Roborock H6: A Powerful Handheld Vacuum Cleaner from Xiaomi

Greetings to all readers of the site robovac.washerhouse.comWe received the new Roborock H6 handheld vacuum cleaner for testing. This is the first handheld vacuum cleaner in the Roborock line, a company widely known for its robotic vacuum cleaners and a sub-brand of Xiaomi. It costs around $300. At the time of writing, this vacuum cleaner is listed at $280 on the Lamobile website. Let's take a look at the new Roborock H6 handheld vacuum cleaner, how it performs at its primary function, and most importantly, whether it's worth the money. Let's get started!
Equipment
Let's start with an overview of the components. Here's what the original box the vacuum cleaner comes in looks like:
In addition to the main unit, the kit includes a rigid extension tube, a wall-mounted holder for nozzles, a flexible extension tube, a crevice tool, a wall-mounted holder for the main unit, a main nozzle with a turbo brush, a mini electric brush, a power adapter, a soft-bristled nozzle, an operating manual, and a quick start guide for using this vacuum cleaner.
Overall, the kit is complete, including all the necessary accessories and attachments for a thorough deep cleaning of your home or apartment, as well as for cleaning the interior of your car. Incidentally, if you don't want to drill a hole in the wall to install the wall mount, you can purchase a floor stand separately, which also allows for compact storage and saves space. It costs about $30.
Here's what the wall mount looks like:
Appearance
Let's start by looking at the main unit itself. It's finished in dark gray, complemented by red accents.
The OLED display immediately catches the eye, displaying all the necessary information. The vacuum cleaner can even calculate battery life in different modes.
There are three operating modes: Eco, Standard, and Maximum. They are switched by pressing a button on the end of the handle, conveniently located just under your thumb.
The Roborock H6 is turned on by pressing the trigger on the handle. A locking button is located next to the trigger, which locks the vacuum cleaner in the on position. This is convenient and eliminates the need to constantly hold the trigger while cleaning. Below the trigger is a button for touchless emptying of the dust bin. This is another clever design decision by the engineers.
At the end, under the handle, there is a battery and a connector for manual charging.
In addition, the vacuum cleaner can be charged on a wall holder; special terminals are installed at the bottom for this purpose.
The battery itself is non-removable, which is a drawback, as you can't replace it with a charged one while cleaning. Although the vacuum cleaner can run for up to 40 minutes in standard mode, this is generally sufficient for cleaning.
The Roborock H6 features a five-stage filtration system. The filter bowl and all filters are washable with water, but be sure to dry them thoroughly before reinstalling. The main unit is easy to disassemble and reassemble, and all fasteners are secure.
The attachments are also easy to install and remove thanks to the clips.
Incidentally, the vacuum isn't particularly heavy, given its high build quality and durable plastic. The main unit weighs 1,382 grams, the extension tube weighs just 230 grams, and the main brush weighs 793 grams. When assembled, the vacuum weighs no more than 2.4 kg. However, with the crevice tool attached to the main unit, for example, it weighs just over 1.4 kg. This is an excellent weight for a handheld vacuum.
Let's take a look at the included attachments. There are only four, but in my opinion, more is not necessary.
The main nozzle is equipped with a bristled turbo brush, which effectively collects debris from both hard flooring and carpets thanks to its individual motor.
It can be disassembled by unscrewing it from the side. To do this, you'll need a flat object, such as a coin, handy.
The mini electric brush is similar in design and features a motor. It disassembles in a similar manner. However, due to its more compact size and long bristles, this attachment is better suited for cleaning upholstery and mattresses. The soft-bristled attachment is also suitable for cleaning furniture and hard-to-reach areas. It's also convenient for cleaning cars. The crevice tool is great for cleaning the joints between furniture sections and, for example, the joints between ceilings and walls when an extension tube is installed, to collect cobwebs.
Technical specifications
Now that we've looked at the Roborock H6's appearance, let's review its specifications. Key features include:
| Suction power | up to 25,000 Pa (150 AW) |
| Power consumption | 420 W |
| Battery | Li-Po, 3610 mAh |

| Charging time | up to 4 hours |

This is undoubtedly one of the most powerful handheld vacuum cleaners in the Xiaomi family, and in terms of power, it can compete with Dyson vacuum cleaners, for example. We'll now test some of the other characteristics during our testing.
Testing
We highly recommend watching our video for a visual overview and test of the Roborock H6:
Below is a text version of all testing stages.
Opening hours
First, let's check how long the battery actually lasts with Turbo mode enabled. We charged the battery to 100%. We also installed the main brush head, which also uses power.
The Roborock H6 lasted almost 11 minutes at maximum suction power. This is a good result; most similar devices can only run for up to 9 minutes.
Noise level
Now let's check the Roborock H6's noise level. As a reminder, the manufacturer claims 72 dB.
In Eco mode, the noise level is approximately 70.8 dB. In Standard mode, it's 73.4 dB. In Turbo mode, it's 80.5 dB. Considering such high power, the noise level is acceptable and certainly no louder than powerful handheld vacuum cleaners from other brands.
Suction power
Let's test how well Roborock H6 sucks up debris from crevices of varying depths.
It can suck up debris even from the deepest 10mm crack. It's truly powerful.
Quality of cleaning
Finally, let's test how the Roborock H6 actually cleans. We scattered various household debris on the laminate flooring, including pet hair, ground coffee grounds to simulate dust, bread crumbs, and grains.
You can see that the vacuum cleaner did a great job. It picks up debris well, leaving nothing in corners and along baseboards. A small amount of hair got slightly tangled around the brush, but most of the debris was collected in the dust bin.
We also conducted a similar test on carpet. Even on carpet, the vacuum cleaner efficiently picked up pet hair, hair, and various small debris. Cleaning performance was very high.
Finally, we'll show you how to empty the dust bin. It's quite simple: just press a button and the debris will fall out neatly. It's very convenient, and most importantly, your hands won't come into contact with the debris.
Let's sum it up
So, we've reviewed the Roborock H6 in action. This handheld vacuum cleaner is very easy to use, powerful, and effective on all surfaces. Let's conclude by evaluating it based on various criteria.
Ergonomics 9 out of 10. The only thing I miss is a vertical parking feature, so I could leave the vacuum cleaner in the same spot while cleaning, for example, to pick up things from the floor. Otherwise, I liked the Roborock H6. The handle is comfortable, there's a locking power button, and an informative display. Everything is easy to disassemble for cleaning and maintenance, and most importantly, the locking mechanisms are reliable and won't break with careful use.
Versatility 8 out of 10. This is a new criterion for evaluating handheld vacuum cleaners that simply must be added. I deducted two points for the non-removable battery and the lack of a replacement fluffy roller brush for parquet floors, although it is sold separately on AliExpress. Otherwise, the package is complete; the vacuum cleaner cleans well on both hard floors and carpets. It has different modes for different operating conditions and a variety of attachments.
Cleaning quality 10 out of 10. You've seen it all for yourself: the Roborock H6 picks up a variety of floor debris, including pet hair. Nothing clogs the center brush, and all debris collects in the dust bin. It also removes debris well from deep crevices. Overall, there are no complaints about its cleaning performance.
Manufacturer support 8 out of 10. This handheld vacuum cleaner is available at various online stores, including Lamobile. The store offers a one-year warranty, so you shouldn't have any problems with after-sales service. However, a major drawback is that while the model is new, it can be difficult to find spare parts or accessories. I personally didn't find any in stock in Russian stores. However, AliExpress has everything, not just filters and brushes, but also attachments and spare parts at reasonable prices. Distributors claim that they will soon have accessories in stock. Therefore, for now, this vacuum cleaner isn't as highly rated as I'd like.
Total 35 out of 40 points
To sum it up, I really liked the Roborock H6 for its build quality, powerful motor, and ergonomics. It also looks stylish and, like all Roborock products, boasts high reliability. So, without a doubt, in the sub-$300 price range, it's one of the best options for the money, if not the best.
That's all I have for now. If you have any questions, please ask them in the comments below. Happy shopping, everyone!
