Mamibot EXVAC660

This review focuses on the Mamibot EXVAC660 robotic vacuum cleaner, the brainchild of one of the leading US robotics manufacturers, Mamibot Manufacturing USA Inc. The manufacturer offers a wide range of cleaning products, including automated vacuum cleaners, robotic window cleaners, robotic lawn mowers, and more. The EXVAC660 robotic vacuum cleaner features room mapping and wet mopping, a powerful battery, a large dust container, and low noise levels. These are just a few of the robot's many advantages. It's designed for cleaning all types of flooring, including low-pile carpet and rugs. At around $200, it's in the mid-price range. We'll cover all of these features in more detail below.
Equipment
The Mamibot EXVAC660 delivery kit includes the following components:
- Robot vacuum cleaner.
- Charging station.
- Network adapter.
- Remote control.
- Side brushes (4 pcs.).
- HEPA filter (2 pcs.).
- Foam filter (2 pcs.).
- Water tank.
- Microfiber cloth (2 pcs.).
- Brush for cleaning the dust collector.
- Operating instructions.
- Warranty card.
The robot comes with one cleaning cloth, a set of filters and side brushes as spare parts.
The robot vacuum cleaner is shipped in a double box: an outer kraft cardboard box for protection during transport and an inner box with a glossy finish. The packaging includes a plastic handle for easy carrying. The inner box features the Mamibot EXVAC660's key specifications and features, as well as an image of the robot itself.
Appearance
The Mamibot EXVAC660's body combines semi-matte and glossy plastic. The robot vacuum cleaner's gray color lends it a practical and elegant appearance. Furthermore, when viewed from the front, a pattern of light, intersecting lines can be seen on the lid. The top also features a single "Start" button, a Wi-Fi indicator light, and the device's name, beneath which is a yellow button for removing the dust container. Gentle pressure allows easy removal of the transparent, 600-milliliter solid waste container. The lid of the container features step-by-step instructions for emptying it. The dust container is equipped with three components: a built-in mesh filter, a foam insert, and a HEPA filter.
When reviewing the Mamibot EXVAC660 from the side, we see a connector for connecting a network adapter and charging the device directly from the mains, a power button, a movable protective bumper with a 5-millimeter stroke, obstacle sensors, and air exhaust vents.
On the bottom of the robot vacuum cleaner are the drive side wheels, a swivel wheel at the front, two contact pads for docking with the charging base, a battery compartment, height sensors, a turbo brush under a yellow plastic frame, and side brushes with three flexible blades each, each with five-centimeter bristles at the end.
If you need to perform wet cleaning, install the dedicated 350-milliliter water tank instead of the dustbin and attach a microfiber cloth to it using elastic bands and Velcro. Since the robot automatically supplies water to the cloth, you don't have to constantly wet it manually. Wet cleaning mode is only available for smooth flooring such as linoleum, laminate, and tile.

Functional capabilities
To begin cleaning, press the "Start" button on the top cover of the Mamibot EXVAC660 or the "Start/Pause" button on the remote control, then select the desired cleaning mode. During cleaning, the robotic vacuum's side brushes rotate very quickly, sweeping debris toward the center, after which the central turbo brush takes over. The collected debris, along with air, is then drawn through the suction channel into the dust bin. There, the air passes through a filter system and is exhausted through the vents.
In Smart Cleaning mode, the robot automatically plots its route and moves in a serpentine pattern from wall to wall. When cleaning floors, the robot can create a map of the room in the mobile app, but this is done anew each time. The app, called "WeBack," can be downloaded from the Play Market or App Store. One advantage is that it's localized in Russian, but the translation isn't always accurate.
Users can also schedule cleaning in advance so the robot vacuum can clean when the homeowners are away. This feature is accessible via the remote control and app.
The "Spot Cleaning" mode is designed for cleaning the dirtiest, most compact areas. The Mamibot EXVAC660 vacuum cleaner moves in a spiral pattern. Available only in the mobile app.
The "Single Room Cleaning" mode works as follows: place the robot vacuum cleaner in the desired room, press the corresponding button on the remote control and close the door.
The "Contour Cleaning" mode is designed for intensive cleaning of floors along baseboards and in corners. It's especially useful for pet owners, whose fur often gets matted along walls.
The robot has two suction intensity levels: standard and high. Higher power provides more effective suction on carpets, but the battery will drain twice as fast.
Advantages and disadvantages
To conclude this review, we will list the main advantages and disadvantages of the Mamibot EXVAC660.
Pros:
- Nice design, practical.
- Building a map of the premises.
- Two levels of suction power.
- Different operating modes.
- Wet cleaning function.
- Cleaning according to schedule.
- Control from a smartphone (+ the application is Russian-language).
- Voice control (Alexa and Google Home).
- Low noise level.
Cons:
- It is necessary to look for accessories and consumables.
- There is no movement limiter included.
Considering its specifications and functionality, this robot vacuum cleaner is average. Many similarly priced options offer similar features and specifications. There's nothing particularly special about this model, other than voice control. However, it cleans well, so we found no reason to buy it.
Finally, we recommend watching a video review of the Mamibot EXVAC660:
Analogues:

Everything is fine with the vacuum cleaner, but then it started showing an error message: the middle brush was not found, regardless of whether it was installed or not.
We had this problem... we had to clean the brush from lint, not only the brush but also the end.
The app says the middle brush isn't detected. It runs for a minute and then turns off.
We just bought the vacuum cleaner. It runs for half an hour and then needs to charge again. Before that, it was charging for almost a day.
In "Smart Cleaning" mode, there's no zigzag motion; it only sweeps along the perimeter, and repeatedly. What should I do?
