REDMOND RV-R250: A twin of the popular Ultra Slim V2

The RV-R250 is a new mid-priced robot vacuum cleaner from REDMOND, featuring a very slim design (just 5.7 cm tall) that combines dry and wet cleaning functions, as well as scheduling. Its compact dimensions allow it to reach under low furniture and clean there. The robot is designed for cleaning hard floors, but it can also be used on carpets up to two centimeters high. However, its effectiveness on carpets will be reduced due to its weak suction power and the lack of a turbo brush. REDMOND equipment

As you can see from the review, the box contains all the components and consumables needed for effective autonomous cleaning. It's a shame that a movement limiter is not included. The lack of smartphone control and app-based cleaning area customization can be a minor inconvenience when using the robot vacuum.

Appearance

The robot has a modern look: its slim plastic body is square with rounded corners. The REDMOND RV-R250's primary color is black, but the trim also features a silver finish.

If you look closely, you can see that the design of this model is very similar to Philips SmartPro Easy And E.Ziclean Ultra Slim V2, especially with the second one.

When viewing the robot vacuum cleaner from the back, you can see two wheels with an automatic shut-off mechanism when lifted off the floor, a front swivel wheel, two rotating brushes, a suction hole, contact pads for installation on the charging base, and holes for attaching a nozzle with a cloth.

It's worth noting that the device's wheels provide excellent maneuverability and prevent it from getting stuck even on carpets up to five centimeters high.

The included 2200 mAh lithium-ion battery provides the robot vacuum with up to 100 minutes of continuous operation. When the battery level approaches critically low, the REDMOND RV-R250 automatically returns to its docking station. Recharging takes approximately three hours.

The robot's suction power isn't strong enough for cleaning carpets, for example, but it's plenty powerful enough to remove dust, dirt, and small debris from hard floors.

The noise level of the device is 65 dB, which is not the lowest among automated cleaners, but is much lower than the noise of a traditional vacuum cleaner.

Functional capabilities

Thanks to its rotating side brushes, the robot vacuum cleaner effectively removes small debris, dust, hair, and pet hair from floors. The device is equipped with highly sensitive sensors that prevent it from hitting furniture or falling from elevated surfaces.

The 350-milliliter dust container holds the amount of dust collected in approximately two cleaning cycles for a three-room apartment. The container is equipped with a pre-filter and a HEPA exhaust filter, which captures the smallest dust particles and microorganisms.

The REDMOND RV-R250 has three operating modes:

automatic – the robot consistently cleans the entire available cleaning area;
cleaning a fixed area in a spiral pattern;
Corner cleaning – the device moves along the perimeter of the rooms and collects accumulated debris.

Operating modes

Select one of the modes using the remote control. The REDMOND RV-R250 robot vacuum cleaner can also mop the floor with a cloth, which must be dampened with water and attached to the bottom.

It is also convenient that you can set the robot vacuum cleaner to start automatically every day at a certain time.
