Hello to all readers of the site! This review will focus on the new Genio Magic Wash T10 cordless vacuum cleaner. Genio specializes in household cleaning appliances. I also reviewed Genio robotic vacuum cleaners, both window washers and regular cordless vacuums from this brand. The first in the line, a washing upright vacuum cleaner, boasts competitive features and a reasonable price of around $400. It's important to test how well the Genio Magic Wash T10 performs in its primary role. Based on the results of my testing, I'll share my opinion on what I liked, what I didn't, and whether this cordless washing vacuum cleaner is worth buying in 2022. So, let's get started!

Equipment

The vacuum cleaner arrived in a branded cardboard box like this:

Equipment

The kit is minimal. Unfortunately, there are no spare accessories included.

Appearance

Now let's take a look at the Genio Magic Wash T10's exterior. First, let's install the handle and clean water tank.

I'll show you in detail how each component works. Let's start with the handle. It has three mechanical control buttons: power on/off, power level, and water flow control. It's important to note that the Genio Magic Wash T10 has two modes: ECO and Maximum.

A clean water tank with a sealed lid is located under the handle. There is no additional filter inside the tank. The reservoir holds up to 860 ml of clean water. Interestingly, there is a light indicator located under the tank; its color changes depending on the operating mode.

The 550 ml dirty water tank is equipped with a HEPA filter with a mesh screen and a sensor system to monitor the dirty water level in the tank. Instead of a standard float switch, as in many other wet/dry vacuum cleaners, the level is monitored by sensors.

An informative display is located between the tanks, showing the battery level, cleaning time, selected mode, and service messages. Below the display is a button for activating self-cleaning mode when the vacuum is docked.

The cleaning module consists of a fluffy roller protected by a transparent, removable cover. The roller is made of soft bristles with elastic fibers inside. Behind the roller is a liquid-collecting squeegee and a suction port that collects dirty water in a special reservoir.

That's all there is to the vacuum cleaner's design. It's also worth noting that the Genio Magic Wash T10 has a non-removable battery and supports vertical parking outside the docking station.

The station can be used to store accessories and spare parts, charge the vacuum cleaner, and activate the self-cleaning function, which will be demonstrated during the tests.

Overall, the Genio Magic Wash T10's design is quite standard. The build quality is above average. Let's move on!

Technical specifications

The main characteristics of the Genio Magic Wash T10, as stated by the manufacturer:

  • Battery: Li-Ion, 4600 mAh.
  • Power consumption: 180 W.
  • Suction power: up to 13000 Pa.
  • Working time: up to 50 min.
  • Clean water tank: 860 ml.
  • Dirty water tank: 550 ml.
  • Noise level: 80-82 dB.
  • Weight: 3.8 kg.

Among the features, it's worth noting the high-capacity battery and very long battery life. The noise level was personally tested with a special sound meter. In both modes, the noise level is increased, ranging from 80-82 dB.

Testing

And finally, let's move on to the tests. I recommend watching a detailed video review of the Genio Magic Wash T10 with all the tests:

Suction power

First, let's test the Genio Magic Wash T10's suction power. This is feasible, as the vacuum cleaner is designed for dry cleaning only. The device was able to suck up debris even from a 10 mm gap. This model's suction power is truly powerful.

Dry cleaning of laminate flooring

Dry cleaning performance on laminate floors is excellent. The Genio Magic Wash T10 can pick up a wide range of debris, even thoroughly cleaning along baseboards and in corners. It passed this test with flying colors!

Carpet cleaning

This machine can handle carpet cleaning, although it's not specifically designed for carpets due to the lack of a dedicated bristle brush. At least you don't have to turn on the forced-air water supply to the roller, allowing you to dry clean your carpets.

Wiping off dirt

When it comes to removing slightly dried-on dirt from hard floors, the Genio Magic Wash T10 is up to the job. There's just one caveat: it doesn't clean the narrow area right up to the baseboard, like most other upright vacuum cleaners.

Removing difficult stains

The next test involved removing dried-on coffee and sauce stains. The Genio Magic Wash T10 struggled to remove the stains. It took almost 10 minutes. Keep in mind, however, that the floor was washed with clean water. If you'd added a non-foaming cleaning agent to the tank, I think the vacuum cleaner would have completed the task more quickly.

Collection of liquids

I'll also demonstrate how the Genio Magic Wash T10 handles liquids and mixtures from the floor, using milk and my favorite dough made with raw egg and flour as examples. It's up to the task.

Self-cleaning quality

After all the tests, the self-cleaning performance of this cordless vacuum cleaner was tested. Given its neglected initial condition, the self-cleaning performance in the first test was not very good. The roller was clean, but some eggshells and some dirt remained behind the roller.

Self-cleaningSelf-cleaning

Self-cleaning

But in normal household conditions, when the vacuum cleaner doesn't get too dirty, self-cleaning performance is good. The roller and suction channel are easily rinsed with water. Simply drain the dirty water from the tank and, if necessary, remove and dry the roller.

Let's sum it up

The Genio Magic Wash T10 was thoroughly reviewed and tested. I'll share my thoughts on the vacuum cleaner after trying it out. I liked the following:

  1. Good quality floor cleaning and waste collection.
  2. Can be used for dry cleaning and carpet cleaning.
  3. High suction power.
  4. Availability of self-cleaning function.
  5. Long battery life.
  6. Ergonomic design.
  7. Parking is available outside the station.
  8. The vacuum cleaner is lightweight compared to similar products.
  9. Availability of warranty and service support.

As for the disadvantages, there are rather comments about the vacuum cleaner, namely:

  1. It doesn't wash along the baseboard.
  2. Increased noise level during operation.
  3. There is no replacement brush for cleaning carpets.

It's also worth noting that the Genio Magic Wash T10 has a non-removable battery, but given its long runtime, this isn't a big deal. After all, you can clean your entire house on a single charge. 50 minutes should be enough.

Overall, I liked this wet/dry vacuum cleaner and definitely recommend it. It's clearly on par with most similar products on the market and can compete with them thanks to its long-lasting battery and excellent wet and dry cleaning performance.

On that note, I'd like to end this review. If you have any questions, please ask them in the comments. Happy shopping. Bye!

Hello! Thanks for the review! Could you please clarify one point: is it feasible to simultaneously perform dry and wet cleaning? Instead of vacuuming first and then going over the area with the water running, I'd rather just vacuum and then vacuum immediately (say, cat hair, small debris, and dust) from linoleum/laminate floors using the wet cleaning mode?
I really want to get rid of the constant double work—dry cleaning and mopping—by combining it with a single pass, simultaneously collecting debris and wet cleaning. Is this vacuum really capable of doing this?
Thank you in advance for your reply!

I think it's possible, but for high-quality dry cleaning, it's better to use a dedicated upright vacuum cleaner. These are less effective and are more suited for floor cleaning. However, if you need to collect something on a carpet, for example, or simply don't want to get the roller wet, you can use it exclusively for dry cleaning.

Please tell me how long the battery life is stated to be before it is replaced.
And also the estimated cost of replacing the battery if such information is available.
