Although the company is young and there are not many product reviews, there is confirmed information that Muben robot vacuum cleaners are assembled at the 3iRobotix factory. This factory also assembles robot vacuum cleaners that are subsequently sold under the brand. Viomi, so it's safe to say the quality is the same, above average on the market. The Muben Smart Bot is the entry-level model in the line. The robot features a gyroscope for navigation, dry and wet cleaning functions, and is controlled via a mobile app. At the time of writing, this review costs $180. Below, I'll show you how this robot works, what features and functions it boasts, and most importantly, how it cleans. So, let's get started!

Equipment

The robot is packaged in a branded box like this:

In addition to the vacuum cleaner itself, it contains:

1. Charging base with compartment for storing excess cord.
2. Power adapter.
3. A plastic mat for the docking station that will protect the floor from getting wet after the robot has completed wet cleaning.
4. Wet cleaning nozzle with a microfiber cloth installed.
5. Brief and complete operating instructions in Russian.
6. Replaceable silicone turbo brush.
7. Two spare side brushes.
8. Remote control with batteries.
9. Brush for cleaning the dust collector and central brush.

The package is not bad, but to be completely happy it lacks a spare HEPA filter and cloth, as well as a movement limiter.

Appearance

Now let's take a look at the robot vacuum cleaner itself. It's round and matte black. The body is 78 mm high. On the top of the body are two control buttons and a light indicator that indicates the robot's status.

The container is located on top, under the lid. It's a combined type, meaning it has a separate waste compartment and a water tank. On top, you'll find a manufacturer's sticker for proper container use. The lid also opens at the top, revealing a HEPA filter. The filtration system is triple-layered, with a foam filter and a mesh filter for pre-cleaning the air.

The dust container holds up to 400 ml of dry waste. The water filler is located on top. The tank holds up to 200 ml of water, which seems realistic. Water flows through two openings at the bottom of the cloth. The cloth's wetting level can be adjusted in the app.

Let's take a look at the Muben Smart Bot's underside. It has two side brushes, each with a three-pronged design and quick-release. The central brush has bristles and petals, and one side can be removed for cleaning hair and pet hair.

This brush can be replaced with a silicone one.

Its color and structure resemble the scraper rollers installed in the iRobot. This type of brush is less likely to tangle with hair and fur, making it easier to clean. One end of the brush cap is also removable for cleaning away tangled hair and fur.

The cloth is attached to the nozzle using a special pocket and Velcro. The nozzle is installed from below quite easily.

It is worth noting that this model has 4 fall protection sensors installed at the front bottom.

Overall, the specifications are standard. The only notable feature is the increased suction power of 2600 Pa. We'll test the robot's suction power during testing.

Functional capabilities

The Muben Smart Bot's core functionality is contained in its proprietary mobile app. It can be downloaded using the QR code in the instructions. In my case, installation was straightforward, and the robot connected to my Wi-Fi network quickly.

The main dashboard displays the most recently generated map. This robot vacuum creates a map of the room in real time. In the settings, you can change the robot's name, enable automatic power boost when entering carpets, calibrate the sensors, check the status of consumables, and update the firmware if necessary.

The main control panel displays the main functions. Here, you can force the robot to return to the base, start and pause cleaning, adjust suction power and cleaning cloth wetting, control the robot manually, select perimeter cleaning mode, spot cleaning mode, view cleaning history, and set up scheduled cleaning.

Let's take a closer look at this last option. You can choose not only the time and day of the week, but also the cleaning mode, as well as the power and dampness of the cleaning cloth. In the cleaning history, you can view data from past cleanings, including how the robot has mapped them.

The Muben Smart Bot is also controlled via a remote control. It includes features such as scheduled cleaning, time setting, manual control, power adjustment, perimeter cleaning mode, and forced return to the charging base. The only missing feature is a local cleaning mode.

Navigation

First, let's check how the Muben Smart Bot navigates a room with obstacles. It didn't get stuck on the dryer, which is a plus. However, this robot vacuum cleaner doesn't clean around chair legs or boxes. It's also worth noting that the Muben Smart Bot sweeps the entire accessible area in a serpentine pattern, but doesn't perform an additional perimeter sweep after completing the main cleaning cycle. The map generated in the app isn't precise, but overall, the room's geometry matches the real one.

Now let's look at how the Muben Smart Bot navigates the entire house. In our case, this includes five rooms with a total cleaning area of ​​34 square meters.

It was able to cover the entire available area and cleaned in 61 minutes. While the speed isn't particularly high, the robot repeatedly returned to areas it had already cleaned. However, there were no uncleaned areas, which is the key factor in this test. However, it combined the rooms on the map into one large room during the process, so the mapping isn't accurate. Ultimately, the navigation is quite standard for a robot vacuum with a gyroscope, but the mapping needs further improvement or even be removed entirely, as was done in Roborock E4.

Suction power

In terms of suction power, the Muben Smart Bot successfully removed debris from a 2 mm deep crevice. It can't reach deeper crevices. However, even this level of suction power is still quite impressive, even better than many similar products in its segment. This power is more than sufficient for automatically maintaining a clean home.

Dry cleaning of laminate flooring

Now let's test how the Muben Smart Bot can pick up various debris from laminate flooring. The dry cleaning performance is excellent, leaving debris only in corners where round robot vacuums can't reach.

Cleaning the carpet

The same debris was scattered on the carpet. The robot vacuum cleaner did an excellent job, completely removing the debris. It is recommended for cleaning carpets.

Wet cleaning

Wet cleaning is also high-quality. The Muben Smart Bot is capable of removing dried-on dirt from laminate flooring. The only drawback is that, like many other robots, it doesn't quite reach the baseboards, so it did leave one mark on the stand.

However, this model is suitable for delicate wet cleaning and dusting. The tank is sufficient for the entire cleaning cycle, i.e., 60-80 square meters, depending on the selected mode.

Obstacle clearance

This model also has excellent maneuverability. It can overcome thresholds as low as 2 cm, as stated by the manufacturer. So, the robot can easily navigate medium-pile carpets.

Driving on dark surfaces

Muben Smart Bot doesn't recognize dark surfaces as height differences, so it can easily clean dark tiles, laminate, or dark carpets, which is a plus.

Noise level

Let's check the robot's noise level in different modes. At minimum power, it reaches 64 dB, averages up to 66 dB, and at maximum power, the noise level is around 68 dB. Although the manufacturer claims a noise level of 72 dB, the robot was quieter in my measurements.

What can I say about this robot vacuum cleaner after thoroughly reviewing and testing it? I was definitely pleased with the build quality, as well as the wet and dry cleaning performance. I also appreciate the strong suction power and the ability to control it not only via the app but also the remote control. This robot has good obstacle clearance, and its ability to withstand dark surfaces is a significant plus. It's also great that it has replaceable center brushes. And of course, the ability to simultaneously dry and wet clean is a plus. The robot vacuums and mops the floor simultaneously.

Cons:

1. Low accuracy of map construction.
2. There is no movement limiter included.
3. The battery is weak for such power.

The drawbacks aren't critical and might be insignificant to some. Overall, I liked this robot vacuum cleaner and, for the price, it's a reasonable option for a home of around 60 square meters. In this case, the robot will handle automatic cleaning of the house.
