The iLife V55 Pro robot vacuum cleaner is a new 2019 product from a renowned Chinese manufacturer, now available for sale. This robot is designed for dry cleaning of hard flooring (laminate, tile, linoleum, and ceramic tiles), as well as for wet mopping. Wet cleaning is accomplished using a holder on the bottom of the robot vacuum cleaner with a cleaning cloth that is automatically moistened from a water container. Let's immediately highlight how the iLife V55 Pro differs from its predecessor. V55The key feature is the inclusion of a gyroscope, which works in tandem with the odometer for improved navigation. Other differences include the wet cleaning tank (it can now be attached to the dust collector rather than replacing it) and its larger dimensions (348 x 92 mm versus 305 x 78 mm). We'll tell you in detail about the iLife V55 Pro's cleaning performance, features, and specifications in this review.

Appearance

The robot vacuum cleaner has the iLife manufacturer's traditional "appearance": a pill-shaped device that appears circular when viewed from above, a glossy plastic surface, and a black color. A gray body color is also available; a detailed review of the iLife V55 Pro Gray is available at this link: https://robovac.washerhouse.com/en/obzory/ilife/robovac-ilife-v55-pro-gray.htmlThe body looks identical. Panda X500, however, the characteristics and functionality are better.

Functional capabilities

The iLife V55 Pro uses a brushless motor, which is distinguished by its energy efficiency and low noise level. The motor delivers a suction power of up to 1000 Pa (approximately 15 W). This is a modest figure, as many modern robot vacuum cleaners are almost twice as powerful (with suction power reaching up to 1800 Pa).

The robot vacuum cleaner cleans using side brushes, which sweep debris from the floor toward the suction port, through which it is collected in the dust bin. It's recommended to empty the dust bin after each cleaning cycle, as its capacity is limited to 300 milliliters. The dust bin is equipped with a filter for cleaning the air it expels, which can trap even the smallest dust particles, bacteria, and microorganisms.

The following operating modes are provided:

  • automatic – standard mode, designed for daily maintenance of cleanliness of the entire accessible area of the room (suction force – 550 Pa);
  • along the perimeter – the robot vacuum cleaner moves along walls, furniture and cleans out debris along baseboards and in corners;
  • Spot cleaning – used to clean a small, targeted area on the floor; the robot vacuum cleaner moves in a spiral pattern, starting from the center and gradually increasing the radius, and then back again;
  • Zigzag or "snake" - here the iLife V55 Pro robot vacuum cleaner cleans the floor without repeating or skipping any areas, and thanks to the built-in gyroscope, the device plots a route and does not deviate from it when going around obstacles;
  • MAX – a mode for cleaning the dirtiest areas of the floor, providing maximum suction power.
