Hello readers! I received a robot vacuum cleaner from Eufy by Anker for review. The model is called the RoboVac G30 Hybrid. This isn't the first Eufy robot I've had the pleasure of testing. I previously reviewed the smaller model in the line. RoboVac G10 Hybrid and the flagship RoboVac L70 HybridThe G30 is the mid-range model in the lineup and boasts a combined gyroscope and optical sensor for navigation, dry and wet cleaning functions, real-time room mapping, and useful features in the proprietary mobile app. Below, I'll take a detailed look at and test the RoboVac G30 Hybrid, after which I'll express my opinion on whether this robot vacuum cleaner (priced at around $200) is worth buying. So, let's get started!

Overall, the RoboVac G30 Hybrid's build quality is above average, and I have no complaints about the robot. The plastic is high-quality, and there were no loose or uneven joints.

Technical specifications

Key Features of the Eufy RoboVac G30 Hybrid:

  • Li-Ion battery 2600 mAh.
  • Suction power up to 2000 Pa.
  • Operating time up to 100 min.
  • Dust collector capacity is 450 ml.
  • Water tank capacity is 130 ml.
  • Passability of obstacles up to 16 mm.
  • Dimensions: 325*73 mm.

Overall, the characteristics are quite standard, I can’t highlight anything special.

Functional capabilities

Let's move on to a review of the features. The RoboVac G30 Hybrid is controlled via a proprietary mobile app. Connecting the robot to the network is quite simple; just follow the manufacturer's prompts.

Control via appControl via app

Control via app

The robot displays data from its most recent cleaning on the main control panel. If you tap the "Map" section, you can view the map the robot has created. It doesn't store this map in memory, but it does save it in the cleaning log. It's also important to note that the robot creates a map of the room in real time if you access this section during cleaning.

Application functionsApplication functions

Application functions

The robot's main functions are displayed at the bottom of the screen. These include adjustable suction power and an automatic power boost when entering carpets. You can also activate automatic cleaning mode, force the robot to return to the charging base, initiate spot cleaning, and set up a scheduled cleaning by selecting the time, days of the week, and desired suction power. You can also view a cleaning log, which stores information about each cleaning performed, including a map.

In the settings section, you can share control with other users, adjust the volume and language of voice notifications (Russian is not available), enable the robot's search by sound signal, initiate manual control, and set a do not disturb mode at a specified time. Additionally, you can enable a mode to continue cleaning after recharging at the base, monitor the status of consumables, and update the firmware if necessary.

That's all the functionality of the RoboVac G30 Hybrid. It has all the necessary features for a gyroscope-based robot. The only thing missing is electronic adjustment of the water flow to the cleaning pad. It's worth noting that this model supports voice control via Yandex.Alice, which is a plus.

Testing

A detailed video review with all the tests has already been prepared and published on the channel. I recommend watching it:

Navigation

First, let's test the robot vacuum's navigation in a room with obstacles. The RoboVac G30 Hybrid traverses the entire accessible area in a serpentine pattern, then switches to perimeter cleaning mode and returns to the charging station. The robot vacuum didn't get stuck on the dryer, but it also didn't get stuck around the box or chair legs. Navigation is standard.

Navigating within a room

As for navigation within the home, the robot vacuum cleaner similarly first traverses the entire accessible area in a serpentine pattern, then makes a perimeter check run and returns to the base for charging, even though the map freezes while it's traversing the perimeter.

Navigation within the home

Thanks to the combination of a gyroscope and optical sensor, the mapping accuracy is incredibly high, so navigation is flawless! There were no uncleaned areas left, the cleaning speed was high, and the test was a success!

Suction power

The RoboVac G30 Hybrid's suction power is slightly above average. It managed to suck up a small amount of debris from a 4mm gap, while most similar devices can only clean a 2mm gap. This power is sufficient for maintaining cleanliness in a home environment.

Dry cleaning of laminate flooring

The quality of debris collection on hard surfaces is also above average. The robot picked up all debris from the floor, including fur and hair, and even swept corners better than most round robots.

The bulk of the debris was collected in the dust bin. The central and side brushes were tangled with fur and hair. Test passed!

Cleaning the carpet

The same debris was scattered on the carpet, and the RoboVac G30 Hybrid cleaned it without any problems. The carpet cleaning performance was also above average.

Wet cleaning

And there are no complaints about wet cleaning. The robot was able to remove slightly dried-on dirt from shoes without leaving any streaks. Only a small strip along the baseboard remained unwashed due to the design of the cloth and the robot's construction. This area is beyond the capabilities of all the robot vacuums we reviewed.

Obstacle clearance

The robot can easily navigate 15 mm thresholds, but it struggles with 20 mm thresholds. Its maneuverability isn't the best among robotic vacuum cleaners, but the manufacturer actually claims a maneuverability of no more than 16 mm.

Driving on dark surfaces

But the robot is not afraid of dark surfaces and drives on them freely, which is a plus!

Noise level

Finally, we measured the RoboVac G30 Hybrid's noise level in different modes. At minimum power, it ranged from 56-58 dB, at medium power, it reached 62 dB, and at maximum power, the peak was 67.6 dB. Overall, the noise level is standard for a robot vacuum.

Let's sum it up

The Eufy RoboVac G30 Hybrid has been thoroughly reviewed and tested. our evaluation system he managed to gain 53 out of 100 pointsThe result is good for a gyroscopic robot. And for its price range, it's not bad either.

Overall rating of robot vacuum cleaners tested on robovac.washerhouse.com: https://robovac.washerhouse.com/en/rejtingi/robovac-obshhij-rejting-robotov-pylesosov-robo.html.

I'll share my thoughts on the RoboVac G30 Hybrid after thoroughly testing it. I liked the following:

  1. Good navigation and high accuracy of map construction.
  2. Simultaneous dry and wet cleaning.
  3. The suction power is slightly above average.
  4. Possibility of limiting the areas of magnetic tape cleaning.
  5. The quality of dry and wet cleaning is above average.
  6. Good build quality.
  7. The robot vacuum cleaner is not afraid of dark floor coverings.
  8. Complete set.
  9. All important functions are provided, including automatic power increase on carpets and control via Yandex.Alice.

As for any shortcomings, no particularly serious ones were found. I can only highlight the following:

  1. The robot cannot cross 2 cm thresholds.
  2. There is no electronic regulation of water supply.
  3. There are no advanced features when working with the card, considering the price.

Overall, the robot vacuum cleaner left a positive impression. Regarding the last comment, for $200 there are robots with camera-based navigation, which can save a map to its memory and zone it into rooms, which later opens the possibility of setting virtual walls and no-go zones. The Eufy RoboVac G30 Hybrid doesn't have this capability. However, for those looking for a good robot vacuum for a small space and who don't need these features, this device is quite attractive for the price. I couldn't find any particular reason not to recommend it. The robot does its job well.

On that note, I'd like to end this review. If you have any questions, please ask them in the comments! Thank you all for your attention. Happy shopping. Bye!
