The Best Xiaomi Robot Vacuum Cleaners of 2023The Best Xiaomi Robot Vacuum Cleaners of 2023

Hello to all readers of this site! This ranking features, in my opinion, the best Xiaomi robot vacuum cleaners of 2022-2023 (first quarter). I'll focus specifically on the Mijia factory, the company's main manufacturing facility, as this provides a more objective overview of Xiaomi robots. I've selected seven of the best models, varying in price and purpose, allowing you to find the perfect option for your needs and budget. Let's get started!

  • Cleaning area up to 150 sq.m.

Our rating opens with the only robot vacuum cleaner in the TOP-7 with only a camera for navigation - Xiaomi Mijia 2C.

There are three possible reasons for this. First, the camera is arguably more reliable and durable than lidar. Second, the robot vacuum cleaner is shorter than its lidar-equipped counterparts. It stands just 8 cm from the floor, while lidar models are 9.5 to 10 cm. This lower height allows the robot to crawl under lower furniture, increasing its cleaning range. Finally, unlike almost all lidar-equipped robot vacuums, camera-guided robot vacuums can clean behind curtains and drapes by pushing them against the wall. For many, this is a significant advantage.

So, speaking of the Xiaomi Mijia 2C, this $200 robot vacuum cleaner can store a map in its memory, allowing you to select cleaning zones and set no-go zones. The cleaning module features a six-beam side brush and a central brush with bristles and petals, followed by a nozzle with a cleaning cloth. The Xiaomi Mijia 2C can simultaneously vacuum and mop floors, boasting slightly increased suction power and excellent dry and wet cleaning performance. It also handles carpets well. The only drawback is that it's sensitive to black carpets. And the Chinese version costs $200. Anyone wary of lidar and looking for a budget Xiaomi robot vacuum cleaner, I definitely recommend this model.

  • Navigation: Lidar

There's been a lot of hype surrounding this robot, claiming it's the best value for the money. I don't entirely agree, and I explained why in my review. One reason is that, at the time of writing this review, the Mi Home app interface, when connecting this robot, was entirely in Chinese. It wasn't even in English, and this could cause significant inconvenience. This can be resolved by installing third-party software, which even allows you to install a creative voice pack. However, this isn't convenient or feasible for everyone.

Speaking of the robot, yes, it's a lidar robot. It stores multiple maps in its memory, navigates more accurately, and, again, all the important features are available when using the map, including customizing cleaning parameters for each room. The cleaning module consists of a side and center brush, followed by a nozzle with a cleaning cloth. The Mijia Vacuum 3C boasts the same truly enhanced suction power as the 2C, as well as good dry cleaning performance on hard floors. It has some issues cleaning carpets and removing dirt, as well as driving over black surfaces. Therefore, I recommend this robot only if dry cleaning on hard floors is a priority and you're willing to tinker with the settings to fix the Chinese interface. Overall, my subjective opinion is mixed, but many owners are satisfied with it, so I thought it worth mentioning in the top 7.

Continuing the rating of Xiaomi robot vacuum cleaners is a truly unique model on the market, which has no equal yet. This Xiaomi Mijia Ultra-Thin Robot Vacuum CleanerThe price drops to $220 during sales, but is usually still around $300.

Xiaomi Mijia Ultra-Thin Robot Vacuum Cleaner

This robot's navigation is handled by a tandem camera and a ToF sensor on the bumper, which detects and accurately navigates objects on the floor. But that's not the most important feature. The robot's main highlight is its height of 5.5 cm from the floor, one of the best on the market. Thanks to its ultra-thin body, the robot can clean under low furniture. The app offers all the useful features for working with the saved map.

Dirt collection is accomplished with a side and center brush. A floor cleaning attachment is also included. The Mijia Ultra-Thin Robot Vacuum Cleaner can vacuum and mop simultaneously, which is a plus. This robot's suction power is very strong, as confirmed in tests. The object detection system is also well-implemented, and the robot can navigate around common household obstacles. Dry cleaning is excellent, but carpet cleaning and scrubbing are a bit challenging. Surprisingly, despite its low height, the robot has good maneuverability and is resistant to black surfaces. Overall, it's best for cleaning hard surfaces, and if you need to clean under furniture, where it can fit, and if you need the robot to be gentler when handling objects. Definitely the best thin robot vacuum on the market!

Xiaomi Mijia Robot Vacuum-Mop Tangle-free Brush

  • Part number: STFCR01SZ

  • Dust collector 450 ml
  • Water tank 250 ml
  • Price: $350-$400 ($210-$240)

The next participant in the TOP-7 can confidently be called one of the best robot vacuum cleaners for collecting hair and fur. This is Xiaomi Mijia Robot Vacuum-Mop Tangle-free Brush, which already belongs to the middle price category and costs from $350 to $400.

Xiaomi Mijia Robot Vacuum-Mop Tangle-free Brush

The robot vacuum cleaner features a unique central brush with hidden blades that cut through hair and lint wrapped around the shaft as the brush rotates. This minimizes hair and lint buildup on the turbo brush, minimizing maintenance. This robot is equipped with a lidar system for navigation. In addition to the central brush, debris is also collected by a side brush. A damp cleaning pad is included. In terms of cleaning performance, the robot boasts increased suction power. Dry cleaning is also excellent, and the Xiaomi Mijia Robot Vacuum-Mop Tangle-Free Brush effectively picks up debris on both hard floors and carpets. Wet cleaning is more of a bonus feature, allowing it to collect dust and small debris behind the brush. The robot is unable to scrub dirt. Furthermore, the vacuum cleaner is sensitive to dark surfaces, avoiding them. This is worth considering. Overall, the robot is quite attractive, but only if its primary purpose is to collect hair and lint.

Xiaomi Mijia Vacuum Cleaner Pro

For $280-$300, this robot vacuum cleaner not only features lidar for navigation but also a bumper-mounted sensor system for accurately avoiding objects on the floor. And these aren't just sensitive sensors, but rather artificial intelligence. The robot doesn't just detect objects; it recognizes them, displaying corresponding icons on the map. This is a major advantage, even compared to similar products from Xiaomi.

The cleaning module consists of a side and central brush. A wet cleaning attachment is also included, allowing the Mijia Vacuum Cleaner Pro to vacuum and mop simultaneously. Its suction power is quite average, so it picks up debris well on hard floors, but it doesn't clean carpets perfectly. However, wet cleaning is less of a challenge; the robot vacuum cleaner removes dirt better and, when set to the maximum water flow, thoroughly wets the cleaning cloth. Another plus is that this model is resistant to black floors, moving smoothly across them. Overall, this robot is a great choice for cleaning hard floors, particularly due to its object recognition system.

Xiaomi Mijia Self-Cleaning Robot Vacuum-Mop Pro

  • Product code: STYTJO6ZHM
  • Navigation: Lidar
  • Rinsing napkins at the station
  • Suction power up to 3000 Pa
  • Li-Ion battery 5200 mAh
  • Cleaning area up to 200 sq.m.
  • Dust collector 450 ml.
  • Price: $500-$575 ($300 – $350).

In second place was Xiaomi Mijia Self-Cleaning Robot Vacuum-Mop ProIt already belongs closer to the premium price segment, as it costs from $500 to $575.

Xiaomi Mijia Self-Cleaning Robot Vacuum-Mop ProXiaomi Mijia Self-Cleaning Robot Vacuum-Mop Pro

Xiaomi Mijia Self-Cleaning Robot Vacuum-Mop Pro

The robot vacuum cleaner is equipped with a cloth rinsing station and two rotating discs with round cloths. This allows it to be positioned not simply as a wet and dry vacuuming robot, but as a mopping robot or at least a high-quality floor polisher. Another advantage of the robot is its D-shaped body, which allows it to better sweep debris into corners. The central brush is elongated. When combined with the side brush, it performs well for dry cleaning and carpet cleaning.

The suction power is quite standard, but considering the Mijia Self-Cleaning Robot Vacuum-Mop Pro is more suited to wet cleaning, this power is more than sufficient. And wet cleaning is also excellent. The cleaning pads are capable of scrubbing away dirt and, most importantly, providing high-quality wet cleaning over large areas, with periodic rinsing at the station. The only drawback is that the cleaning pads don't lift when driving onto carpets, which is worth considering. However, the robot is also comfortable on black surfaces, another plus. Overall, it's definitely one of the best robot vacuum cleaners with a cleaning station in 2022, if your budget is around $500.

Xiaomi Mijia Omni Robot Vacuum-Mop B101CN/1S

Well, the palm of victory in our rating is occupied by two practically identical models - Xiaomi Mijia Omni Robot Vacuum-Mop B101CN and the new Mijia Omni 1S.

Xiaomi Mijia Omni Robot Vacuum-Mop B101CNXiaomi Mijia Omni Robot Vacuum-Mop B101CN

Xiaomi Mijia Omni Robot Vacuum-Mop B101CN

The first one has already been reviewed, while the second one has just gone on sale with delivery from China, so I plan to do a review in the first quarter of 2023. The main difference between the models is that the new 1S has a detergent tank in the station, as well as an optional module for connecting the station to the sewer and water supply. Otherwise, the robots themselves appear to be identical. However, there is a price difference. The Mijia B101CN costs between $700 and $750 with delivery, while the OMNI 1S with a module for connecting to utility networks starts at $815 at the time of writing. Whether or not to pay extra for the new station is up to you. While the detergent tank is an advantage, connecting hoses won't be appropriate in every layout of a completed renovation, and that's a fact.

Otherwise, both robots are equipped with a station for rinsing the cleaning cloths and self-cleaning the dust bin. As far as I understand, the robots are completely identical. They are equipped with a lidar sensor and a sensor system for detecting objects on the floor. The cleaning module consists of a side and central brush, behind which are two rotating microfiber cloths. These cloths can automatically lift when entering carpets, allowing the robot to simultaneously perform dry and wet cleaning, leaving carpets dry and clean. Speaking of cleaning performance, the Mijia B101CN demonstrated high suction power and excellent dry cleaning performance on both hard floors and carpets. Wet cleaning is also well-implemented on this model. And equally important, the robot is resistant to black surfaces. So, overall, this is a very neat, versatile, and effective robot vacuum cleaner for high-quality cleaning of large areas. Without a doubt, the Mijia Omni B101CN and Omni 1S are the best Xiaomi robot vacuum cleaners of 2022-2023, and the choice between them should be based solely on whether you really need a connection to a sewer and water supply, or whether this option is simply unnecessary and not worth the extra cost.

So, we've reviewed the best Xiaomi robot vacuum cleaners of 2023 (at least the first half). I hope you were able to find the best option for your needs and budget from these seven models. If you feel we've overlooked any of the robots, please let us know in the comments which one and why you think it's worth considering given its price, compared to its competitors. On that note, I'd like to conclude this review. Thank you all for your attention. Happy shopping. Bye!
