iLIFE A80 Pro: A stylish robot vacuum cleaner for dry and wet cleaning

Hello everyone! Welcome to the channel! I've received the new iLIFE A80 PRO robot vacuum cleaner for review. It costs between $150 and $200. The robot features a gyroscope for navigation, dry and wet cleaning functions, and can be controlled not only by the remote control but also via the iLIFE mobile app. Below, I'll review and test the iLIFE A80 Pro in detail, after which I'll express my opinion on whether this robot vacuum is worth buying. So, let's get started!
Equipment
Let's start with the package contents. The box contains:
- The robot vacuum cleaner itself with the dust collector installed.
- Charging base.
- Power adapter.
- Operating instructions with warranty card.
- Water tank with microfiber cloth installed.
- Spare napkin.
- Two spare side brushes.
- Spare HEPA filter.
- Remote control with batteries.
- Brush for cleaning the dust collector.
The set is complete, the only thing missing is a movement limiter in the form of a virtual wall or magnetic tape.
Appearance
Now let's take a look at the iLIFE A80 PRO's design. It's round, black and blue, and stands 8 cm from the floor.
At the top of the body there is a control panel with a display:
The dust container is removable from the rear. It holds up to 450 ml of dry waste. A HEPA filter is installed inside. The filtration system in the container itself has a honeycomb structure, just like the flagship model. iLIFE A10s, which was discussed earlier.
A water tank can be installed in place of the dust collector. It holds 300 ml of water. There's also a small compartment for sweeping up dry debris with the brushes during wet cleaning. I don't see a pump inside, but there is a tube that connects to the main unit of the robot. The pump is most likely installed in the robot itself, as the app has electronic water flow control. The cleaning cloth is attached to the base with Velcro and elastic bands.
Let's turn the robot over and examine its underside. It has two side brushes and a central brush with bristles and petals. The central brush has a removable cap on one side to remove tangled hair and fur. Three fall protection sensors are located at the front of the robot.
Overall, the build quality is average, as is the price segment.

The technical characteristics are quite standard, I can’t highlight anything special.
Functional capabilities
The iLIFE A80 PRO can be controlled using the proprietary mobile app, the remote control, or the buttons on the device. The most advanced features are available when controlled via smartphone.
Download the app using the QR code in the instructions or on the robot itself (the sticker is located on the bottom). Installation is straightforward; simply follow the manufacturer's instructions.
In the iLIFE app, the robot creates a real-time map of the room but doesn't store it in memory. In the main settings, you can change the robot vacuum's name, set up scheduled cleaning, view cleaning history, track the status of consumables, smoothly adjust the suction power, select the water flow rate per cloth, select the cleaning mode, and enable automatic power boost when entering carpets. You can also enable the robot's sound alert and reset the settings to factory defaults.
From the main control panel, you can return the robot to the charging base, start automatic cleaning mode, and enable manual control of the robot vacuum. With manual control, you can manually direct the iLIFE A80 PRO to the desired cleaning area, set maximum suction power, enable perimeter cleaning, spot cleaning, or schedule cleaning. These are all the robot's capabilities.
Using the remote control, you can manually direct the robot vacuum cleaner to the desired location, start and pause the cleaning cycle, select one of three operating modes, force the robot to return to the charging base, adjust the suction power, and activate an additional classic mode, which the manufacturer recommends for cleaning carpets.
The robot can also be controlled using buttons on the body. The control panel includes functions such as scheduling, classic cleaning mode, return to base, spot cleaning, and automatic mode.
Testing
I recommend watching a detailed review and test of the iLIFE A80 PRO in a separate video:
Navigation
First, let's test the iLIFE A80 PRO's navigation in a room with obstacles. The robot traversed the entire accessible area in a serpentine pattern. It didn't get stuck around the chair legs or the box. It didn't get stuck on the clothes dryer, but it didn't get stuck around the perimeter after traversing the entire accessible area. Overall, the navigation is standard for robots with a gyroscope. The device passed the test.
Let's make the task more challenging and test how the iLIFE A80 PRO can navigate the entire house. In our case, that's five rooms with a total usable area of approximately 34 square meters.
Initially, when moving from one room to another, the map became confused and began to rebuild itself, but after that, the robot was able to fully rebuild the map and cover the entire available area. The map was slightly off, but the room geometry was correct. The iLIFE A80 PRO cleaned in just 33 minutes, which is a good speed. During testing, it was also noted that the robot moved quite quickly across the floor. This test was passed successfully.
Suction power
As for the iLIFE A80 PRO's suction power, this robot vacuum cleaner can suck up debris from crevices no deeper than 2 mm, which is quite standard. This power is sufficient for everyday home cleaning.
Dry cleaning of laminate flooring
Now let's test how the iLIFE A80 PRO picks up debris on laminate flooring. We scattered fur, hair, grains, and ground coffee in the corners to simulate dust.
After cleaning, debris remained only in the corners, which is normal for round robotic vacuum cleaners. Most of the debris was collected in the dust bin, and some hair was tangled around the side and center brushes.
Cleaning the carpet
The same debris was scattered on the carpet. The iLIFE A80 PRO cleaned it quite well, leaving no hair, pet hair, or small debris behind. This robot is recommended for cleaning carpets.
Wet cleaning
The next test will show whether the robot can remove dirt from the floor. It's a bit dry, and you can see that the robot vacuum isn't doing a very good job of removing the dirt. It did remove some of it, but the stand isn't completely clean.
The iLIFE A80 PRO's wet cleaning function is more suitable for gently wiping floors of dust and light dirt. The tank is large enough to last the entire cleaning cycle.
Obstacle clearance
The manufacturer claims a maximum cross-country ability of 15 mm. And indeed, this is true. The robot can cross thresholds of 10 and 15 mm. However, it can't handle a 20 mm threshold. Its cross-country ability isn't the best among robots.
Driving on dark surfaces
But the robot is not afraid of dark surfaces and can move freely on them without recognizing changes in height, which is a plus.
Noise level
Finally, let's check the iLIFE A80 PRO's noise level in different modes. In floor polishing mode, the noise level is approximately 56 dB. At minimum power, it reaches 61 dB, and at maximum power, it doesn't exceed 68 dB, as stated by the manufacturer. The noise level is standard for robotic vacuum cleaners.
Let's sum it up
The iLIFE A80 PRO has been thoroughly reviewed and tested. our evaluation system the robot was able to type 49 and 100 points And this is a good result for a robot vacuum cleaner with a gyroscope. Currently, it's one of the best.
Now I'll share my personal opinion of the iLIFE A80 PRO. I liked that the robot vacuum creates a room map, is suitable for both dry and wet cleaning, has three control options, comes with spare parts, and performs well on both hard floors and carpets. These advantages are enough to automatically keep your home clean.
Among the drawbacks, I'd point out the rather poor wet cleaning performance, the lack of a travel limiter, the limited maneuverability, and the fact that it can't vacuum and mop simultaneously. Otherwise, it's a reasonable purchase for the price. Especially since iLIFE specializes in robotic vacuum cleaners and is constantly improving their products.
On that note, I'd like to conclude the review. If you have any questions, please ask them in the comments below the video. Don't forget to subscribe and like. Happy shopping, everyone!
