Welcome to the site robovac.washerhouse.comThis video will review the best robotic floor moppers of 2020 (updated ranking for the second half of the year). These devices replace routine floor mopping with automated wet cleaning by household robots. Simply prepare the robotic floor mopper for use, and after the cleaning cycle is complete, remove the cloths, rinse, and dry. Minimal maintenance and efficient operation make these devices highly sought after. Below are the top 5 models based on specifications, functionality, and cleaning performance.

Hobot Legee-688

Our rating opens with the flagship model from the manufacturer of famous window cleaners Hobot (short for HOme roBOT) Legee-688In general, this is washing robot vacuum cleanerIt not only cleans floors but also vacuums small debris. The robot's design is unique. Floor cleaning is accomplished through the reciprocating motion of two platforms with microfiber cloths mounted underneath the robot. A suction port is located in front of the moving platforms, and nozzles are positioned between the cloths to wet the floor with clean water and a special detergent. This robot effectively removes even old, dried-on dirt, as confirmed by repeated tests.

Everybot Edge

In second place is the new product from the Korean company Everybot. Model Everybot EdgeThis robotic mopping robot is fundamentally different in design from the Hobot. The Everybot Edge is a compact mopping robot with two rotating discs fitted with round microfiber cloths. The discs contain reservoirs for water or polish, which dispense liquid onto the cloths during cleaning.

Here's what you need to know about Everybot Edge:

  • Navigation based on gyroscope and sensors.
  • Remote control.
  • Possibility of manual cleaning of vertical surfaces.
  • 7 operating modes.
  • Operating time up to 100 min.
  • Cleaning area is about 50 sq.m.
  • Manual charging from the mains.

Thanks to the extending cloths, the robot is capable of cleaning along walls and baseboards effectively. Furthermore, this floor polisher is virtually silent, with a noise level of approximately 46 dB. Overall, the device is suitable for everyday home cleaning. While it won't tackle particularly stubborn stains, it's an excellent option for daily wet cleaning. Furthermore, this model costs less than $200.

It's also worth noting that EDGE is the only robotic floor polisher on the market that, thanks to its design and the special pads included, can polish floors, making it ideal for those who care about the condition of their parquet floors.

Video review of the model:

iLife W450

Third place goes to another unique robotic mopping system, capable of vacuuming dirty water into a separate tank while it's in use. This is the new iLife W450. Sales are scheduled to begin in November 2020. This robot is equipped with two tanks: one for clean water and one for dirty water. The cleaning process is as follows: clean water is sprayed onto the floor in front of a rotating roller, which then scrubs away dirt. The dirty water is then vacuumed into a separate tank, and the residual liquid is removed from the floor by a rubber squeegee. Tests show that cleaning quality is excellent.

An important difference between the new iLife W450 and its predecessor iLife W400 — the presence of a camera for navigation and control via a mobile app. This functionality was sorely lacking in the previous floor polisher to successfully compete in the market.

Briefly about the model:

  • Navigation based on camera, gyroscope and sensors.
  • Building a map of the premises.
  • Control via remote control and proprietary smartphone app.
  • 4 operating modes.
  • Electronic water supply regulation.
  • Operating time up to 80 min.
  • Cleaning area up to 60 sq.m.
  • The volume of the clean water tank is 0.85 l.
  • The capacity of the dirty water tank is 0.9 l.

This robot is quite good as a floor polisher. However, the price is around $250-$300.

iRobot Braava Jet m6

The 2020 robotic mop ranking continues with the flagship model from the renowned company iRobot. The model is called Braava Jet m6The highlight of this model is the ability to synchronize with a branded robot vacuum cleaner. iRobot Roomba s9+ And iRobot Roomba i7+This combination provides comprehensive dry and wet cleaning. However, it's not cheap: a floor polisher costs around $450, while flagship robot vacuums cost $700-$1,100.

In terms of cleaning technology, it falls short compared to the other three in the top 5. This is because this robotic mop sprays a special cleaning solution in front of itself during cleaning, then wipes the floor with a fixed cloth. This robot can't scrub away tough stains; it's more suited to general cleaning. Regarding the Braava Jet m6's features and functions, it's important to highlight:

  • Camera-based navigation.
  • Building a map of the premises.
  • Zoning of premises into rooms.
  • Control via mobile application.
  • Support for Google Assistant and Amazon voice assistants.
  • Automatic charging at the base.
  • Continued operation after recharging.
  • Operating time up to 90 minutes.
  • Cleaning area up to 30 sq.m.

Aside from advanced navigation, the features are limited for a premium model. And for the price, it's not the best value for money.

SWDK ZDG300

Well, our rating of robotic floor polishers for 2020 is closed by the model SWDK ZDG300 From Xiaomi. This robot is similar in design to the Hobot robot, except it doesn't vacuum; it only mops the floor using vibrating pads that are automatically moistened. The robot costs around $150-200.

  2. Building a map of the premises.
  3. Control via mobile application.
  4. Automatic charging.
  5. Operating time up to 120 min.
  6. Cleaning area up to 120 sq.m.
  7. Water tank capacity is 240 ml.

The model is quite interesting and worth the money.

If you order from Ali for $20-70, then yes!
I have a first-generation Hobot and have had no problems! Now it's even scrubbing the floors! It's time to think about a replacement 😀.

It's great to see my floor polisher featured in this review; I have the Everybot Edge. I love it and am glad I chose it. Firstly, it's a simple device, and secondly, it cleans well, even on stains and dried-on floors. It has cleaning modes, although I mostly use the auto mode. I recommend rinsing the cloth more often; be sure to turn it off first when using this floor polisher.
