Appearance

Now let's take a look at the Roborock H60 Hub Ultra's design. The main unit is virtually identical in color and design to the previously reviewed Roborock H60 Ultra. It features the same black-graphite body and a powerful motor inside, delivering 210 AirWatts of suction. There are only two differences: the main unit now houses the charging terminals for the vacuum cleaner at the charging station, and a self-cleaning curtain has been added to the dust bin.

Basically, everything is arranged in a similar way: the battery is removable, and it can be charged separately through the appropriate connector if you purchase a regular charger.

The display is located on the end and has two control buttons. There are three operating modes: medium, maximum, and economy. There is no automatic mode. The display shows the battery percentage, the selected power level, and service messages.

The dust container is removable, which is a plus. The main unit houses a filtration system using a fabric filter and HEPA. The dust container itself features a multi-cyclone system with a metal mesh. In addition to automatic self-cleaning, the container can be emptied manually by shaking it out after removing the filtration system.

The attachment kit and design are identical to those of the H60 Ultra. The main attachment features a swivel joint and a bright green backlight to help locate debris on the floor.

The roller is open at the front to better capture large debris from the floor. It can be removed without tools by releasing the locking tab on the side. The roller's design combines fluffy pile with petals, making it a versatile solution for both hard floors and carpets.

Speaking about the station, a big plus is that it is equipped with a HEPA filter installed at the bottom.

The pros and cons of this design will be discussed during the final review. Let's move on!

Technical specifications

The main characteristics of the Roborock H60 Hub Ultra, as stated by the manufacturer:

  • Power consumption: not declared.
  • Suction power up to 210 AW.
  • Li-Ion battery 3000 mAh.
  • Operating time up to 90 min.
  • Dust collector capacity: 500 ml.
  • Bag in the station: 3 liters.
  • Noise level 72-78.5 dB.
  • The weight of the fully assembled vacuum cleaner is 3 kg.
  • Station dimensions: 289*289*848 mm.

I personally measured the vacuum cleaner's noise level. It ranges from 72 to 78.5 dB, depending on the selected mode. This is a typical result. Surprisingly, the vacuum cleaner was even slightly quieter than the standard H60 Ultra. The station's noise level during self-cleaning is around 76 dB, which is also a typical result.

The main unit weighs 1,795 grams, the extension tube weighs 300 grams, and the main floor nozzle weighs 854 grams. The fully assembled vacuum weighs 2,949 grams, which is quite standard.

Testing

A detailed video review of the Roborock H60 Hub Ultra, including all tests, has already been prepared and published on the channel:

Opening hours

Let's move on to the tests. First, let's check the Roborock H60 Hub Ultra's battery life at maximum power with the main attachment attached. It managed to run for 9 minutes and 30 seconds. This is a fairly standard result.

Suction power

In terms of power, the vacuum cleaner in Energy Saving mode was able to clean debris from a 10 mm gap on the simplest stand, as well as a good 18 mm gap and partially cleaned a 20 mm deep gap. In Medium mode, it cleaned a 25 mm deep gap well and partially cleaned a 30 mm deep gap. At maximum power, it easily cleaned debris from crevices up to 35 mm deep. So, this is certainly a powerful upright vacuum.

Collecting debris on laminate flooring

Now let's test how well the Roborock H60 Hub Ultra picks up floor debris. I scattered various types of debris on the laminate flooring: hair, fur, grains, and other small household debris. This device performed well.

Collecting debris on laminate flooring

It's important to note that it has no problem picking up debris along baseboards and in corners, or even larger debris. It picks everything up thoroughly. The roller barely picks up any hair or fur. That's a plus!

Anti-tangle Hair Protection

I also checked the anti-tangle feature. The dry cleaning attachment did a fantastic job! All the hair was collected, and the roller was perfectly clean. A truly amazing brush!

Carpet cleaning

The vacuum also handles carpets well thanks to its well-designed roller. It's worth noting that the attachment doesn't stick to the carpet, which could interfere with the vacuum's operation. This is a plus.

Using additional attachments

It's also worth noting that the complete kit allows you to clean a sofa, areas beyond the reach of the main nozzle, and even car interiors. Overall, this vacuum cleaner is suitable for a variety of applications.

Self-cleaning

Finally, I'll tell you how the self-cleaning function performs. First, we tried self-cleaning the dust bin after all the tests. The station handled this task perfectly – the bin was empty after emptying the dust!

I made the task more difficult and filled the dust bin with fur and hair. And then the station failed, even after several attempts. The bottom of the bin cleaned itself, but the hair and fur remained stuck at the top. This isn't an isolated issue; many similar stations fail to cope with this task. However, I'd like to see the stations in the updated versions of Roborock self-cleaning upright vacuums handle this task.

In this situation, if debris gets stuck in the flask, you can remove the dust collector, take out the filtration system, and empty the contents from the container. It's important to avoid contact with the debris when manually cleaning.

Personal opinion

The Roborock H60 Hub Ultra upright vacuum cleaner was thoroughly reviewed and tested. I'll first highlight the pros and cons I discovered during my initial testing, then share my personal opinion of this model. I liked the following:

  1. A convenient self-cleaning station that gets the job done in a home environment and allows you to store all your accessories in one place.
  2. In reality, the suction power is very high.
  3. High-quality debris collection on a variety of surfaces. Unlike many similar products, you no longer need to change roller attachments for hard floors and carpets, or replace the rollers themselves. One universal attachment does it all—it's very convenient, practical, and even more cost-effective!
  4. A system to prevent hair from getting tangled around the roller has been implemented.
  5. High-quality filtration system in both the vacuum cleaner and the station.
  6. The telescopic extension wand makes the vacuum cleaner more convenient to use. You can adjust the vacuum to your height.
  7. Illumination of the cleaning area.
  8. Removable battery.
  9. Removable dust collector.
  10. Informative display on the body.
  11. High-quality assembly and high brand reliability.
  12. Ergonomic design and stylish design. The vacuum cleaner is easy to use with one hand and has a modern look.
  13. Availability of warranty and service.

As for comments, I didn't like the following:

  1. If the dust collector is tightly clogged with hair and debris, the station is not able to completely clean itself or it takes several attempts to do so.
  2. There is no automatic power increase mode when detecting dirt and carpets.
  3. There's no vertical parking position outside the holder. This means if you need to take a break while using the vacuum, you'll have to bend over and place it on the floor or prop it up.

So, what's the bottom line? Considering the price and the fact that this is a self-cleaning upright vacuum, I don't think these criticisms are critical. Yes, there are some issues with the station, but they only become apparent under challenging conditions, such as testing with large amounts of debris. In everyday use, the upright vacuum performs well and does its job perfectly. If you want to minimize contact with the collected debris and simplify maintenance, a self-cleaning station is a great option, and the Roborock H60 Hub Ultra, in my opinion, is one of the best in this segment. At least, of the self-cleaning uprights I reviewed.

On that note, I'd like to end this review. If you have any questions, please ask them in the comments. Happy shopping, everyone. Bye!
