Functional capabilities

The DeeBot DM85 supports a variety of operating modes, allowing you to choose the one that best suits your cleaning needs. You can select a mode by pressing a button on the robotic vacuum's control panel or using the remote control.

Overview of the DeeBot DM85 robot vacuum cleaner modes:

  1. "Automatic": the most common mode of all. In this mode, the vacuum cleaner moves in a straight line and changes direction when it detects an obstacle.
  2. "Intensive Cleaning" is designed for thoroughly cleaning floors with heavy debris and dust accumulation. The robot vacuum cleaner uses the same algorithm as the automatic cleaning mode, but it is more sensitive to dirt and cleans the floor more thoroughly.
  3. "Spot Cleaning" is used for areas with the heaviest dirt accumulation. It takes just one minute to clean a small area.
  4. "Perimeter cleaning" is used to clean debris in a room along furniture, walls and in corners.
  5. "Return to Base": The robot automatically returns to the docking station to recharge. You can also manually return the robot to the base at any time using the remote control or by pressing a button on the robot vacuum's control panel.

Cleaning modes

The DeeBot DM85 allows you to schedule daily cleaning by setting a specific time for the device to start operating in automatic mode.

With its optional wet cleaning function, the robot vacuum cleaner can not only remove accumulated debris but also mop smooth floors. Simply fill the special water tank, attach it and the microfiber cloth to the bottom of the unit, and set the desired mode. Water is automatically applied to the cloth, wetting it evenly throughout the cleaning process.

A distinctive feature of the DeeBot DM85 is the ability to operate with the main brush removed. This allows for increased suction power, which is practical when cleaning carpets.

Operating instructions

A user manual is included with the DeeBot robot. The manual's main sections include safety information, the contents of the package, and the device's basic parameters. It also describes the operation, programming, and maintenance of the robot vacuum cleaner, as well as troubleshooting steps for any malfunctions that may arise.

Advantages and disadvantages

Let us recall the main advantages of a robot vacuum cleaner:

  1. Compact body dimensions, attractive traditional appearance.
  2. Powerful, long-lasting lithium-ion battery allows you to clean large areas.
  3. Automatic installation for charging.
  4. Various operating modes, schedule programming, wet cleaning function.
  5. Two levels of filtration, presence of HEPA filter.
  6. Sufficient container capacity for waste collection.
  7. Removable turbo brush.
  8. Sensors against collision with obstacles, height differences, and dust.
  9. Dust container full indicator.

The price of a robot vacuum cleaner is much higher than average, so we'll boldly list the model's obvious disadvantages:

  1. No movement limiter included.
  2. There is no separate navigation system or ability to create a map of the premises.
  3. According to user reviews, the robot gets tangled in objects on the floor, such as wires and curtains, and sometimes has trouble finding the docking station.
  4. There is no possibility to control via smartphone.

Considering the 2018 model's price is $390, we still recommend looking for a robot vacuum cleaner from a more reputable brand: iClebo or iRobot. They will offer higher build quality and offer service and maintenance options.
