Roidmi M10: An Affordable Upright Vacuum Cleaner from Xiaomi

The Roidmi M10 is an affordable cordless vacuum cleaner, priced between $120 and $140. For that price, you get a lightweight and convenient upright vacuum with several included attachments, a display on the body, a removable battery, and a soft-bristled roller, which is better suited for picking up debris on hard floors. So, below, I'll show you how the Roidmi M10 works and how it performs at its core function, after which I'll share my opinion on whether it's worth considering. Equipment

The vacuum cleaner arrived in a branded box like this:

The package includes:

2. Extension tube.
3. Floor nozzle.
4. Wall holder with fasteners.
5. Power adapter.

8. Vacuum cleaner cleaning tool.
9. Spare filter.

The package is standard. The only thing missing is a motorized brush attachment for cleaning upholstery. But considering the price, this isn't a deal-breaker. Some more expensive alternatives don't include it.

Appearance

Now let's take a look at the Roidmi M10's design. Here's what the vacuum cleaner looks like when fully assembled:

I'll show you each component in detail. Let's start with the main unit. The vacuum cleaner is turned on and off by pressing the trigger button; there's no need to hold it down, which is a plus. The display and mode switch are located on the end. There are three power levels in total. The battery is removable, which is a plus. The charger port is located under the handle.

The dust container is easily removed with the press of a button. It empties through the bottom. The filtration system is four-stage. A HEPA filter is not included, which is a shame. After removing the filtration system, the debris can simply be shaken out of the container. Incidentally, the dust container has a standard capacity of 400 ml.

The main floor nozzle features a swivel joint for increased maneuverability. The roller is fluffy and better suited for picking up debris on hard floors. A fairly large suction opening is located behind it. The roller is held in place by a locking mechanism that can be released with the press of a button. Interestingly, a comb is even included behind the roller, like on more expensive models.

The additional attachments are standard. But a big plus is that they are equipped with locking devices. Incidentally, all the locking devices operate smoothly, without any play, which is a plus.

It is only important to note here that vertical parking of the vacuum cleaner outside the station is not provided.

But there is a wall holder on which you can store not only the vacuum cleaner, but also the attachments from the set.

The noise level was personally tested and found to be between 71-79 dB, which is quite adequate for a cordless upright vacuum cleaner.

Speaking of weight, the main unit weighs 1,401 grams, the extension tube 221 grams, and the floor nozzle 768 grams. In total, the fully assembled vacuum weighs 2,390 grams. It's one of the lightest vacuums I've tested.

And finally, let's move on to the tests. First, let's check the Roidmi M10's battery life at maximum power. It managed to last almost 10 minutes, which is quite standard.

Suction power

The actual suction power was impressive. The vacuum cleaner was able to clean debris even from a 10 mm gap on the lowest power setting. It performed more reliably on the medium and maximum settings. In any case, the power is sufficient for household cleaning, especially on hard floors.

Quality of waste collection

The vacuum cleaner picks up various types of debris from laminate flooring well. It doesn't leave debris along walls or in corners. There are no blind spots, which is a plus. A little hair and lint got caught on the roller, but it's easy to clean. Most of the debris is collected in the dust bin. Test passed!

The same debris was scattered on the carpet, and even with the Roidmi M10 hard floor roller, it cleaned the carpet thoroughly, leaving no debris behind. The roller didn't jam on medium-pile carpet, which is good. Another test passed!

I'll also tell you about the included attachments. They'll not only allow you to thoroughly clean furniture or car interiors, but also hard-to-reach places. Overall, I think you'll find them useful in your everyday life.

Cleaning the dust collector

Finally, I'll explain how to clean the dust container. Detach the dust container from the main unit and press the button on the bottom, causing the bottom to open and all the contents to fall out. Pet hair can get stuck in this situation, so it's easier to remove the entire filtration system and empty the container completely from the top.

Personal opinion

The Roidmi M10 upright vacuum cleaner was thoroughly reviewed and tested. Among its advantages, I would like to highlight the following:

1. High-quality waste collection, and it can even clean carpets.
2. High suction power.
3. Light weight.
4. Removable battery.
5. Ergonomic design of the main unit and attachments.
6. Comfortable one-handed control of the vacuum cleaner.
7. Optimal price.
