery life.

Garbage collection

The quality of debris collection on laminate floors was also impressive. This cordless vacuum cleaner can pick up a variety of debris while thoroughly cleaning along baseboards and in corners. The lint roller doesn't pick up any hair or fur. All debris is collected in the dust bin. Test passed!

The same debris was scattered on the carpet, and even with the Polaris PVCS 7090 HandStickPRO Aqua hard floor roller, it cleaned the carpet thoroughly, leaving no debris behind. The debris collection performance is excellent on a variety of flooring types!

As for the wet cleaning module, you can use it to vacuum and mop simultaneously. Since the water flow from the reservoir to the mop is not too large, there's no need to worry about moisture getting into the motor compartment. Just to be safe, it's best not to use the vacuum cleaner in Turbo mode at maximum power.

Using the included attachments, you can clean sofa upholstery, mattresses, shelves, and other furniture, as well as interior items and even car interiors. Fortunately, the range of attachments makes this possible.

Finally, I'll tell you how to clean the dust bin. Press the latch at the bottom, and all the dust will fall out through the bottom. If a lot of dust has accumulated, you can also tap the casing to release it. If a lot of fur and hair has accumulated, it's best to empty the dust by completely removing the bin from the main unit.

Personal opinion

The Polaris PVCS 7090 HandStickPRO Aqua was thoroughly reviewed and tested. I'll share my thoughts on this upright vacuum cleaner after trying it out. I liked the following:

  1. High suction power.
  2. Good quality of waste collection on different surfaces.
  3. Removable battery.
  4. Complete set of attachments.
  5. Folding extension tube.
  6. Availability of a module for wet cleaning.
  7. Availability of warranty and service.

As for the disadvantages, the following comments were made about the vacuum cleaner:

  1. The battery drains quickly in Turbo mode.
  2. There is no replacement roller for cleaning carpets.
  3. Vertical parking outside the holder is not provided.
  4. Simplified design and functionality.

Regarding the last criticism, I'm referring to the lack of an LED display on the body, LED backlighting in the main nozzle, wall-mounted charging, and a trendy feature like automatic power boost when detecting carpets or large debris accumulations. However, for those who don't need all these features and just want a workhorse vacuum cleaner, I see no compelling reason not to recommend this one. It accomplishes its primary purpose, has a comfortable design, and is lightweight.

On that note, I'd like to end this review. If you have any questions, please ask them in the comments. Happy shopping. Bye!
