Polaris PVCS 4060 CyclonicSmart: a powerful, smart, and convenient upright vacuum cleaner

The new Polaris PVCS 4060 CyclonicSmart cordless vacuum cleaner, priced at $270, boasts powerful suction up to 200 AW, an automatic power boost when dirt is detected, and a convenient floor stand for charging and storing accessories. Below, I'll show you how the Polaris PVCS 4060 CyclonicSmart works, give it a thorough test, and then give you my opinion on whether it's worth the money. So, let's get started!
Equipment
The vacuum cleaner arrived in a branded box, which displays its main advantages:
The package includes:
- Removable battery.
- Floor stand.
- Extension tube.
- Basic floor nozzle.
- Power adapter.
- Replacement roller for the main attachment.
- Crevice nozzle.
- Attachment with sliding bristles.
- Operating instructions.
Overall, the kit is standard. The only thing I'm missing is a turbo brush attachment for cleaning upholstery and mattresses.
Appearance
Let's take a look at the Polaris PVCS 4060 CyclonicSmart upright vacuum cleaner. Let's start with the main unit. The control buttons are located on the top of the handle, just under your thumb, and next to them is an informative display. There are four power modes: Eco, Medium, Maximum, and Automatic. In AUTO mode, the vacuum automatically adjusts power based on how dirty your floor is. This helps conserve battery life. The battery itself is removable, which is a plus.
The dust container is easily removed by twisting it. It empties easily with a press of a button on the bottom. The lid opens at the bottom, and all the contents fall out. The dust container contains a four-stage filtration system consisting of a cyclone, mesh, foam, and HEPA filters. There is no removable blow-out filter. Assembly is very simple; the extension tube and main nozzle are equipped with mechanical locks.
Now let's look at the included attachments. The main floor nozzle features a swivel joint and LED lighting at the front. The roller is secured with a tool-free lock, which is a plus. Out of the box, the nozzle comes with a roller with short, flexible bristles. This is better suited for cleaning carpets. The replaceable bristle-petal roller is more versatile, suitable for all floor surfaces, and is also easier to remove hair and pet hair. Also noteworthy are the large rubberized wheels on the main nozzle, which also serve as a means of maneuvering the vacuum cleaner. To do this, tilt the vacuum cleaner forward to lock the floor brush, allowing you to roll the vacuum cleaner instead of carrying it.
Additional attachments included with the standard kit. If needed, you can move the bristles in either attachment.
Well, as mentioned at the beginning of the review, the floor stand serves both as a charging station and as a storage area for the attachments. A very convenient solution. Here's what it looks like:
Overall, there are no complaints about the build quality. The vacuum cleaner is convenient, and a major plus is that it can be operated with one hand.
Technical specifications
Main characteristics of Polaris PVCS 4060 CyclonicSmart:
- Power consumption 600 W.
- Suction power up to 200 aW.
- Li-Ion battery 3000 mAh.
- Dust collector 300 ml.
- Operating time up to 80 min.
- Noise level 77.5-85.5 dB.
- Weight when fully assembled: 2.82 kg.
It's worth noting that the main unit weighs 1,720 grams, the main nozzle weighs 838 grams, and the extension tube weighs 268 grams. In total, the fully assembled vacuum cleaner weighs 2,826 grams. It's slightly heavier than similar models, but not by a significant amount.
I personally tested the noise level. In Eco mode, it's between 74-75 dB, at medium power it's 75.5-76 dB, and in Turbo mode it reaches 76.9 dB. The noise level is quite standard for a powerful upright vacuum cleaner.
Testing
A detailed video review of the Polaris PVCS 4060 CyclonicSmart, including all tests, has already been published on the channel:
Opening hours
Let's move on to the tests. First, let's check the battery life at maximum power. The vacuum cleaner ran for 12 minutes and 15 seconds in Turbo mode, and when the battery dropped to 20%, it automatically dropped to medium power. It ran for another 5 minutes and 50 seconds at medium power. This means the vacuum cleaner has smarter hardware, considering the automatic power mode switching. In total, a full battery charge lasts for 18 minutes of runtime. That's a good result!
Suction power
Regarding suction power, at minimum power, the vacuum cleaner was able to suck up debris from crevices 2 mm and partially 4 mm deep. This is sufficient for cleaning hard floors. At medium power, it managed to suck up debris from crevices up to 10 mm deep, but not very thoroughly. However, at maximum power, it reliably sucked up debris from all crevices. Therefore, at medium and maximum power, the vacuum cleaner can be used for cleaning carpets and upholstery.
Collecting debris on laminate flooring
Now let's test how well the Polaris PVCS 4060 CyclonicSmart picks up floor debris. I scattered various types of debris on the laminate flooring: hair, fur, grains, and other small household debris. This machine performed well. It's important to note that it has no trouble picking up debris along baseboards or in corners. It picks everything up thoroughly, with no blind spots. The roller barely picks up any hair or lint. Test passed!
Carpet cleaning
The same debris was scattered on the carpet, and the vacuum cleaner did an equally good job, thoroughly cleaning the carpet. At maximum power, it sucked so hard onto the carpet that it was uncomfortable to use, so I switched to medium power, which was also more than sufficient.
Using additional attachments
It's also worth noting that the included attachments allow you to clean your sofa, vacuum upholstered ceilings, and even clean your car's interior. Overall, this vacuum cleaner is suitable for a variety of applications.
Cleaning the dust collector
Finally, I'll tell you how to clean the dust bin. Press the button, and all the debris falls out through the bottom. Hair and fur can get stuck in the bin. In this case, you can remove the bin completely, remove the filtration system, and empty the contents into the trash can. Very convenient!
Personal opinion
The Polaris PVCS 4060 CyclonicSmart cordless vacuum cleaner was thoroughly reviewed and tested. I'll share my opinion based on my experience with it. I liked the following:
- Really high suction power.
- Convenient one-hand control.
- Suitable for collecting waste on various surfaces.
- Removable battery.
- Automatic power increase function when contamination is detected.
- Long working time.
- Convenient floor stand for charging and storing the vacuum cleaner.
- Easy maintenance of the dust collector.
- Availability of a full warranty and service.
Speaking of comments, I didn't like the following:
- There is no turbo brush attachment for cleaning furniture.
- Vertical parking is not provided.
Overall, if the above-mentioned drawbacks aren't a deal-breaker, you might want to consider this vacuum cleaner. I haven't found any criticisms, so I see no reason not to recommend it. Especially if the price drops another 10-15%.
I'd like to end this review on that note. If you have any questions, please ask them in the comments below the video. Happy shopping, everyone. Bye!
