Let's start with the unboxing. The Clever&Clean AQUA Light comes in two boxes. The first is a standard cardboard box. The second is more colorful, with a carrying handle and an image of the robot itself and the model's main features.

The box contains:

Appearance

Now let's take a look at the robot vacuum cleaner itself. It's very compact, measuring just 30 cm in diameter and 7.5 cm in height.

The front of the robot is equipped with a soft-touch mechanical bumper.

There is a touch control panel at the top, it looks stylish and modern.

The dust container is located under the top cover. It's a combination container. It features a small water tank with a sealed valve and a waste compartment. The water tank holds 150 ml, and the dust container holds 250 ml of dry waste. It features a dual filtration system with a pleated filter and a mesh filter. The filter is a HEPA class H12 filter.

The dust bin opens at the front for easy cleaning, but there's no protective flap to prevent debris from falling out. At the bottom, there are three water inlets for the cleaning cloth. Water is directed directly to the front of the cloth; there's no way to adjust the level of moisture.

Let's flip the body over and see how the Clever&Clean AQUA Light is designed from the bottom. We see two side brushes, spring-loaded wheels, and a central suction opening. The central turbo brush is missing.

A microfiber cloth is attached to the back. The platform does not have a water reservoir. The cloth is secured with Velcro and pockets on the front to prevent it from coming loose while riding.

The robot's on/off button is located at the top. Below it are arrows for manual control and setting the time on the display. Below the joystick are buttons for automatic cleaning, forced return to the base, and a button for setting the real-time clock. The time is set by pressing the up and down arrows.

The lower left button activates spot cleaning mode. In the middle is a timer cleaning button. The scheduled cleaning time is selected in a similar manner using the arrows. The lower right button disables the robot's voice notifications.

The app offers additional features, so we recommend connecting the robot vacuum to your Wi-Fi network. It must operate in the 2.4 GHz band. Connecting the robot to Wi-Fi is very simple and takes only a few minutes. Follow the instructions in the manual.

Additional features in the application:

1. Support for Alexa and Google Assistant voice assistants. You can also control the robot via Yandex.Alice by installing the TUYA app.
2. Enabling offline notifications on your smartphone.
3. Intensive cleaning mode. In this mode, the robot cleans the entire available area until the battery is depleted, and when the charge level reaches 15%, it automatically returns to the base.
4. Cleaning mode along the walls around the perimeter.
5. Quick cleaning mode for 30 minutes. This mode is suitable for cleaning a single room.
6. Setting up cleaning by time and days of the week with the ability to select a cleaning mode.
7. Suction power adjustment (2 modes: 1000 and 1500 Pa).
8. Search for a robot by sound signal.

The robot can also create a map of the room, but it doesn't store it in its memory. Its movement pattern is not chaotic, but rather zigzags thanks to an installed gyroscope.

I definitely liked the fact that the robot can be used for both dry and wet cleaning, and is controlled via a remote control, buttons on the body, and an app. It's suitable for both modern users and older people who might be unable to use a smartphone. We're deducting points only because the robot is better suited for cleaning hard floors. It doesn't clean as well on carpets.

Design and execution 8 out of 10. As mentioned earlier, the robot is compact yet maneuverable. It can navigate thresholds and clean under low furniture. This is a significant advantage of this model. It also has two side brushes and a modern touch control panel. We're deducting points only because it lacks a turbo brush. For example, in the higher-end version. Clever&Clean AQUA-Series 03 A replaceable central unit is provided, and the suction port can be replaced with a turbo brush. However, this solution was not implemented here, most likely to avoid increasing the height of the body and increasing the price of the robot vacuum.

Cleaning quality 8 out of 10. The robot does a good job of picking up debris on hard floors, as you've seen for yourself. Wet cleaning is also more effective. It's not afraid of black floors. We're deducting points for its poorer cleaning performance on carpets. As for suction power, it's acceptable for this price range.

Functionality 8 out of 10. In principle, it has all the necessary functions for keeping your home clean. Power control, magnetic strip motion limiter, several different operating modes, room mapping, and even the ability to select a desired cleaning time each day. The only missing features are the ability to save a cleaning map and adjust the water flow rate.

The robot is well-equipped, localized, has its own mobile app, and Clever&Clean itself has been in business for quite some time—its website states that it's been in business since 2011. There are plenty of positive reviews of their products online, and we've been testing their robots for years now and are convinced of the excellent build quality and reliability of the brand. They also offer warranty support and service, so there's no reason to deduct even one star.

So, according to our estimates, it comes out to 49 out of 60 points. The result is quite good. The robot is definitely worth purchasing.
