Proscenic 880L

In today's review, we'll discuss a newcomer to the robot vacuum cleaner market: the Proscenic 880L, a model for dry and wet cleaning of various floor types. The device boasts a unique appearance and impressive specifications and features, including room mapping and display in a mobile app, which can also be used to control the device using an infrared remote control. This model falls into the mid-price range, priced between $150 and $170. Read on for a description of the robot's key features.
Equipment
The robot is delivered in a cardboard box with black and white printing. A small sticker with an image of the Proscenic 880L can be seen on the side of the box. Upon opening the box, the following contents are revealed:
- The robot vacuum cleaner itself.
- Charging base.
- Network adapter.
- Infrared remote control (powered by two AAA batteries).
- HEPA filter.
- Water tank.
- Microfiber cloth.
- Brush for cleaning the filter and sensors.
- Operating instructions (in several languages).
The kit also includes a short guide with a QR code for downloading the app and a link to the manufacturer's advertising materials.
Appearance
The robot vacuum cleaner has a futuristic design and a square shape with slightly rounded edges. In fact, the Proscenic 880L looks very stylish and unusual compared to its round counterparts. The body is gray-blue.
When viewing the device from above, only a cap can be seen in the lidar area. Therefore, the robot vacuum cleaner's orientation is achieved solely through the coordinated operation of its sensors (infrared and ultrasonic). The more expensive D500 model, however, is already equipped with a lidar sensor. The top panel also features three touch-sensitive control buttons and two indicators for battery charge and Wi-Fi connection. Under the lid of the Proscenic 880L is a solid waste container with a capacity of 420 milliliters.
The bumper features a rubberized trim and a pair of obstacle sensors. On the side is a proximity sensor for walls. At the rear is a sensor that allows the robot to reverse, but it doesn't protect the robot from collisions. Therefore, it's more accurately described as a receiver for the remote control signal. Air outlets are also located on the side of the Proscenic 880L.
The bottom of the robot vacuum cleaner contains four height sensors, a pair of modular wheels, contact pads for recharging on the docking station, a small guide wheel, one side brush, and a turbo brush.

Functional capabilities
The 880L robot vacuum cleaner doesn't just move randomly around the room; it systematically plots a route and displays a real-time cleaning map in the Proscenic Home mobile app for Android and iOS. All this is possible thanks to the built-in IPANS 2.0 intelligent cleaning system and APP Control system.
Using a Wi-Fi connection, users can schedule, control, pause, and customize cleaning of any area using their smartphone. However, it's important to note that the mobile app only supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. The Proscenic 880L robot also supports Alexa voice commands. Connect it to Alexa, and you can command the robot vacuum to start, stop, return to the charging base, and more.
The Proscenic 880L combines sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping capabilities. This combination allows for more effective floor cleaning. Cleaning performance is further enhanced by a large suction opening of up to twenty centimeters and a V-shaped dual turbo brush with a floating structure that adapts perfectly to surface conditions. One brush section is rubber for removing stains, while the other is fiber-based, sweeping away dirt, hair, and pet hair. The robot vacuum also features a side brush for capturing dust. Before mopping, install the water tank and attach a microfiber cloth to the bottom of the unit.
After finishing a job or when the battery is low, the Proscenic 880L robot automatically returns to the docking station to recharge. This ensures the device is always ready for the next cleaning cycle. You can also charge the vacuum directly from the power outlet using the included one-meter power adapter.
To prevent collisions with surrounding objects and falls from height, the robot vacuum cleaner is equipped with infrared and ultrasonic dual obstacle and height detection technology.
Before you begin cleaning, remember that a robotic vacuum cleaner cannot overcome obstacles taller than one and a half centimeters, so you must ensure that the area is clear of objects that could interfere with its operation (wires, socks, curtain tassels, etc.).
