Appearance

Now let's look at the robot vacuum cleaner itself. It's black. On top is a single button for automatic cleaning mode. There's no lidar or camera; the robot navigates using IR sensors, so its movements are random.

Let's sum it up

In conclusion, we will highlight the main advantages and disadvantages of the Polaris PVCR 1026, which we were able to discover during a detailed review.

Advantages:

  1. Low noise level.
  2. The quality of cleaning is above average.
  3. Suction power adjustment.
  4. 2 side brushes.
  5. Bristle-petal central brush.
  6. Availability of warranty and service.
  7. There are spare consumables included in the kit.
  8. Small body height.

As for the disadvantages, considering that the average cost of a robot vacuum cleaner is $160, I would like to highlight the following cons:

  1. There is no precise navigation.
  2. There is no movement limiter included.
  3. Wet cleaning is not provided.
  4. There is no control via mobile app.

In addition, the following comments were identified during operation:

  • The side brushes fit tightly into their seats.
  • The robot didn't always cross thresholds 2 cm high. In reality, the robot can easily cross thresholds up to 1.5 cm high.

Overall, it's a decent value for the money, considering the warranty and service included, and the robot performed well in its primary role. The aforementioned shortcomings left a mixed impression, but for those who don't find these drawbacks and concerns significant, we found no particular obstacles to recommending this robot. The Polaris PVCR 1026 is a fully-fledged mid-range vacuum for dry cleaning small spaces. It can even get under low furniture, such as a bed, cleans well on carpeted floors, and the controls are intuitive and easy to use.

That's all for now! If you have any questions about the robot, please ask them in the comments below. Happy shopping, everyone!

Hello. Could you please tell me if I have laminate flooring and carpet above it, will the vacuum automatically move from the floor to the carpet and back, or do I have to do it manually? Also, do the brushes change depending on the surface being cleaned (laminate, carpet, linoleum)?
