We tested most of the top 5 products, then briefly reviewed their features and functions and shared our personal opinions on their purchase decisions.
Top 5 Best Robotic Floor Moppers
Video version of our rating:
Hobot Legee 7
The leader of our rating is a new product Hobot Legee 7, which will go on sale in May 2021 and will cost about $450.
This robot is equipped with a unique cleaning module based on two moving platforms. These platforms oscillate at a frequency of 900 strokes per minute and have a 20 mm amplitude. Four water jets are installed between the platforms, and the cleaning pads themselves are thick enough to effectively absorb dirt.
This entire set of design solutions allows for high-quality cleaning of dirt from floors, as confirmed in our tests.
It's also important to note that the Hobot Legee 7 can automatically adjust the water flow depending on the floor temperature. The warmer the floor, the more water flows from the nozzles. In addition to full wet cleaning, this robot is equipped with a dust collector that sucks up small household debris, as well as pet hair. This means the robot can mop and vacuum simultaneously.
This model uses lidar for navigation, allowing the Hobot Legee 7 to create a room map, store up to five maps in memory, automatically divide the room into rooms, and customize cleaning modes for each room, including setting no-go zones. All functionality is available in the proprietary mobile app, but an optional remote control is available if needed.
Overall, this is undoubtedly the best robotic mop of 2021 in terms of features, functionality, and cleaning quality. And if you washing robot vacuum cleaner Some claims may be made against him, but as a floor polisher he is completely free of them.
Leader Review and Test:
iLIFE W450
In second place is iLIFE W450, which we also reviewed.
This is primarily a robotic vacuum cleaner, but it can also be used as a floor polisher. This is thanks to its rotating roller, which effectively removes dried stains and dirt from the floor.
The roller speed, water flow rate, and robot speed can be adjusted via the mobile app and the included remote control. A significant advantage of this model is that water flows from a clean water tank onto the floor and, after cleaning, flows into a separate dirty water tank. Furthermore, residual water is collected not only by the suction module but also by a rubber squeegee installed behind the roller.
The iLIFE W450 is equipped with a camera for navigation. The camera allows the robot to create a real-time map of the room, but it doesn't store it in its memory. It's also worth noting that the robot must be manually placed on a special charging platform to charge. Overall, this robot performs well as a floor polisher and is capable of cleaning large areas, but its functionality and navigation are inferior to those of the top-ranked robot. It's also important to note that the iLIFE W450 is also two to three times cheaper, ranging from $150 to $200. For many, this can be a deciding factor when choosing a robotic floor polisher for their home or apartment.
Video review and test:
Everybot Edge
The top three leaders included a robotic floor polisher called Everybot EdgeThis is the brainchild of a Korean manufacturer.
It also features its own unique cleaning module, featuring two rotating discs with microfiber cloths attached. Water flows to the cloths by gravity, and the cloths rotate at a speed of up to 5,700 rpm, according to the manufacturer.
The quality of dirt and dried-on stain removal is on par with the previous two contenders, but the Everybot Edge's significant advantage is that it can clean along walls, while similar robots leave several centimeters uncleaned due to their design. No other robotic floor cleaner on the market can clean corners effectively.
You can see the quality of dirt removal in a separate video, where we compare a robotic floor polisher and an electric mop:
Everybot Edge's gyroscope-based navigation makes it more suitable for cleaning a specific room or several small spaces. This ensures high-quality cleaning. The robotic mop is controlled via a remote control with several different operating modes. An additional unique feature of this model is the ability to manually clean vertical surfaces, such as tiled walls. The price of Everybot Edge at the time of writing is $220, placing it in the mid-price range.
iRobot Braava Jet m6
The 2021 rating of robotic floor polishers continues with the model Braava Jet m6 from the popular American manufacturer, iRobot.
This robot also has its own unique features that might be of interest to anyone looking for a high-quality floor polisher for their home or apartment.
Well, first of all, there is a nozzle installed at the front to spray water in front of the floor polisher while it is moving.
Secondly, the platform with the cleaning cloth vibrates slightly as it moves, which helps remove dirt from the floor better. Thirdly, the robot moves back and forth during cleaning, mimicking the motion of a mop when manually washing the floor. Ultimately, the cleaning module itself is less effective than those of the previous top 5 contenders, but it will still handle automated cleaning of the home.
The model's highlight is its functionality. Using a camera, the robot creates a map of the room, stores it in its memory, and automatically divides it into rooms. This allows you to select the desired cleaning commands, as well as set no-go zones where the robot should not enter.
The iRobot Braava Jet m6 can sync with the Roomba 976, i-series, and s-series robot vacuums to alternate between dry and wet cleaning. The robot vacuum will first sweep the entire available area, then signal the mopping unit to initiate wet cleaning.
Additionally, it's important to highlight the control via the proprietary mobile app, which provides all the aforementioned features. All of this is backed by the high build quality and reliability of iRobot products, one of the most reputable robot vacuum cleaner manufacturers in the world. However, this robot has one significant drawback: at $4.80, it's the most expensive robot mop in our ranking.
Xiaomi SWDK Smart Cleaning Machine ZDG300
Well, our TOP-5 robotic floor polishers are closed by the model Xiaomi SWDK Smart Cleaning Machine ZDG300The cost varies between $160-$180.
The robot's cleaning module is very similar to the Hobot Legee's solution, but water is delivered through four pads instead of nozzles, saturating them. Furthermore, the pads sweep slightly less frequently, at 600 to 800 strokes per minute. The vibration amplitude is likely also lower.
This robot, like the Braava Jet m6, hasn't yet been reviewed in-depth by us, but reviews are overwhelmingly positive, and online testing results leave a good impression of its cleaning performance. The Xiaomi SWDK ZDG300 uses camera-based navigation, which allows for room mapping. The robot is controlled via the proprietary Mi Home mobile app. Overall, it's a good value, considering its navigation and effective cleaning module, all at a mid-range price.
Which robotic floor polisher should I choose?
So, we've reviewed the best robotic floor polishers of 2021. We hope you were able to find the best option for your needs and budget.
Personally, I'd recommend considering the Hobot Legee 7 if you have a large cleaning area and need the robot to not only mop but also vacuum. For cleaning smaller areas, or even just a single room, the Everybot Edge would be a better choice, as it's better at cleaning along walls and can be used for cleaning vertical surfaces. The iLIFE W450 floor cleaner is interesting in its own way, but it wets the surface too much, which can damage wood floors. Furthermore, the manufacturer's warranty coverage is currently not very good in Russia.
The iRobot Braava Jet m6 would be a great choice for a robot vacuum, but for two robots you'll have to pay between $800 and $1,650, which is prohibitively expensive. The Xiaomi SWDK ZDG300, meanwhile, is somewhat optimal in terms of features and price, but falls short of being the best in one area, making it less attractive in my opinion.
On this note, I'd like to conclude our ranking of the best robotic floor moppers of 2021. If you have any questions, please ask them in the comments. Happy shopping, everyone. Bye!

Good afternoon! I'd like to buy a reasonably priced floor polisher, around 15,000-20,000 rubles. But the cleaning area is quite large, at least 130 square meters. It has a robot vacuum, meaning it collects dust before cleaning. The Everybot Edge is recommended for small areas. Does that mean it won't be able to handle an area of 130 square meters? Or should I use it, for example, not on the entire area, but in different rooms with the doors closed? Or should I just not consider it? I'd like high-quality wet floor cleaning, and I understand it has that.
Yes, the Everybot will need to be run in different rooms one at a time; it won't handle 130 square meters. Check out my review of the Xiaomi SWDK ZDG300; it's also a good option, but the app is a bit rough around the edges. But at least it has a camera, and it can definitely clean 80 square meters in one go. The battery is a bit weak for that kind of space. Only the Ligi 7 can handle 130 square meters, but it's significantly more expensive.
Thank you so much for your reply! Thanks to your reviews, I chose a robot vacuum cleaner, which I'm incredibly happy with. I hope you'll be happy with the floor polisher too.
Hello. Could you tell me which floor polisher you ended up choosing?
Hello, I'm looking to buy either a League 7 or a Brava M6+ S9. I currently have the DeeBot OZMO 950.
Will League 7 handle dry and wet cleaning, or will I need to leave the deebot and run it before League?
What about voice commands for the League? I heard they added Google Assistant. Is it possible to use voice commands to clean rooms by room? (For example, vacuum/mop the bedroom floor.) The Deebot has voice commands, but not specifically for individual rooms. I think the Irobot does, but it's much more expensive than the League 7 (if you buy a duster and a floor polisher).
Good afternoon! If you already have a Dibot 950, it's definitely better to get the Ligi 7; it'll be a good combination. Regarding voice assistants, it's best to check with a manager on the official website. They should have added control via Alice.
Hello! Could you please tell me how to choose a robotic vacuum cleaner or floor polisher? There's no WiFi in my house, and we only use mobile data. We also want it to pick up pet hair. Thanks in advance.
Hello! Well, it will still clean, but it won't have features like virtual walls, no-go zones, or room selection. You could get a robot with a remote control; at least you'll be able to adjust the power and select a spot cleaning mode/manually direct it to the desired area. But it's still a bit of a miss.
Hello. I'm looking for a floor polisher for a small animal shelter. The main thing I need is a high-quality wash, but dry cleaning is also necessary (mainly to remove a lot of fluff and hair, as well as loose litter (wood and pebbles). There's a lot to clean (dried burps and hair, greasy stains from natural food (porridge, meat), dried urine, and paw prints from toileting). The area I need to clean is currently about 40 square meters. Can you suggest something? I initially settled on the Xiaomi Mijia 1c, but then realized it wouldn't work for me. Thank you!
Hello! I think one of these is needed. https://robovac.washerhouse.com/en/o-robotah/robovac-roboty-pylesosy-so-stantsiej-dlya-ronoskaniya-salfetok.html True, not all of them are on sale yet.
Don't buy the iRobot Braava m6! Its cleaning performance is terrible—it just rubs everything. No suction. The price is outrageous. It's 200% unrepairable, just impossible. It died within two years. It leaked water from its own tank and rotted.
