Best Robot Vacuum Cleaners of 2021

Welcome to all site readers! This article will review the best robotic vacuum cleaners for the home in 2021. It's important to note that we'll be discussing models that specialize in floor cleaning rather than delicate wet cleaning. There are only a few such robotic vacuum cleaners on the CIS market, and it's important to know about them. If you're interested in robots for dry and wet cleaningYou can explore this rating separately on the website. Now, we'll focus specifically on floor cleaners. So, let's get started!
Our separate video clearly shows all the participants in the rating and demonstrates their cleaning quality:
Top 3 Floor Cleaning Robots
Hobot Legee 7
The leader of our rating is a new product Hobot Legee 7, which is expected to hit the market in May 2021.
We've already thoroughly tested this robotic floor cleaner. It's equipped with lidar for navigation and a unique cleaning module based on two moving platforms. These platforms are equipped with thick microfiber cloths, and four nozzles for wetting the floor are positioned between the cloths. The platforms move up to 900 times per minute, mimicking the motion of a human hand when scrubbing stains.
Thanks to this design, the robot is capable of cleaning large areas, up to 240 square meters. It can not only effectively perform wet cleaning, picking up dust and debris from the floor, but also remove dried stains in just a few passes.
The only thing to keep in mind is that the Hobot Legee 7 won't handle large amounts of dirt, as the cloths will become clogged with it and simply smear the dirt across the floor until you remove them and rinse them. However, in real-life household situations, this is a rare occurrence. Most often, the robot is purchased for high-quality wet cleaning and cleaning of specific areas that are more prone to dirt, such as the hallway or kitchen.
The Hobot Legee 7 boasts a dry cleaning function and all the advanced features of the app when using the map. You can select rooms to clean and customize the appropriate cleaning mode for each room, as well as set no-go zones where the robotic floor cleaner should not enter.
In addition, the Legee 7 features intelligent water flow based on floor temperature. The warmer the floor, the more intense the water flow. It's also worth noting that the robot can be configured with a creative voice pack. It's also worth noting that the water flow rate can be adjusted in the app. At maximum flow, the robot thoroughly wets the floor, making it suitable for cleaning tile, stone, and linoleum. At minimum flow, the water flow is gentle, preventing expensive wood floors from swelling. An optional remote control is available if needed. Overall, the robot is free of critical flaws and is capable of effectively cleaning floors in residential settings. The estimated price is approximately $450.
iLIFE W450
In second place is the direct competitor of Khobot League 7 - iLIFE W450This Chinese robot vacuum cleaner is more worthy of the mopping design, as it has a separate tank for clean and dirty water.
The operating principle is also different: first, water is sprayed onto the floor through special nozzles, then a rapidly rotating roller scrubs away dirt, after which the dirty water is pumped into the dirty water tank by a scraper and suction. As a result, in just a few passes, the robot is able to remove all dirt from the floor without leaving streaks.
The iLIFE W450's camera is used for navigation, allowing the robot to create a real-time map of the room. However, the map isn't stored in memory, and the robot vacuum must be manually placed on the charging platform to charge. Control is provided via a remote control and a mobile app. The app allows you to adjust the water flow rate, cleaning speed, and roller speed.
However, even with the minimum water flow setting, the robot still wets the surface thoroughly, which can damage wood flooring. In my opinion, this operating principle makes it better suited for tile and stone floors, as well as linoleum.
Of the other features of the model, it's worth noting that the iLIFE W450 is quite tall (almost 12 cm tall), there's no way to limit cleaning areas, and there are no side brushes. Therefore, cleaning performance along walls, even of dry debris, isn't very good. Overall, this model has many nuances, but the fact remains: it's a good mopping robot vacuum cleaner and I think it would be perfect for cleaning kitchen floors, hallways (where there might be trampled floors), or, for example, retail spaces with tiled floors. I forgot to mention that the iLIFE W450 costs between $140 and $200. I think it would be perfect for pairing with a robot vacuum for dry cleaning.
Hobot Legee 688
Well, the third robotic vacuum cleaner that I would like to draw your attention to is Hobot Legee 688.
It differs from the flagship Legee 7 in its navigation and, consequently, its capabilities. There are also differences in specifications. We've covered all the main differences in this article: https://robovac.washerhouse.com/en/sravnenie/robovac-hobot-legee-7-i-688.html.
Without going into too much detail, the Hobot Legee 688 is equipped with laser sensors in the bumper for navigation. Its spatial orientation accuracy is better than that of robots with a gyroscope, but is inferior to lidar models.
Nevertheless, the cleaning module of the 688 model is almost identical to that of the Liga 7, so the robot can effectively clean floors of approximately 60-80 square meters. We've tested it repeatedly and are pleased with its cleaning performance. Moreover, the price is lower than that of the flagship model, at $370. If you need to save money and have a small area to clean, you might consider upgrading to the predecessor.
What else is important to know?
We've reviewed the best robotic vacuum cleaners available in 2021. It's also worth noting that a rather interesting robotic floor cleaner, the Narwal T10, has been available for sale abroad for over a year now.
It features a unique base for rinsing and drying cloths, which are installed in place of the side brushes. This allows the robot to automatically rinse the cloths during cleaning, preventing them from dragging dirt across the floor and leaving streaks. After cleaning, it parks at the station and the cloths dry, preventing unnecessary wetting of the floor and the development of unpleasant odors if you fail to remove them promptly.
Additionally, the Narwal T10 is equipped with a lidar for navigation, and the app offers all the latest map features. Unfortunately, there are no plans to bring this robot to the Russian market in the near future.
However, at the end of March, it became known that the popular Xiaomi sub-brand Dreame plans to release a new product called the Dreame Bot W10, and according to unconfirmed reports from distributors, this robot could go on sale as early as 2021.
Externally, it's a spitting image of the Narwal T10, so if it's released, it's likely to gain widespread popularity and could be a contender for the title of best robotic vacuum cleaner. Subscribe and stay tuned for a review of the new product and feedback after testing.
