Eufy Robovac 12: Another mid-range vacuum cleaner

In this review, we'll look at the Eufy Robovac 12 robot vacuum cleaner from Anker, designed for dry cleaning of debris, sand, grain, hair, and pet hair. The robot can be used on both smooth surfaces (tile, laminate, linoleum, and wood floors) and low- and medium-pile carpet. This mid-price model (priced between $150 and $200) offers a distinctive set of features and functionality. More details below.

The Eufy Robovac 12 robot comes in a branded white cardboard box, which is further packaged in an outer shipping container. The box features an image of the device and its key specifications. A handle is included for easy carrying and transportation.

Appearance
The robot vacuum cleaner's body is shaped like a puck. It's made primarily of black plastic, but a review of the Eufy Robovac 12 also reveals a scratch-resistant tempered glass panel on the front. Regarding the quality of the plastic, there are no complaints: the material is strong and durable, with no odor. There are no visible molding or assembly defects.
The Eufy Robovac 12 robot has compact dimensions of just 33 x 33 x 7.2 centimeters. The front panel features a single auto-start button with an indicator light that displays the robot's current status.
Overview of the decoding of the operating indication:
- orange (flashing) – low battery, charging on base;
- orange (on) – charging complete;
- red (flashing) – an error has occurred;
- blue (on) – cleaning process.
The Eufy Robovac 12 robot vacuum features a protective bumper on the front, and a blue button allows you to remove the dust bin for emptying. The dust bin is a 600-milliliter cyclone-type container equipped with three filters: a mesh, a foam filter, and a HEPA filter.
When viewing the robot from the back, we see two drive wheels, one swivel roller, charging contacts, a battery compartment, a power button, two side brushes, a dust collection compartment, and a turbo brush almost in the center.
The wheels have a strong and powerful tread, so the device does not slip anywhere and easily overcomes obstacles up to 20 millimeters high.

Let's move on to a review of the functionality of the Eufy Robovac 12 model.
Functional capabilities
The robot vacuum cleaner is equipped with infrared sensors that protect against collisions with surrounding obstacles, as well as optical height sensors to prevent falls from stairs and other elevated surfaces.
The Eufy Robovac 12 cleans with two side brushes and a central turbo brush for greater efficiency, particularly on carpets. Collected debris is directed into the dust bin through a small suction port. The device uses a brushless motor, delivering suction power of up to 1500 Pa—a relatively high figure for an inexpensive device.
Operating modes of the Eufy Robovac 12 robot vacuum cleaner:
- auto;
- local (spiral);
- around the perimeter (cleaning along the walls and in the corners);
- cleaning one room.
Additionally, there are three power modes: standard, maximum, and the BoostIQ smart cleaning feature with enhanced suction power. This feature automatically increases suction power when the vacuum cleaner enters carpets, which also increases turbine noise.
When cleaning is complete or the battery level is low, the robot vacuum automatically returns to the charging base to recharge. It is then ready to use again.
The Eufy Robovac 12 can be controlled using a button on the body or a remote control. The remote control is made of matte black plastic and is ergonomically designed to fit comfortably in your hand. It features a display, and the reverse side has an explanation of the button icons. In addition to turning the unit on and setting the desired mode, the remote control can also be used to set a timer and adjust the automatic start time.
