Roborock F25 Ultra: Steam, Light, 22,000 Pa, and App Control

This review examines the new Roborock F25 Ultra handheld vacuum cleaner. Its key feature is its ability to remove tough stains with steam, reaching temperatures of up to 180 degrees Celsius. Additionally, the device boasts a 180-degree tilt angle, automatic detergent refill from a separate tank, hot water roller cleaning, quick hot air roller drying, wheel drives for easy operation, an anti-tangle system, increased suction power of 22,000 Pa, and even app control. Essentially, this cordless handheld vacuum cleaner packs all the latest features. At the time of writing, this comprehensive set of features starts at $460. Below, I'll thoroughly test the Roborock F25 Ultra, highlight its pros and cons, and then share my personal opinion. Let's get started!
Equipment
Let's start with the package contents. The Roborock F25 Ultra arrived in this branded box:
The package includes:
- The washing vacuum cleaner itself.
- Removable handle.
- Base for charging and self-cleaning.
- Power adapter.
- Vacuum cleaner cleaning tool.
- Spare HEPA filter.
- Operating instructions, in my case without translation into Russian.
- A 200 ml bottle of branded detergent.
The package is good. It includes not only a spare filter but also detergent, which is a plus! The only thing missing is a spare roller.
Appearance
Let's take a look at the Roborock F25 Ultra. The vacuum cleaner comes in black. It's designed in a familiar way: clean water is supplied to the roller as it rotates, after which the waste water is collected by the squeegee and sucked into the dirty water tank.
The clean water tank is quite spacious, holding 1000 ml. It is located above the roller. This placement allows the center of gravity to be lowered, making the vacuum cleaner easier to control.
The clean water tank has a compartment for detergent, which will be automatically mixed in while washing the floor. This is a plus! The detergent tank holds 100 ml.
Inside the water tank, we see what appears to be a scale inhibitor. A clever design decision by the engineers. Six nozzles are located at the front for delivering steam in the appropriate mode.
Above the roller, we see backlights that allow you to detect dirt on the floor in low light. The backlight is quite bright and blue.
The rollerball is removed from the side and held in place by a familiar latch. The rollerball itself is a familiar design, made of soft, fluffy bristles. It extends to the edge of the barrel on both sides, but not flush. The side latches used to hold the rollerball in place take up a bit of space.
Behind the roller, we see a comb for detangling tangled hair and fur. Another clever solution from Roborock engineers.
I'll add right away that the wheels are equipped with drives, which simplifies the operation of the washing vacuum cleaner.
The waste water tank is located in front, above the cleaning module. It also has a larger capacity, holding up to 720 ml of waste water. It houses a filtration system with a HEPA filter with a mesh screen and a coarse filter for collecting waste water. Electronic water level sensors monitor the water level.
The handle contains three mechanical control buttons: power on/off, switching operating modes, and starting the self-cleaning function at the station.
Four operating modes are available: suction without water, automatic, steam mopping, and hot water mopping. All information is displayed on a large, informative display.
It's also important to note that the vacuum cleaner's tilt angle is 180 degrees, allowing it to clean floors under low furniture. The vacuum cleaner's height when lying flat is 12.5 cm, making it ideal for accessing gaps like these.
The Roborock F25 Ultra's base charges, self-cleans with hot water or even steam heated to 180 degrees Celsius, and dries the roller with hot air reaching 95 degrees Celsius. A quick-dry mode is also available, allowing for a quick 5-minute drying time.
The pros and cons of the wet/dry vacuum cleaner's design will be discussed in the final review. Let's move on!
Technical specifications
The main characteristics of the Roborock F25 Ultra, as stated by the manufacturer:
- Battery: Li-Ion, 4600 mAh
- Power consumption: 430 W
- Suction power: up to 22,000 Pa
- Operating time: up to 60 min

I'd like to highlight the increased battery capacity and increased vacuum power compared to similar products. I personally tested the noise level and found it to be in the 72-74 dB range, which is standard.
Functional capabilities
The app's features deserve special attention. The Roborock F25 Ultra is controlled via the proprietary Roborock app, which it connects to seamlessly.
Here you can flexibly customize the settings of both the station and the vacuum cleaner. Regarding settings, you can manually adjust the suction power and water flow rate to the roller in the selected operating mode, adjust the wheel steering level, turn the cleaning area backlight on and off, adjust the detergent dosage, and set the language and volume of voice prompts. It's worth noting that I received the global version of the vacuum cleaner, and in keeping with Roborock's tradition, global models don't have Russian language support. Therefore, it speaks English and a variety of other languages. If you need Russian-language voice prompts and instructions, you should choose the Russian-language version. However, the app interface will always be in Russian, whether you choose the global or Russian version.
Once the vacuum cleaner is docked, the station's settings open. Here, you can select the roller's self-cleaning mode and intensity, as well as its drying time.
Additional features include a section for monitoring the status of consumables, as well as the familiar horizontal vacuum control mode from previous models. In this mode, you can manually direct the vacuum forward and backward, turning it left and right. Perhaps some will find this feature useful in their daily lives.
Testing
And finally, let's move on to the tests. A detailed video review has already been published on the channel:
Let's test how well the Roborock F25 Ultra performs its primary function. We'll run several tests, from simple to more complex.
The vacuum cleaner handles everyday floor cleaning well. In automatic mode, it automatically adjusts suction power depending on the degree of dirtiness of the floor. Liquid is thoroughly sucked into the dirty water tank, leaving no streaks or puddles.
You can also use the vacuum cleaner to pick up liquids and mixtures, like in my case, a mixture of raw egg and flour. Very convenient.
The Roborock F25 Ultra vacuum cleaner removes dirt very effectively and quickly, leaving no streaks or marks. Moreover, the Roborock F25 Ultra can clean dirt right up to baseboards thanks to its dual-sided rollers extending to the edge of the unit.
In reality, the blind spot is about 3 mm, while most similar models have a blind spot of 10-20 mm. However, Roborock's engineers best approached the issue of cleaning floors right up to the edges in the Dyad line, where the roller actually extended right up to the edge. It's a shame this design has been discontinued and upgraded.
Regarding tough stain removal, the vacuum cleaner took 3.5 minutes to remove all the dirt in steam mode. This is a very good result, one of the best on the project. Typically, budget-to-mid-range vacuum cleaners complete this task in 8-10 minutes, while premium models take about 5 minutes. We used detergent because it was included.
Using the steam cleaning mode on laminate flooring in a residential setting is a bit concerning, but the manufacturer's website states that tests have confirmed the technology's safety, so only time will tell. However, using the steam cleaning mode on tile is definitely safe. In any case, it's convenient that you can choose a simple floor cleaning mode with a hot water rinse of the roller, or turn off the heating entirely and switch to automatic mode. These flexible settings allow you to select the appropriate mode for your flooring type.
Furthermore, the wet/dry vacuum cleaner in question can also be used for dry cleaning. It picked up almost all the debris from the laminate flooring. There were some minor issues with picking up larger debris, such as litter granules, but overall, this isn't a major issue, as it's primarily a wet/dry vacuum cleaner and has other purposes. However, the engineers still have room for improvement.
I also tested how the combs handle detangling hair and fur from the roller. I laid hair of varying lengths on the floor, vacuumed it up, and found the roller and comb area clean. The hair protection system is effective!
This wet/dry vacuum cleaner can also be used for cleaning carpets and rugs in wet suction mode, without using water. However, due to the design of the roller, the vacuum cleaner can only pick up surface debris, and I wouldn't recommend using it for this purpose, as pet hair and other debris can accumulate behind the roller and clog the suction system. Roborock's line includes wet/dry vacuum cleaners with attachments for dry cleaning, so if you need to mop floors and clean carpets, it might be more practical to consider a combo version like the one tested earlier. Roborock F25 ACE Combo.
Finally, we check the roller's self-cleaning performance. The roller is thoroughly cleaned and fluffed up nicely after self-cleaning. Test passed!
In everyday life, the lid, roller, and area behind the roller are also easy to clean after self-cleaning, so I think it's very well implemented in this model!
The drying is also really effective. Even after 5 minutes of quick drying, the roller is practically dry! Great job, Roborock engineers!
I even checked the actual washing and drying temperature of the roller. During self-cleaning, the sensor showed no more than 38.6 degrees Celsius. The rapid rotation of the roller in the wash zone likely affected the results, preventing the water from concentrating in one spot and warming the sensor.
But when drying, the sensor showed above 76 degrees and this result is already closer to the stated figures.
In any case, both self-cleaning and drying do their job well!
Personal opinion
The Roborock F25 Ultra upright vacuum cleaner was thoroughly reviewed and tested. I'll highlight the pros and cons I discovered, and then share my personal opinion. I liked the following:
- The steam function allows the vacuum cleaner to remove even stubborn stains twice as fast as most similar vacuum cleaners. Plus, in my opinion, steam treatment can be used for surface disinfection and more thoroughly cleaning textured flooring.
- Effective protection of the roller from hair and fur tangling.
- Automatic mixing of detergent from a separate tank.
- High-quality self-cleaning of the roller with hot water and even steam if necessary.
- Fast and efficient drying of the roller with hot air.
- Illumination of the cleaning area.
- Automatic power increase mode when contamination is detected.
- The roller extends to the edge of the body on both sides. Even with the blind spots caused by the locking mechanism, the vacuum cleaner cleans floors along baseboards better than many similar products.
- Horizontal floor cleaning is supported thanks to the vacuum cleaner being able to be folded out 180 degrees.
- The water tank is located at the bottom, so the center of gravity is shifted downwards and the vacuum cleaner is more convenient to control.
- Large capacity water tanks.
- Good filtration system.
- Control via a proprietary app, allowing you to flexibly customize settings to suit your needs.
- A remote control mode for a washing vacuum cleaner, which might be convenient for some people to just play with.
- The wheels are equipped with motors for easier control and literally glide the vacuum across the floor. The weight is practically unnoticeable in your hand.
- High suction power, judging by the stated characteristics.
- Capacious battery and therefore long operating time.
- Informative display on the body.
- Good package, which includes a spare filter and branded detergent.
- Ergonomic design and stylish execution.
- Availability of warranty and service.
As for the disadvantages, there are the following comments about the vacuum cleaner:
- A minimal blind spot remains due to the locking tabs on the edges of the roller. The Roborock Dyad Pro, for example, had no blind spot at all.
- Non-removable battery.
- Not suitable for cleaning medium pile carpets.
- There are problems with collecting large debris such as cat litter granules.
- The global version of the vacuum cleaner does not have Russian voice notifications, and the paper instructions are not Russified.
Overall, absolutely all of the comments are non-critical, and most of them are common to virtually all upright wet vacuum cleaners on the market. Rather, these are suggestions to the brand's engineers on what could be improved to make the product even more effective and versatile.
The Roborock F25 Ultra, thanks to its steam function, has truly become more effective at removing tough stains, and that's key. It's also more functional and user-friendly than its predecessors. Therefore, it definitely deserves attention and is recommended as one of the best wet/dry vacuum cleaners for 2025. It's likely that it will even be highly competitive in the market in 2026 and will be included in the updated ranking.
On that note, I'd like to end this review. If you have any questions, please ask them in the comments. Happy shopping, everyone. Bye!
