Bork V810Bork V810

The Bork V810 upright wet/dry vacuum cleaner is the most expensive cordless vacuum cleaner I've tested. Its price starts at $1,260 at the time of writing. But don't rush to close the page thinking, "We're not buying this." Take a look at the Bork V810's design, its capabilities, and, most importantly, how it performs at its core function. This is a truly impressive device, incorporating a number of unique features that enhance floor cleaning efficiency. Let's get started!

Equipment

The package includes:

  1. Base for charging and self-cleaning.
  2. Vacuum cleaner cleaning brush.
  3. Spare roller.
  4. Spare HEPA filter.
  5. Documentation from the manufacturer.

The kit is well-equipped, and there are even spare accessories. Ideally, it would also include the brand's cleaning solution. It's sold separately on the manufacturer's website.

Appearance

Let's take a look at the Bork V810 upright vacuum cleaner. Let's start with the cleaning module. I'll point out right away that this vacuum cleaner is suitable for dry cleaning, floor washing, and even steam cleaning. The steam cleaner can remove stubborn dried-in stains from surfaces, as will be confirmed in our tests.

The top cover is removable and held in place by magnets. The roller is positioned closer to the edge of the body on one side, allowing you to clean the floor almost right up to the baseboard.

Behind the roller there is a scraper and a suction hole.

A front-mounted indicator light displays the steam cleaning function's status. The indicator light fills as the steam cleaner heats up, and the indicator light begins to flash when the steam cleaner is ready for use. Steam is delivered to the surface through four holes. The temperature is 110 degrees Celsius.

Above the cleaning module is the dirty water tank. It contains a HEPA filter with a mesh screen, a coarse filter, and a sensor system that monitors the liquid level in the tank. This tank has a capacity of 720 ml.

Above is a clean water tank with a capacity of 820 ml. It has an ozonation system inside, which disinfects the water. The technology is called Ozone Eco Clean. Here's how it works:

The Bork V810 also features a separate reservoir for detergent. It's automatically mixed with water during wet cleaning and self-cleaning modes, increasing the effectiveness of both floor cleaning and roller cleaning. Engineers call this technology Tesla Valve.

The handle itself, or rather the control panel on it, deserves special attention. The wet/dry vacuum cleaner features an informative LCD display, three mechanical control buttons, a lever for adjusting the cleaning fluid flow, and a trigger for adjusting the power. The display displays a wealth of information and includes a settings menu. As mentioned, there are three main operating modes: dry cleaning, wet cleaning, and steam. Furthermore, the Bork V810 features an automatic power boost when dirt is detected. There's even an anti-scale feature for the clean water tank.

The surface drying feature during floor cleaning deserves special attention. A vent located at the bottom of the vacuum cleaner directs airflow onto the floor when the drying function is activated. As a result, during wet cleaning, any liquid residue on the floor is not only collected by the squeegee but also dried by a special fan. I haven't encountered anything like this in similar products.

The Bork V810 charging station charges, self-cleans the roller and suction system, and dries the roller with hot air. Everything you'd expect from a premium upright vacuum cleaner.

In terms of its combination of design and features, this is the most powerful wet/dry vacuum cleaner we reviewed. Let's see how it performs in action.

Technical specifications

The main characteristics of the Bork V810, as declared by the manufacturer:

  • Battery: 7400 mAh.
  • Suction power: 16800 Pa.
  • Vacuum cleaner power: 680 W.
  • Working time: 15-75 min.
  • Charging time: 4 h.
  • Cleaning area: up to 230 sq.m.
  • Clean water tank: 820 ml.
  • Dirty water tank: 720 ml.
  • Noise level: up to 65 dB.
  • Weight: 5.7 kg.

In terms of specifications, it's also among the best. It has a very capacious battery, strong suction power, large water tanks, and a fairly long runtime in standard mode.

The noise level was measured personally, and it is within 68-73 dB, which is at the level of similar devices.

Testing

And finally, let's move on to testing. A detailed video review of the Bork V810, including all the tests, has already been prepared and published on the channel:

There will be several tests, from simple to complex. The Bork V810 performs well in everyday floor cleaning. It leaves no marks or streaks, moderately wets the roller, and doesn't leave puddles on the surface.

The Bork V810 can also be used to collect various liquids, such as a mixture of raw egg and flour, as I did in my case.

The vacuum cleaner copes with removing simple traces of dirt without any problems at all.

The roller's body is positioned at the edge, minimizing the blind spot between the roller's edge and the baseboard—approximately 3 mm. This is even smaller than similar rollers with the same positioning.

The Bork V810 is even capable of removing tough stains like dried-on coffee and sauce stains. In this test, I put the steam cleaning function to the test. All stains were removed in just 4.5 minutes. Many of the stains were removed with just the second or third pass of the roller over the surface. And if I'd used the proprietary cleaning solution in the test, I'm sure the vacuum cleaner would have done the job even faster. Unfortunately, it wasn't included.

After the dirty water tests, we checked the self-cleaning performance of the base unit. We drained the dirty water, filled the dedicated tank with clean water, placed the vacuum cleaner on the base unit, and activated the self-cleaning function. The roller and lid weren't perfectly clean, but no eggshells or other debris were found. The platform on the base unit was also clean. Everything was collected in the dirty water tank. I believe the Bork V810 performed well, again, even without detergent. After mopping the floor under normal household conditions, the cleaning module was cleaned even more thoroughly, after which the roller drying function on the station automatically started.

The Bork V810 is also suitable for dry cleaning, picking up various types of debris from the floor, including fur and hair. It eliminates blind spots along baseboards and in corners. That's a plus!

You can clean carpets with this vacuum cleaner, but it is better to do it in dry cleaning mode and if the carpets themselves have a short pile.

Personal opinion

The Bork V810 upright vacuum cleaner was thoroughly reviewed and tested. I'll highlight the pros and cons I discovered, and then share my personal opinion. I liked the following:

  1. It washes floors very well and is capable of removing even stubborn stains.
  2. The roller is positioned close to the edge of the body, leaving virtually no blind spot.
  3. High suction power.
  4. Steam surface cleaning function.
  5. Automatic detergent dispenser.
  6. Complete drying of the roller with hot air.
  7. High-quality self-cleaning.
  8. Long working time.
  9. Also suitable for dry cleaning.
  10. Very ergonomic design and convenient one-handed operation.
  11. Informative display on the body.
  12. Function of disinfection of clean water in the tank.
  13. Function for drying the surface behind the cleaning module.
  14. Power regulation.
  15. Large capacity water tanks.
  16. High quality assembly.
  17. Good equipment.
  18. Availability of warranty and service.

As for drawbacks, compared to similar products, I'd highlight the lack of a removable main unit for converting the wet/dry vacuum cleaner into a handheld dry vacuum, which became a trend back in 2023. Also, there's a narrow, but still visible, gap between the roller's edge and the baseboard. While minimal, it's still there.

To sum it up, I can say that the Bork V810, when it hit the market in 2023, was definitely the best in its class. It boasts a number of unique design and functional features unmatched by its closest premium competitors. Furthermore, it's truly efficient and high-quality. The materials, design, and ergonomics are all top-notch. However, price is still a deciding factor, and this model certainly has and will continue to have its audience, but it's certainly not a crowd-pleaser. It's safe to say that the Bork V810 is a truly exceptional product, albeit a luxury one.

On that note, I'd like to end this review. If you have any questions, please ask them in the comments. Happy shopping. Bye!
