Robotic vacuum cleaners for dry cleaningRobotic vacuum cleaners for dry cleaning

This rating will review the best robot vacuum cleaners for dry cleaning in 2021. If you're not interested in wet cleaning or feel it's not implemented well enough, there's no point in overpaying for it. In most cases, vacuum-only robots are cheaper due to the lack of additional components, such as a water tank and spare cleaning cloths. However, there are exceptions, such as the entire Roomba series from iRobot, as well as robots from LG and Samsung, which are incredibly expensive and only offer vacuum cleaning, although they sometimes perform better than others. In this rating, I've compiled the seven best models suitable for dry cleaning. The list ranges from the most attractive budget models to mid-price models and expensive flagships. The best choice is up to you, based on your desired functionality and budget. So, let's get started!

Top 7 Dry Cleaning Robots

360 C50

The new 360 C50 opens our ranking. This robot vacuum cleaner costs approximately $95-$120. It collects debris using a central brush and two side brushes. Gyroscope-based navigation ensures the robot moves in a zigzag pattern. With a suction power of up to 2600 Pa, the 360 C50 proved its true power during testing. It can clean areas from 40 to 60 square meters, charges automatically in the base, and is controlled by remote control and a mobile app.

It's important to note that the robot does come equipped with a water tank and can also perform wet cleaning. However, if you don't need it, simply don't use it. However, for the price, it's well-built and performs high-quality dry cleaning, especially since it's unmatched in its power in the budget segment.

So, if you're looking for a powerful, budget-friendly robot vacuum for dry cleaning, the 360 C50 is the best option. It's a great option for wet cleaning, so you won't have to pay extra for it.

Xiaomi Vacuum Cleaner 1S

When considering the best robot vacuum cleaners for dry cleaning, you can’t ignore the popular Xiaomi Vacuum Cleaner 1SThis is an updated version of the first-generation model. It costs around $200. The fact is that the first generation was released back in 2016, while this robot vacuum cleaner hit the market in mid-2019.

The suction power has been increased to 2000 Pa. A camera has been added to the lidar for navigation. This allows the robot to map the room, store multiple maps in memory, and divide the room into rooms. It's also possible to restrict cleaning zones in the app. Overall, this robot vacuum cleaner navigates better than its predecessor and has some useful new features, but its dry cleaning performance is roughly the same.

iCLEBO O5 WiFi

The next participant in our rating iClebo O5This Korean robot vacuum cleaner can be purchased for $400-$430. It features a camera for navigation, creates a room map, is controlled via a proprietary mobile app and remote control, and automatically increases suction power on carpets.

The iClebo O5 features a rubber central brush that cleans carpets effectively and efficiently collects pet hair and fur from floors. It also has two side brushes for enhanced cleaning along walls and in corners. This robot is powerful enough to clean areas over 100 square meters, has a 600 ml dust container, and can overcome obstacles as low as 1.5 cm. In our tests, it even managed to climb over thresholds as high as 2 cm, although not always. A damp cloth can be attached to the bottom of the robot (there is no water tank). This cloth allows you to wipe away dust while dry cleaning.

iRobot Roomba i7+

If you are willing to spend around $700-$750 on a robot vacuum cleaner, I highly recommend paying attention to iRobot Roomba i7+Unlike its predecessor, this robot vacuum cleaner can self-clean at its base, save multiple cleaning plans, and zone the room into rooms. Cleaning zones can be defined both in the app and using the included virtual wall.

But the main feature is the self-cleaning base. It holds up to 30 dust bin volumes, eliminating the need for constant manual emptying. Furthermore, the robot can sync with a branded floor polisher. iRobot Braava Jet m6 For combined dry and wet cleaning. App control is also available, but there's no automatic power boost on carpets, which is a drawback. The robot cleans using two updated silicone squeegee rollers and a single side brush.

Among its features, it's worth highlighting the runtime of up to 75 minutes and cleaning area of over 100 square meters. I've been using the iRobot Roomba i7+ for over six months and am very pleased with the high cleaning quality and battery life of this robot vacuum.

Xbot L7 Pro

The new Xbot L7 Pro is a model that could seriously compete with iRobots and Xiaomi. It combines some of the most useful features and specifications of its competitors, including a self-cleaning base, lidar navigation, and powerful suction (2700 Pa). The robot cleans using two side brushes and a detachable central bristle-petal brush. Cleaning quality is high, and it also includes a wet cleaning nozzle (110 ml), which can be attached to the bottom if needed. The price of the robot with the self-cleaning base is $500.

Key features and functions include room mapping, storing up to four maps in memory, room zoning, and cleaning in selected areas/rooms, as well as limiting cleaning zones on the map. Additionally, the robot features automatic power boost on carpet, continued cleaning after recharging at the base, and control via remote control, mobile app, and voice assistants. The robot's 5200 mAh Li-Ion battery provides up to 2.5 hours of cleaning time on a single charge. The dust bin capacity is 600 ml.

Ultimately, it has everything you need for high-quality dry cleaning. In tests, the robot performed well, even compared to its competitors.

iRobot Roomba s9+

Well, the best robot vacuum cleaner for dry cleaning in 2021 is the flagship model iRobot Roomba s9+This robot costs around $1,100. It's prohibitively expensive for the vast majority of the population. The only changes are the body shape and the automatic power boost feature for carpets.

Roomba s9+Roomba s9+

Roomba s9+

Of course, thanks to its D-shape, the robot cleans corners much better. Furthermore, the central squeegee rollers are longer, occupying almost the entire width of the robot. But there's little point in overpaying about $400 for this. The basic functionality remains the same: the robot also self-cleans at the base, maps the room, and saves multiple cleaning plans. It also supports combined cleaning with the company's proprietary robotic mop and room zoning.

The only specification change was the runtime, which increased to 120 minutes. Regardless, the robot takes first place because it does its job perfectly, cleaning both carpets and hard floors well. So, although it's expensive, at least there were no complaints about its cleaning performance during testing.

Which one to choose?!

In conclusion, I still believe that if you have an unlimited budget, it's better to save money and choose the Xbot L7 Pro, iCLEBO O5, or iRobot Roomba i7+ (if you have fluffy carpets at home). For a budget of around $200-$300, I recommend the cheaper Xiaomi Vacuum Cleaner 1S or, alternatively, consider a similar device. Roborock S6 Pure, it has better build quality and brushes. But if you're on a budget, consider the Mijia G1 or 360 C50. They're good options for the money.

When I was choosing a vacuum cleaner, I was primarily concerned with quality and how autonomous it was. For quality, I'd go with the iRobot. Next, I looked at its autonomy. I settled on two models with a self-cleaning base: the s9+ and i7+. Although the s9+ has higher suction power and a turbo mode for carpets, it's incredibly expensive. I decided on the i7+. It actually turns on via my phone and creates room maps. Basically, it drives, cleans, and even empties the dust container into a bag in the charging station. I turn it on every three days or so. I don't worry about the dust for about a month and a half. When the bag is full, I just throw it away and insert a new one. It's simply brilliant.
