Genio Pet i50Genio Pet i50

Hello everyone! Welcome to the channel! In this video, I'll be looking at a device that's not quite typical for this project—the Genio Pet i50 grooming vacuum. I was interested in testing it for two reasons. First, I have a pet that needs grooming, including brushing and trimming. Second, I've been familiar with... by Genio companyI've been testing their robot vacuums, upright vacuums, and window cleaners for years. I finally decided to review their new grooming kit, which includes a main unit with a dust collector and motor, as well as five attachments. The price of this kit is around $130, which is in line with similar products. So, let's take a look at the capabilities of the Genio Pet i50 and its pros and cons. I'd appreciate a subscription and a like after watching the video. So, let's get started!

Appearance

Now let's take a look at the Genio Pet i50's design. Let's start with the main unit. It houses a 600-watt motor, generating suction power of up to 12,000 Pa.

Main block

It features a comfortable, soft-touch carrying handle. The control panel is located on the end. There's no display as such. The buttons are backlit, indicating the selected mode. There are only three of them.

The power cord is non-removable and stored underneath. On the sides of the case, you can see markings indicating the locations of the magnets. These areas allow you to attach the hose to the case to keep it from dangling.

To remove the dust container, pull it toward you. A HEPA filter is located inside the main unit.

The container itself also contains a fabric and mesh filter. The dust container holds 2 liters, larger than many similar products.

Let's take a look at the included attachments. Here they are:

The crevice tool is standard, just like the brush. The pet grooming tool is already familiar to many regular viewers of the show. Some upright vacuum cleaners come with a similar tool. It's a comb with a sliding platform that sweeps fur and hair into the suction channel. Very convenient.

The thinning attachment also features a suction channel and a hair remover for accumulated hair. This attachment is ideal for combing out undercoat.

As for the hair clipper attachment, it has a removable transparent cover, allowing you to visually assess the amount of hair being clipped and clean the suction channel if it becomes clogged. Yes, the advantage of this attachment is that all clipped hair is immediately directed into the suction channel, rather than falling onto the floor. The hair clipper is activated by pressing a button. This clipper comes with three dual attachments, giving you six different hair lengths: 3, 6, 9, 12, 18, and 24 mm. The blades are removable and can be replaced if needed. Brand representatives stated that spare parts and accessories for this vacuum cleaner will be available by February. The HEPA filter is now available for order.

We assemble the vacuum cleaner and this is what it looks like when assembled:

Testing

A detailed video review of the Genio Pet i50, including all tests, has already been prepared and published on the channel:

Let's get to the tests! First, let's check the Genio Pet i50's noise level in different modes. It's in the 65-71.5 dB range. In my opinion, the noise level is quite standard.

Now I'll show you the attachments in action.

Here's how to conveniently comb your pet using the attachment designed for this purpose:

The wool is thrown from the combs into the dust collector.

As mentioned, the thinning attachment can be used to more thoroughly comb out the undercoat if needed.

The hair clipper attachment is suitable for those who want to be their own groomer. I've shown you how, but I'd rather not experiment on my pet for now. I feel like you won't get a perfect result in one pass, and to get a neat cut across the entire coat, you'll need to get the hang of it and practice.

Shearing wool

A brush attachment is convenient for pet owners, as it can be used to clean sofas and other furniture. However, I'd like to point out that I prefer the pet brush attachment for cleaning furniture. It grabs hair better and is easier to remove.

The crevice tool is also suitable for collecting hair between sofa sections and other hard-to-reach places.

And it’s convenient that maintenance consists of shaking the wool out of the flask, rinsing the container if necessary, wiping it dry and placing it back in the vacuum cleaner.

Personal opinion

So, what can I say about the Genio Pet i50 grooming vacuum cleaner? In my opinion, it's truly an indispensable item for pet owners, as regular upright vacuums rarely even come with a brushing attachment. Here's what I liked about it:

  1. Capacious dust collector.
  2. Low noise level. At least my pet wasn't afraid of the vacuum cleaner running at maximum power.
  3. All the wool is collected in the dust collector.
  4. A complete set of attachments for different purposes.
  5. Ergonomic design.
  6. Availability of warranty and service.
  7. The price is optimal. Some upright vacuums cost tens of dollars just for the dusting attachment, but this one comes with a complete set.

I can't comment on the downsides, as I haven't had any experience using such devices and I'm not a groomer myself. I thought the trimmer attachment would require some skill. It's not all that simple, and you need to understand the technique of grooming a pet.

Overall, I'm pleased with the vacuum cleaner, and it's become one of my go-to household appliances, complementing my existing robot vacuum, wet/dry vacuum, and upright vacuum. On that note, I'd like to end this review. If you have any questions, please ask them in the comments.

Happy shopping everyone. Bye!
