Xrobot N1

Today, we're reviewing the Chinese-made Xrobot N1 robot vacuum cleaner for dry and wet cleaning. This mid-priced robot (priced at $149.90) can be used on wood floors, tile, and carpet. For spatial navigation, the robot uses built-in sensors to prevent collisions with surrounding obstacles and prevent falls from stairs and other high objects. It can change modes depending on cleaning conditions, and it can also limit the working area by installing a magnetic strip. These and other features of this model will be discussed later in the review.
Equipment
What's included in the standard Xrobot N1 package:
- Robot vacuum cleaner.
- Charging station.
- Power adapter.
- Remote control with AAA batteries.
- Magnetic limiting tape.
- Side brushes (2 pairs).
- Water tank.
- Mop.
- Coarse filter and HEPA filter.
- Screwdriver.
- Cleaning brush.
- Instructions.
- Warranty card.
Appearance
The robot's round body is made of white plastic. The Xrobot N1's dimensions are quite compact: 300 x 300 x 70 mm. It weighs 2 kilograms.
The front panel features two mechanical buttons with indicator lights: power and charging. The company logo is located in the center. However, the majority of the display is taken up by the lid, which houses a 500-milliliter waste container.
When viewing the robot vacuum cleaner from the front, we see a mechanical protective bumper, ventilation holes at the rear, and a socket for connecting the adapter and charging the battery directly from the mains. A 250 ml wet cleaning tank is also located at the rear.
The rear of the Xrobot N1 robot contains drive wheels, a single front swivel wheel, charging contacts, a battery compartment, a power switch, two side brushes, and a suction port. A mop for wet cleaning the floor is also attached to the bottom.
The robot vacuum cleaner is equipped with obstacle avoidance sensors around its perimeter, as well as height difference sensors to prevent the device from falling from elevated surfaces.
Let's move on to a review of the technical parameters of the Xrobot N1 robot vacuum cleaner model.
Technical specifications
All characteristics are summarized in the table:
| Type of cleaning | Dry and wet |
| Battery | Li-Ion 14.4 V, capacity 2500 mAh |
| Opening hours | 90-120 minutes |
| Charging time | 240 minutes |
| Rated power | 25 W |
| Maximum height of obstacles | Up to 20 mm |
| Dust collector capacity | 500 ml |
| Water tank capacity | 250 ml |
| Dimensions | 300*300*70 mm |
| Weight | 2 kg |
| Noise level | 65 dB |
The Xrobot N1 robot vacuum cleaner is equipped with a 2500 mAh lithium-ion battery. This battery is designed for 1.5-2 hours of continuous operation, enough time to clean a medium-sized room. After finishing cleaning, or when the battery is low, the device automatically returns to the charging station.
When cleaning, the robot vacuum cleaner produces a noise level of 65 dB. This is neither high nor low among similar devices, but the noise level is significantly lower than that of a conventional vacuum cleaner.
Functional capabilities
As mentioned earlier in the review, the Xrobot N1 robot vacuum cleaner is equipped with sensitive proximity and collision sensors, as well as cliff sensors to prevent the robot from accidentally slipping down stairs. A spring-loaded bumper serves as a mechanical barrier. For added safety, use magnetic tape to secure fragile items, pet bowls, and more.
The floor cleaning process is as follows: two side brushes sweep debris from the floor surface and direct it toward the suction port, through which it enters the dust collector. The dust collector is equipped with coarse and fine filters, which retain even the smallest dust and dirt particles and prevent them from being dispersed back into the air.
The Xrobot N1 robot vacuum cleaner allows you to adjust the suction power depending on the level of dirt in the room. You can set the device to a spot mode for cleaning a small area of the floor, for example, to remove spilled cereal. You can also set the perimeter cleaning mode, which will thoroughly clean the floor along baseboards and furniture.
For wet mopping, place the water reservoir on the bottom of the unit and attach the mop. This mode is not intended for use on carpets.
To control the robot vacuum cleaner manually and make various settings, use the infrared remote control included with the Xrobot N1.
Advantages and disadvantages
Pros:
- Thoughtful design. It houses both a dust collector and a water tank.
- Rich set of accessories (including magnetic tape and batteries for the remote control).
- 2500 mAh lithium-ion battery.
- Suction power adjustment.
- Wet wiping of the floor.
Cons:
- Poor navigation (only by sensors).
- No control from mobile app.
- Chaotic movement around the room.
- There is no central brush.
At $150, it's far from the best robot vacuum in its class, but its compact size and ability to simultaneously vacuum and mop make it worth considering. It faces significant competition from the Xiaomi Mijia 1C, which is controlled via an app, creates a room map, and features electronically adjustable wetness.
