Yeedi 2 Hybrid: A Powerful Robot Vacuum with Camera Navigation for Just $200

This review will examine a new robot vacuum cleaner from Yeedi, the Yeedi 2 Hybrid. At the time of writing, the price is $279, or just over $200 at the current exchange rate. The manufacturer promises to maintain this price, and during a sale at the end of March, the robot will be even cheaper, around $253 (a link to purchase with a coupon for a discount is at the end of the review). This robot really surprised me. For its price, it's quite well-designed, can vacuum and mop simultaneously, features advanced features, and has a powerful motor. Next, I'll take a closer look at the new product and test it in real-world conditions. So, let's get started!
Equipment
The robot vacuum cleaner is equipped with:
- Charging base with a large adhesive base and a compartment for storing the cord.
- Power adapter.
- The operating instructions. It's in English, but there's a link on the cover that lets you download instructions in other languages, including Russian.
- A wet cleaning attachment with a high-quality, thick microfiber cloth.
- A set of disposable wipes for wet cleaning.
This is the entire package. There are no spare parts or accessories in the box, nor is there a remote control, which is a drawback.
Appearance
Now let's take a look at the robot vacuum cleaner itself. It's round, with a white top and black bottom. The body is only 77 mm high.
At the top we see a single start/pause button and the main navigation organ – the camera.
Under the top cover is a dust collector, as well as an on/off power button, a Wi-Fi connection reset button, a QR code for downloading a mobile application, and a brush for cleaning the dust collector and central brush.
The dust container holds up to 430 ml of dry waste. A sticker on the top provides the manufacturer's recommendations for proper use. The filter can be washed with water, but it's important to dry it thoroughly afterwards. The dust container features a triple filtration system consisting of a mesh, foam, and HEPA filter. The filter itself is securely sealed, with visible sealing around the perimeter. The container opens with a button on the side, and a shutter inside prevents waste from accidentally falling out when the container is removed.
The Yeedi 2 Hybrid also features a rear-mounted water tank along with a dust collector. This is the most advanced design among robotic vacuum cleaners for both wet and dry cleaning. There's no need to swap out the water tank for a dust collector, allowing the robot to vacuum and mop simultaneously.
So, this tank holds up to 240 ml of water. Inside, we see a pump, indicating that the water supply is regulated electronically.
There are a whopping six anti-fall sensors installed underneath. Great stuff! The robot is equipped with two side brushes and a bristle-petal turbo brush. The bristles aren't very dense, and the design isn't removable. However, the central brush cover has a rubber curtain and anti-hair-tangle protection.
Well, here is the reusable wet cleaning cloth:
It's quite soft and thicker than regular napkins, and it's very well made. Probably the best-made napkin I've ever held.
Overall, the Yeedi 2 Hybrid's design and build quality are top-notch. No complaints, especially for the $200 price point!
Technical specifications
Main characteristics of Yeedi 2 Hybrid:
- Li-Ion battery 5200 mAh.
- Suction power 2500 Pa.
- Cleaning area up to 260 sq.m. (according to the manufacturer).
- Battery life up to 200 min.
- Dust collector 430 ml.
- Water tank 240 ml.
- Obstacle clearance 2 cm.
- Dimensions 350*77 mm.
The specifications are quite impressive and can compete strongly with similar devices in this price segment. We'll test some of these claims later.
By the way, we previously tested the smaller Yeedi K650 model. I also recommend checking out this robot vacuum cleaner by following this link: https://robovac.washerhouse.com/en/obzory/drugie-brendy/robovac-yeedi-k650.html.
Functional capabilities
Now let's look at the mobile app's functionality. My installation went smoothly. Interestingly, one of the installation steps involves scanning a QR code with the robot's camera, which requires you to position your smartphone's screen over. I've never seen this before.
The robot saves the generated map on the main screen of the app. The mapping quality is high, comparable to premium models with camera navigation. Three operating modes are available: automatic, area, and custom. In area mode, you can select the desired rooms to clean, in the desired order, and choose the number of passes the robot will make: one or two. In automatic mode, the robot simply cleans the entire available area. In custom mode, you can select cleaning zones on the map and the number of passes.
By going to the map management section, you can set no-go zones. There are separate zones for wet cleaning and dry cleaning, which is a plus. You can also name rooms.
There's a cleaning log where you can view data from past cleanings, including generated maps. You can also adjust the suction power and, if the wet cleaning cloth is attached, the water flow rate to the cloth.
You can customize your cleaning schedule by time, day of the week, and even specific rooms. You can also choose the language for voice notifications, including Russian.
In the "Cleaning Settings" section, you can enable continued cleaning after recharging at the base, set the "Do Not Disturb" mode, and customize the room cleaning order.
This is the basic functionality. You can also change the robot vacuum's name, monitor the status of consumables, consult the help section, and update the firmware if necessary.
As you can see, all the advanced features are available in the app. It's important to note that the robot only stores one cleaning map in its memory.
Testing
You can watch a detailed video review and test of the Yeedi 2 Hybrid in our video:
Navigation
First, we tested the Yeedi 2 Hybrid's navigation in a room with obstacles. First, the robot swiped across the entire accessible area in a zigzag pattern. It didn't get stuck on the dryer, and it swept around the chair legs, but didn't sweep around the box itself. After completing the zigzag pattern, the robot swept around the perimeter of the room and returned to its base. Navigation was good, and the test was successful.
As for cleaning the entire house, Yeedi 2 Hybrid covered the entire available area, room by room, first in a zigzag pattern, then traversed the entire perimeter and returned to its base. It took 41 minutes to clean 34 square meters, which it calculated as 29.
The robot isn't fast, but it's not slow either. Its speed is quite standard. The main thing is that there were no untreated areas left and the map was accurate, so the test was successful.
Suction power
The Yeedi 2 Hybrid's suction power was impressive. It effectively removed debris from crevices up to 6 mm deep, and even managed to partially remove debris from 8 and 10 mm deep. This is excellent suction power, and the robot can be considered powerful.
Dry cleaning of laminate flooring
The dry cleaning performance on laminate flooring was also impressive. The robot vacuum cleaner was able to pick up all the debris from the floor, even practically sweeping away two of the four corners. Excellent results for a round robot vacuum cleaner. Most of the debris was collected in the dust bin, with hair tangled in the brushes.
Cleaning the carpet
The Yeedi 2 Hybrid also demonstrated excellent pickup of hair, fur, and small debris on the carpet. After several passes, the robot left no debris on the carpet.
Wet cleaning
The floor cleaning performance is also excellent; the robot completed the task without leaving streaks or stains. The only caveat is that, like all other robot vacuums, it doesn't clean along the baseboards. This is important to keep in mind.
The Yeedi 2 Hybrid is perfect for everyday wet cleaning. I liked the wet cleaning performance; the cloth leaves an even mark and adheres well to the floor. The tank is enough for the entire cleaning cycle, meaning 80-100 square meters on a single charge, depending on the selected mode.
Obstacle clearance
Obstacle clearance is also good. The robot easily crosses a 2-centimeter threshold, as stated by the manufacturer.
Driving on dark surfaces
However, the Yeedi 2 Hybrid recognizes dark surfaces as elevation changes, which is important to take into account. During the test, it wasn't bothered by dark brown stripes on the carpet, but it was the black carpet that presented a challenge.
Noise level
Finally, we measured the robot's noise level in different modes. At minimum power, the noise level is around 61 dB, at medium power, it's around 66 dB, and at maximum power, the noise level doesn't exceed 67 dB. This is average noise level for a robot vacuum cleaner, but considering its high suction power, it's a good result.
Let's sum it up
The Yeedi 2 Hybrid has been thoroughly reviewed and tested. our evaluation system he was able to dial 62 out of 100 pointsAnd considering the price, as well as the test results, I can say that this is most likely the best robot vacuum cleaner of 2021 in its price segment. up to $200There are a few comments that affected the rating, but overall, I liked it and can recommend it.
Among the advantages I would like to highlight:
- Good navigation.
- Building a map of the room and saving it in memory.
- Zoning of premises into rooms.
- Possibility to set no-go zones and cleaning zones on the map.
- Ability to continue cleaning after recharging at the base.
- Yeedi 2 Hybrid can vacuum and mop at the same time.
- High quality dry and wet cleaning.
- Electronic water supply regulation.
- High suction power.
- Powerful battery.
- Good quality workmanship and well thought out design.
- Small body height.
- Support for voice notifications.
- Good cross-country ability.
Here are some comments about the Yeedi 2 Hybrid after a detailed review and testing:
- Poor equipment.
- No remote control.
- Afraid of dark surfaces.
- There is no manual control in the app.
These may be minor issues for some. But overall, the Yeedi 2 Hybrid offers a very good value for money robot vacuum in terms of features and specifications. Thanks to its excellent navigation, high power, and well-designed design, this robot is my favorite for those under $200. It's clearly superior. Mijia 1C (or as it is also called Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop, as well as its twin Dreame F9 or other competitors on the market. So I can confidently recommend it.
That's all from me. If you have any questions, please ask them in the comments below. Happy shopping, everyone. Bye!

Could you please tell me? We have a two-story house, and as I understand it, this one won't work for us, although I'm really considering buying it. What robot in the same price range can you recommend for a two-story house, with both dry and wet cleaning functions, similar to this one?
Hello! Check out the Dreame D9; it cleans just as well and also stores multiple maps in memory (different floors).
Good afternoon! Thanks to your review, I've decided to buy this particular vacuum cleaner. Now I have a question: is this vacuum only sold on AliExpress? I searched around and couldn't find it in stores.
For now it's only sold on Ali!
I've read a ton of your reviews. Thank you so much for your invaluable help in such a difficult decision! I've settled on the Yeedi 2 Hybrid; it's exactly what I need. But I can't find it through the AliExpress link, they don't ship to Russia, and I couldn't find it through search. Can you help me find where to buy it? Thank you so much!
You write that this vacuum cleaner is better than the Dream F9, but in the table it still scores lower than the Dream. How can this be explained?
Dreamy has slightly more features, which is taken into account when calculating the score. Dreamy is more functional, but Edi is more powerful and slightly better built, in my opinion.
Good afternoon. We bought this vacuum cleaner for my mom, but she doesn't have Wi-Fi or internet. Will it work for her?
Hello! It will work, but all the functions will be disabled. It will simply drive off the base, put it away, and return, but you'll need to activate it with a button.
Hello, after two years of use, the robot stopped cleaning and is asking me to clean the fall sensors. We cleaned them, but it didn't help. Do you have a list of service centers in regional cities?
