Dreame Bot D10s: Lidar, Silicone Brush, Increased Power

The new D10s line was announced at the end of 2022 and consists of three models: the Dreame Bot D10s, D10s Pro, and D10s Plus. The smallest of these models was just sent in for review. Priced at around $400, this robot vacuum boasts lidar for navigation, an updated silicone turbo brush that's easier to clean from hair and pet hair, and increased suction power to 5000 Pa. The Dreame Bot D10s will be thoroughly tested, after which I'll express my opinion on whether it's worth buying and when it's the best choice. So, let's get started!
Equipment
The robot vacuum cleaner arrived in a branded box like this:
The package includes:
- Charging base.
- Power adapter.
- Nozzle for wet cleaning.
- Operating instructions.
The set is minimal, spare accessories are not provided.
Appearance
Now let's take a look at the Dreame Bot D10s's design. It's white and has a round body. The mechanical bumper at the front has a large obstacle detection sensor. Surprisingly, there's no side wall sensor.
The control panel features two mechanical buttons. A lidar sensor is used for navigation. It is equipped with a spring-loaded cover to prevent it from getting stuck under furniture. The dust container is located under the top cover, with a cleaning tool conveniently stored nearby. The container and HEPA filter are washable with water. The container holds up to 570 ml of dry waste. The filtration system consists of a mesh filter and a HEPA filter.
The robot has four fall protection sensors installed on the bottom. The carpet detection sensor has been removed from this model.
The side brush is single, three-beam, and quick-release. The central brush unit is floating. The turbo brush itself is silicone and can be removed from both sides for cleaning hair and pet hair.
The standard wet cleaning nozzle holds up to 235 ml of water. It features a pump for electronically controlling the amount of liquid delivered to the cleaning pad. Surprisingly, the cleaning pad is attached to the nozzle using pockets. The traditional slot, which was much more convenient, has been removed. A strange decision.
Overall, the design of the Dreame Bot D10s is quite standard, I didn’t see anything new, except for the silicone brush, which is also installed in previously released ones. Dreame Bot L10s Pro and Ultra.

The only thing worth highlighting here is the increased suction power, which will be verified in tests. Otherwise, the specifications are quite standard.
Functional capabilities
Speaking of features, the Dreame Bot D10s is controlled via the Dreamehome app, which I didn't find in the list of supported Mi Home devices. I managed to connect on the second try; for some reason, an error occurred the first time. In any case, connection is simple. Follow the manufacturer's instructions, which are in Russian.
The main functions of Dreame Bot D10s are displayed on the screen:
- Saving multiple cleaning maps in memory.
- Automatic zoning of premises into rooms.

Testing
A detailed video review of the Dreame Bot D10s, including all tests, has already been prepared and published on the channel:
Navigation
And finally, let's move on to the tests. First, we'll test the Dreame Bot D10s's navigation in a room with obstacles. The robot vacuum first moves around the perimeter of the room, then cleans the entire accessible area in a serpentine motion. The dryer's legs presented no particular problems. It also swept around the box and chair legs separately, then returned to the station. Its contact with the chair legs wasn't particularly gentle, partly due to the lack of a wall sensor. Regardless, the test was a success.
Speaking of navigating around the house, the Dreame Bot D10s cleans room by room, first along the perimeter, then in a serpentine pattern. There are no uncleaned areas, the cleaning speed is high, and this model has excellent navigation!
Suction power
In terms of suction power, the Dreame Bot D10s was able to suck out debris from 2mm and 4mm deep crevices, just like its predecessors. Dreame Bot L10s Ultra and Pro. He even managed to SLIGHTLY suck out some of the debris from the 6mm, but then he used the brush to push the debris back into the gap.
So, in fact, the suction power is the same as its predecessors: increased, but not very high, compared to similar products. For example, Dreame Bot L10 Pro We managed to suck out debris from a 10 mm gap without any problems, and this is already an excellent result.
Dry cleaning
The collection performance of various types of debris on laminate flooring is good. Only a little debris remains in the corners, where round robotic vacuums can't sweep. We can see some debris wrapped around the brushes. However, they are very easy to clean, which is the main advantage of the silicone brush. Most of the debris is collected in the dust bin. Test passed!
Carpet cleaning
Speaking of carpet cleaning, the silicone brush is less effective on medium-pile carpets than a regular bristle brush. However, after the test, the carpet was clean, with only a few clumps of hair stuck in the pile. I think the robot vacuum did a good job!
Wet cleaning
Light dirt removal isn't exactly the Dreame Bot D10s' strong suit. The cleaning cloth holder exerts little pressure on the floor, and the water flow at maximum level isn't very generous. As a result, most of the dirt remained on the stand. This result was also demonstrated by other Dreame robot vacuums with a standard straight cleaning cloth. This robot is better suited for gentle damp cleaning and dust collection on floors.
Wet cleaning and carpets
Regarding wet cleaning on carpets, the Dreame Bot D10s doesn't recognize carpets and therefore doesn't automatically avoid them when the cleaning cloth is attached. It's worth noting that the suction power increases when the cleaning cloth is attached. In any case, you can protect carpets from getting wet by setting no-go zones for wet cleaning.
Obstacle clearance
The Dreame Bot D10s easily navigates 2 cm high thresholds. That's a plus!
Driving on black surfaces
However, the robot vacuum cleaner is sensitive to black surfaces, as it can detect them due to height differences. This is not ideal and is important to consider when choosing a model.
Noise level
Finally, we measured the Dreame Bot D10s' noise level in different modes. With suction disabled, it ranged from 57-58.5 dB. At standard power, the noise level increased to 59-60 dB. In "Strong" mode, the noise level rose to 63.5-65 dB, and at maximum power, the peak was 69.2 dB. The noise level was slightly elevated, but not alarming. This is due to the increased power of the robot itself.
Let's sum it up
The Dreame Bot D10s robot vacuum cleaner has been thoroughly reviewed and tested. our evaluation system he managed to gain 119 pointsThe result is quite standard, however the robot still lost out to several of its D-series counterparts, namely Dreame Bot D9 Max And D9 Pro, which actually turned out to be more powerful and structurally slightly better designed.
Overall rating of tested robot vacuum cleaners: https://robovac.washerhouse.com/en/rejtingi/robovac-obshhij-rejting-robotov-pylesosov-robo.html.
First, I'll highlight the pros and cons of the Dreame Bot D10s, then I'll share my personal opinion. I liked the following:
- The updated brush removes hair and fur better.
- Increased suction power.
- The robot vacuum cleaner is capable of vacuuming and mopping the floor at the same time.
- High-quality dry cleaning.
- Control via your own Dreamehome app.
- A large number of functions for flexible adjustment of cleaning parameters.
- Good cross-country ability.
- Yandex.Alice support.
- Complete Russification.
Speaking about the shortcomings, I had the following comments about the robot:
- Average wet cleaning.
- The robot vacuum cleaner is afraid of dark surfaces.
- There is no wall sensor or carpet sensor.
Overall, I had a positive opinion of the robot vacuum cleaner in most respects. It performs its primary function well, and the switch to a dedicated mobile app, something not available on previous models, is certainly a significant advantage. Wet cleaning is poorly implemented on almost all Dreame robots, with the exception of those models equipped with round rotating discs. So this wasn't a surprise to me.
Given the silicone brush and the lack of a cleaning mechanism for carpets, I would recommend this robot vacuum primarily for cleaning hard floors. It's also ideal for those with pets or long hair. In this regard, it's much easier to maintain than D-series models. And if the price were 10-15 percent lower, there would definitely be more interest in this model. So, during the sales, it's definitely worth considering if you're budgeting around $250.
On that note, I'd like to end this review. If you have any questions, please ask them in the comments. Happy shopping. Bye!

It costs about the same now as the L10 Pro. This one has a silicone brush (is it even possible to install one on the L10 Pro?). Which one would you recommend for dry cleaning (I have a long-haired cat)?
I don't have the L10 Pro handy to test. For dry cleaning, the D10s is better if you have a cat (specifically because of the brush).
So, which one is better to buy now, the L10pro or the D10s? The L10pro is even a little cheaper.
The L10 Pro is more interesting, and the complaints keep piling up. I'd still get the D10s, or the Roborock Q7 Max, or the D10s Pro.
Corn Pascals, I'm convinced time and again that there's nothing better than Roborocks yet. The S7 has gotten quite a bit cheaper.
What is the difference between the D line and the L line?
With a silicone brush. Basically, it's just a new name for the line; the old one is being discontinued, and the D-series is being introduced.
Could you please tell me which robot vacuum cleaner accessories (cloth, brush, filter) are compatible with the Dreame Bot D10s? I couldn't find any specifically for the D10s model.
I've been using this one for over a month now. Compared to the iLife, it's like night and day. The parts fit the D9 (they're not that expensive in China). My needle-punched carpet cleans brilliantly on the lowest power setting. It could use a lower tower. It cleans walls reliably without a wall sensor, and it ignores my black rubber mat with spikes. I'm very happy with it. And the battery never drains more than 10%.
