Atvel G9: A powerful cordless vacuum cleaner with an effective main nozzle

Hello to all readers of this site! In this review, we'll be looking at a rather interesting cordless vacuum cleaner from Atvel. The model is called the Atvel G9. Its key feature is the main nozzle, which features two differently designed rollers that rotate in opposite directions, drawing debris into the suction port. Additionally, the Atvel G9 boasts high suction power (up to 170 AW), two types of charging stations, and a 6-stage filtration system. Consequently, such a comprehensive package comes at a hefty price tag, considering the average price of an upright vacuum. The Atvel G9 costs $300, placing it in the premium segment. Below, I'll take a detailed look at and test the Atvel G9, after which I'll share my opinion on whether this upright vacuum is worth buying. So, let's get started!
Equipment
The Atvel G9 arrived in this branded box:
It contains:
- Floor-standing charging station with accessories for storing attachments.
- Extension tube.
- Main nozzle.
- Power adapter.
- Wall holder with fasteners.
- Operating instructions and quick start guide from the manufacturer.
- Nozzle for cleaning mattresses and upholstered furniture.
- Brush with soft bristles.
- Flexible extension tube.
- Crevice nozzle.
Overall, the package is good. In my opinion, the only thing missing is spare filters. However, you can optionally purchase a wet cleaning module, which attaches to the main nozzle for simultaneous dry cleaning and floor mopping.
Appearance
Now let's take a look at the Atvel G9's design. Let's start with the main unit, which looks like this:
At the end there is a HEPA-12 class outlet filter, in front of which a foam filter is additionally installed.
The power button is highlighted in red. Next to it is a mechanical mode switch. Opposite the button is an informative OLED display that displays the battery percentage, the selected mode, and various status messages. For example, it tells you that the dust bin is full and needs to be emptied.
In my opinion, the control button layout is not very convenient, as it's impossible to operate the vacuum cleaner with one hand. You have to use your other hand, as the control panel is positioned out of reach.
The Atvel G9's battery isn't removable, which isn't ideal. But at least you can charge the vacuum three different ways: by plugging it directly into the adapter, by placing the main unit on the floor station, or by hanging it on the wall mount. That's a plus.
Let's get back to the main unit. For a long time, I couldn't figure out how to remove the dust container. I couldn't find any release buttons, and I couldn't twist it, so I even had to read the instructions. And then the solution struck me—how could it be so convenient? Simply pull the container upward.
The dust container holds up to 500 ml of dry waste. The container's maximum fill level is marked on the flask. Inside is another HEPA10 filter for micron dust fractions. This is followed by a cyclone for filtering large debris and a multi-cyclone with a metal mesh for dust separation. A total of six filtration stages.
Let's get the Atvel G9 ready for use. The extension tube and main nozzle are secured with mechanical fasteners, as are the flexible hose and upholstery nozzle.
This is what the vacuum cleaner looks like when fully assembled:
Well, now let's move on to the review of the attachments, of which there are 4 pieces in the set.
Let's start with the main floor nozzle. It features a swivel joint, which increases maneuverability. Note the rollers; they are additionally protected with fabric to prevent scratching of the floor surface during operation. This is a very clever design, something I haven't seen before in any upright vacuum cleaners I've reviewed.
And here's what the two rollers look like:
One is fluffy and better suited for cleaning hard floors, while the other has bristles for more effective cleaning of carpets. Two LED panels are located at the front to illuminate the cleaning area, which can be useful in dimly lit areas. Above the brushes is a motor that drives the rollers. The roller release system is very convenient: simply press and hold two buttons and pull them toward you.
As for the upholstery and mattress cleaning attachment, the brush is also easily removed to remove tangled hair and fur. The brush itself is made of bristles and petals, like most robotic vacuum cleaners.
The soft-bristled nozzle has a height-adjustable brush bar. It doesn't have a locking mechanism, just like the crevice tool, which looks quite standard.
I'd also like to show you the floor-mounted charging station for the vacuum cleaner and storage of its attachments. I really liked this solution. Two attachment storage accessories can be attached to each side. It's a very convenient solution, eliminating the need to worry about where to store your attachments.
All accessories are located in one place. The battery is charged while the main unit is installed, which is very convenient.
In principle, the battery is charged on the wall holder, without the need to manually connect the plug to the socket.
We've examined the exterior. Overall, the build quality is above average. There are no particular complaints about the vacuum cleaner.
Technical specifications
The main characteristics of the Atvel G9, as declared by the manufacturer:
- Power consumption 535 W.
- Suction power up to 170 AW (29000 Pa).
- Li-Ion battery 2500 mAh, 28.8 V.
- Dust collector capacity is 500 ml.
- Operating time up to 60 minutes in minimum power mode.
- Weight when fully assembled: 2.9 kg.
- Noise level 73-82 dB.
Overall, the specifications are quite standard for this price segment. I'd only like to highlight the weight of the vacuum cleaner when fully assembled. The main unit itself weighs 1,594 grams, the extension tube weighs 329 grams, and the main nozzle weighs 958 grams. The total weight of the vacuum cleaner when fully assembled is 2,881 grams, which is also in line with most similar vacuum cleaners. Moreover, with the crevice tool installed, the weight is only 1,637 grams.
Testing
A detailed video review with all the tests has already been prepared and published on the channel. You can watch the video:
Opening hours
And finally, let's move on to the tests. First, I checked the Atvel G9's runtime at maximum power with the main nozzle attached, which also uses power to rotate the rollers and illuminate the cleaning area. In maximum mode, the Atvel G9 lasted just over 11.5 minutes, similar to most similar vacuum cleaners. So, I have no real complaints about this vacuum cleaner.
Noise level
As for noise levels, at minimum power, it ranges from 73-74 dB. In automatic mode, it rises to 78 dB, and at maximum power, the peak was 82 dB.
The noise level is standard for a cordless vacuum cleaner with increased suction power.
Quality of waste collection
Now let's test how well the Atvel G9 picks up floor debris. I scattered various types of debris on the laminate flooring: hair, fur, dust, cat food, and litter. The Atvel G9 picks up floor debris well. The only issue I have is that the LED panels are located outside the body, which makes it difficult to pick up debris along the baseboards and in the corners. The rollers simply don't physically reach these areas. Even if you run the nozzle along the baseboard, the rollers still pick up debris. However, this cordless vacuum cleaner is incapable of picking up debris in the corners, and that's my first criticism.
Here's the condition of the rollers after collecting debris. As you can see, the rear bristle roller bears the bristles. However, it's easy to clean off any trapped hair and fur. Most of the debris is collected in the dust collector. Test passed!
When it comes to cleaning carpets, the Atvel G9 also performed well. It effectively removes debris of various textures from carpet.
One important feature of this vacuum cleaner is worth mentioning: the nozzle is equipped with a special sensor that automatically increases suction power when it detects a buildup of debris. This feature is activated when switching to automatic mode. It allows for efficient use of battery power and increases suction power only where needed.
I'd also like to point out how well the mattress and upholstery cleaning attachment works. I used it to clean the upholstery of a sofa, and afterward, a fair amount of hair and dust ended up in the dust bin, even though the sofa looked clean.
Suction power
And as for suction power, the Atvel G9 is a truly powerful cordless vacuum. It can suck up debris even from 10mm gaps. Test passed!
Let's sum it up
The Atvel G9 was thoroughly reviewed and tested. Considering the price and my experience after testing, here are the advantages I found:
- A universal main nozzle with two different rollers for any type of floor covering.
- Good quality of waste collection.
- Increased suction power.
- Complete set.
- Availability of two bases for storing and charging the vacuum cleaner.
- High quality filtration system.
- Illumination of the area to be cleaned.
- An optional wet cleaning module is available.
- Full warranty support from the manufacturer.
As for the disadvantages, I would like to point out the following:
- When operating a vacuum cleaner, you have to use your other hand.
- Non-removable battery.
- The price is above the market average.
Overall, the criticisms may be minor for most people. In any case, the advantages are far more significant and outweigh the disadvantages, so I can confidently recommend the Atvel G9.
On that note, I'd like to end this review. If you have any questions, please ask them in the comments. Happy shopping, everyone. Bye!

What "optional wet cleaning module" are you talking about with the Atvel G9? Where can I find it?
