Hello to all readers of the site! I received another robot vacuum cleaner for review: the Liectroux i5 Pro. This model costs around $250-$300 at the time of writing this video. I've previously tested smart devices from Liectroux. This is a robot vacuum cleaner with lidar. Liectroux ZK901 and a robot window cleaner Liectroux WS-1080Next, I'll take a detailed look at the design of their first handheld vacuum cleaner, the Liectroux i5 Pro, how it performs at its core function, and most importantly, whether it's worth the money. So, let's get started!

Equipment

The Liectroux i5 Pro package includes:

  1. The main unit of the vacuum cleaner.

In principle, all the necessary accessories are included for comfortable use of the vacuum cleaner, but ideally, it would also come with a branded cleaning agent. Let's move on.

Appearance

Let's take a look at the Liectroux i5 Pro's appearance. The vacuum cleaner is black and features two tanks—one for dirty water and one for clean water.

The main floor cleaning brush is mounted under a transparent plastic cover with a rubber squeegee. It features a soft bristle roller with more flexible red bristles hidden inside. This is an interesting design; we'll see how effective it is in testing. The replaceable roller brush is equipped with flexible bristles suitable for cleaning carpets.

By the way, underneath, next to the brush, there is a UV lamp for disinfecting the surface; we will talk about this later.

The dirty water tank is located at the front, above the roller. The clean water tank is located at the rear, closer to the handle.

Let's take a look at both tanks. The clean water tank holds 750 ml. The top is marked with a maximum water level mark, as well as a line indicating the maximum level of detergent. A water filtration system is installed inside the lid to prevent any particles from entering the washing system.

The dirty water tank is a bit more complex. A filtration system using a foam and mesh filter is installed on top. The instructions claim the sponge-shaped filter is HEPA, but this isn't the case. It's simply a piece of foam. The top of the tank is a float. The base contains an additional filter that traps larger debris. The tank itself has a convenient carrying handle. It also has a visible mark indicating the maximum dirty water level, allowing you to visually assess the tank's condition.

The next component of the wet/dry vacuum cleaner is the handle, which houses the control buttons. There are four buttons in total: the power on/off switch, the UV lamp switch, the self-cleaning function on the station, and a finger-friendly button for forced water flow to the roller.

The last thing I'd like to highlight is the display on the body. It's conveniently located and displays the battery charge, the status of the reservoirs, and whether the UV lamp is on or off.

Overall, the design is quite convenient and practical. The build quality is between budget and mid-range, as with other Liectroux appliances.

Testing

A detailed video review with all the tests has already been prepared and published on our channel. We recommend watching the video:

Noise level

First, let's measure the noise level of the Liectroux i5 Pro. Since it has one power mode, the noise level in this mode fluctuates between 73-75 dB, which is quite acceptable.

Quality of cleaning

What's more important is to test how effectively this handheld vacuum cleaner cleans floors and removes dirt. There will be several tests, ranging from simple to more complex.

Here's how the Liectroux i5 Pro cleans a virtually bare floor, comparable to everyday cleaning:

Everyday floor cleaningEveryday floor cleaning

Everyday floor cleaning

Water doesn't flood the floor too much, even if you force the water flow using the button on the handle. It doesn't leave streaks or puddles, which is a plus.

Now let's add some small household debris to the floor. And you can see that the vacuum cleaner does a good job of picking up debris from the floor.

Complicating the test by scattering fur and hair on the floor also presents no problems for the Liectroux i5 Pro. The debris immediately falls into the dirty water tank, while the brush stays clean and doesn't smear debris across the floor.

Collection of wool and garbageCollection of wool and garbage

But the first difficulties are already arising with the sand. The vacuum cleaner has collected most of the sand from the tiles, but a small amount remains in the grout, which the vacuum cleaner is unable to extract.

Well, I'll try repeating the test from the commercial by cracking a raw egg on the floor and adding a little sauce. I wonder if the Liectroux i5 Pro can effectively clean fresh stains.

The main part is assembled, but you can see that the brush is getting clogged and the vacuum cleaner is starting to smear the mixture across the floor, so I don't recommend using this machine for this purpose. The problem is that the water flow isn't very intense, and therefore, the amount of dirt isn't rinsed and forced into the dirty water compartment.

Look at the condition of the dirty water tank after all the tests:

The filter contains large debris, while the flask contains only liquid. This will make cleaning the reservoir easier. There's no point in continuing testing in this state, so I'll tell you about the Liectroux i5 Pro's self-cleaning feature.

Self-cleaningSelf-cleaning

Self-cleaning

To do this, rinse the dirty water tank, fill the second tank with clean water, place the vacuum cleaner on the station, and activate the self-cleaning function. This process takes about 30 seconds. During self-cleaning, clean water from the tank flows into the system, rinsing not only the cleaning roller but also the suction channel. After self-cleaning, the roller was indeed clean. You can continue testing.

The next test is the most challenging, in my opinion, and it will demonstrate just how effectively the Liectroux i5 Pro removes dirt. I spilled coffee and sauces on the stand, and walked around in dirty shoes. I left it all to dry for 24 hours. We'll see if the device can handle such a challenging task.

And you can see that it managed to completely remove dried stains from the stand without leaving streaks. The test was successful!

The only criticism I have about the Liectroux i5 Pro is that, like most other wet/dry vacuum cleaners, it doesn't clean the small area along the baseboard.

Finally, let's check out the carpet roller brush. Personally, I don't quite understand the logic of using these types of vacuum cleaners on carpets; they'll just wet the carpet and make it worse. But since it's advertised, it's worth testing. The Liectroux i5 Pro was able to pick up all the dirt from the carpet, but it did smear some of the dust, as I mentioned. Therefore, I wouldn't use this type of vacuum cleaner for carpets. Although, using a special cleaner might make sense.

After each self-cleaning session, you can charge the vacuum cleaner. It charges conveniently when docked to the charging station. There's no need to manually connect the charger to the vacuum cleaner.

Yes, the last thing I'd like to show you is the vertical parking feature. It's a very convenient solution: you can move the vacuum cleaner into an upright position during cleaning, for maintenance or to take a break from the process.

Let's sum it up

The Liectroux i5 Pro has been thoroughly reviewed and tested. I'll share my personal opinion on this wet/dry vacuum cleaner.

Advantages of this model:

  1. Works well in removing dried stains.
  2. The water supply level is moderate and the vacuum cleaner will not damage wooden flooring.
  3. A capacious tank for clean water, it is enough for the entire cleaning cycle until the battery runs out.
  4. Self-cleaning function at the station.
  5. Good equipment.
  6. UV lamp for surface disinfection.
  7. Availability of a brush for cleaning carpets.
  8. Vertical parking.

As for the shortcomings, the following were found:

  1. No HEPA filter.
  2. Avoid wetting the floor with plenty of clean water, which is necessary for collecting liquids, sauces and various liquids.
  3. Only one operating mode.
  4. It doesn't wash along the baseboard.

Ultimately, the Liectroux i5 Pro wet/dry vacuum cleaner is decent for the price, does its job well, and looks impeccable, but I wouldn't call it the best. The main reason is that the water flow to the roller brush isn't very generous, and there's no such thing as a maximum setting. So, if you're working in challenging conditions, the vacuum may struggle.

But in everyday life, you rarely need to pick up broken eggs from the floor or spilled sauces, so if you like the product, read the reviews and, if there are no more important comments, you may want to consider purchasing it.

On this note, I'd like to end this review. Thank you all for your attention. Happy shopping. Bye!
