Appearance
Polaris has developed a clean and original design for the PVCR 0920WV Rufer. Its body features a matte finish in two colors: the bottom is black plastic, and the top is silver plastic. The center of the upper body is the dust bin lid. It is made of tinted plastic and opens with a gentle press. The front panel features a touchscreen with buttons for selecting the device's operating mode and starting it. This screen also displays the battery level and a built-in clock.
An examination of the device's exterior revealed a front bumper with a strip of soft rubber. This strip protects the robot vacuum from accidental collisions. Sensors embedded in the bumper allow the device to survey the room and navigate easily without colliding with decorative objects.
The Polaris PVCR 0920WV has two main shock-absorbing wheels mounted underneath, with a debris suction compartment between them. This opening can be used to attach the main brush assembly. Above it is the battery compartment cover, and below the main brush is a mounting area for a wet cleaning cloth.

Functional capabilities
The Polaris PVCR 0920WV Rufer robot vacuum cleaner comes with two cleaning unit options: one with an electric brush and one with a rubber squeegee. The electric brush is recommended for use on carpets and other surfaces where coarse debris needs to be removed. In this case, the brush will automatically push the debris into the suction port. The robot with a rubber squeegee is recommended for use on flat, smooth surfaces where light debris such as dust and hair needs to be removed.
The Polaris robot vacuum cleaner operates in five modes:
- Standard. In this mode, the robot autonomously surveys the room and sets its own trajectory. The vacuum cleaner operates until its battery is nearly depleted. This mode is also used when cleaning a room according to a user-defined schedule.
- Intensive. The Polaris PVCR 0920WV will thoroughly clean a specific area of the room, moving in a twisting and untwisting spiral.
- Manual mode. In this mode, you can conveniently control the robot vacuum cleaner using the remote control. This mode can be used to direct the robot to a specific area to be cleaned or to manually control the cleaning process.
- Zigzag.
- Along furniture, walls and baseboards.
The Polaris PVCR 0920WV Rufer can also wet clean various surfaces. To do this, attach the included cleaning cloth to the vacuum cleaner and fill the container with water. The cloth will automatically rehydrate as you clean. It's recommended to remove the side brushes for this type of cleaning.
Another feature of the model is the presence in the kit virtual wallWith its help, the user can limit the device's trajectory, preventing it from entering prohibited areas.
The robot vacuum cleaner can be charged in two ways: via the base or with a power supply. This allows you to transport the Polaris robot without having to take the base with you. The power supply is sufficient.
Operating instructions
The device comes with a manual describing its capabilities, how to set it up, how to operate it, and care tips and recommendations. Following these recommendations will help extend the life of your vacuum cleaner.

Advantages and disadvantages
A review of the device's capabilities identified its features:
- Polaris 0920WV has two cleaning units.
- You can wet wipe the floor.
- A virtual wall that restricts movement and prevents the device from entering restricted areas.
- The dust collector is easy to remove and clean.
- The robot vacuum cleaner operates according to the specified schedule.
The model does have its minor drawbacks. The main one is that the device can accidentally shift its base during operation. Other disadvantages include:
- Wet cleaning is quite basic and does not replace a full floor mop.
- Has difficulty climbing onto carpets.
- It takes a long time to charge.
It's worth noting that the average price of this model in 2018 was $220. We think it's a better value for the money. choose a robot vacuum cleaner from a more reputable and trusted brand. However, overall, this device cleans quite well, and there are no complaints about its cleaning quality, so if you like the robot and are willing to pay that much, then you'll have to decide for yourself.
Finally, we recommend watching a video review of the Polaris PVCR 0920WV Rufer:
Analogues:

The vacuum cleaner is so-so... I regret buying this one. It doesn't clean well. It can't pick up the pile of debris you see in the video in one pass (passage?). On the contrary, it scatters everything in all directions with its brushes, and then takes an hour to clean, and I even have to walk around and push it under so it can suck it up. If it runs onto a rug, and I don't even have a rug, just a rug by the front door, it gets stuck there and screams, "Put the robot on the floor!" It can't get off on its own. You have to go over and move it. If you walk through the rooms after cleaning like that, you'll find a lot of debris. Overall, it's not worth the money at all.
