Xrobot XR-510F
In 2014, Xrobot added the XR-510F to its line of Chinese robotic vacuum cleaners. The device is designed for dry cleaning of houses, apartments, hotel rooms, and offices with wood, ceramic, short-pile carpet, and other flooring. It can also wet mop hard floors. Xrobot Components
Design
The Xrobot XR-510F's appearance is a classic "puck" shape; when viewed from above, the robot appears perfectly round. It comes in black; a white version is also available, but it's less common. The indicator lights and touch buttons on the control panel, located at the top of the body, are backlit in blue. The protruding signal receiver is also located here.

A side view of the robot vacuum cleaner reveals the contacts for mounting on the charging station and the virtual wall recognition sensors on one side, and the dust collector compartment cover, the on/off button, and the socket for connecting the vacuum cleaner directly to the mains on the other.

Viewing the robot from the rear, we see two side wheels, one front wheel, a central main brush, and a floor brush. Additionally, on the bottom is a single side paddle brush, the battery compartment cover, height sensors, and a mounting location for the wet cleaning unit (where the dust collector is located).

Functional capabilities.
The robot has two main operating modes:
- Automatic: activated by pressing the Auto button, the robot vacuum cleaner works until the battery is discharged, after which it will use sound signals to indicate the end of work due to a low battery level and return to the charging base.
- Local (spot): when you press the Spot button, Xrobot XR-510F will begin thoroughly cleaning an area of 1 square meter for 2-3 minutes.
The robot vacuum's movement patterns include wall-mounted, zig-zag, and spiral movements. You can activate the automatic docking station search and pause the robot vacuum by pressing the Charge button on the body or the remote control.
The Xrobot XR-510F Black is primarily designed for dry cleaning. However, if needed, you can attach a removable pad with a damp cloth and start mopping the floor. You can restrict its movement using the virtual wall included in the basic kit. You can also schedule cleaning. To do this, simply set the desired time in advance, and the robot vacuum will complete the cleaning before you arrive.
How the virtual wall works
Keep in mind that the robot requires some maintenance, so you should check the dust bin is full and empty it regularly. The side brush and two main brushes also require maintenance: they should be thoroughly cleaned periodically to remove any tangled hair and fur.

Advantages and disadvantages
The Xrobot XR-510F robotic vacuum cleaner is a user-friendly and functional automated cleaner. It offers the following advantages:

Overview of robot vacuum cleaner disadvantages:
- Users may have some difficulty finding replacement consumables for existing ones that wear out over time.
- Before using the Xrobot XR-510F, you must prepare the room: remove from the floor all objects in which the device could become entangled or stuck.
- The brushes, especially the two main ones, require periodic thorough cleaning.
- The wet floor mopping function is not fully implemented: you will have to constantly wet the cloth yourself, as it dries quickly.
- The device has a rather large body, so there is a risk of it getting stuck in tight spaces.
- There is only one side brush, although there is space for a second one.
As you can see, this robot vacuum cleaner model has both advantages and disadvantages. However, at around $105 (the average price in 2018), it's not the best value for money option.
