EVOLUTION Smart Clean VCF2712M: 27,000 Pa, foldable elbow, dirt detection

Hello, everyone! I've received the EVOLUTION Smart Clean VCF2712M cordless stick vacuum cleaner for review. Priced at around $150, it boasts a 530-watt motor producing 27,000 Pa of suction power, an informative display, a folding arm for cleaning hard-to-reach areas, and a full set of attachments, including interchangeable rollers for different surfaces. Overall, it offers a good selection of features for the price. Below, I'll thoroughly test this vacuum, highlight its pros and cons based on my test results, and then share my personal opinion. Let's get started!

The package is good for this price segment. Let's move on!
Appearance
Let's take a look at the design of the EVOLUTION Smart Clean VCF2712M. Let's start with the main unit. It's black. The buttons are highlighted in red, making it easy to operate.
The battery is removable, which is a plus! It charges via a charging port, which requires manual connection of the charger.
The vacuum cleaner is turned on and off by pressing the button. There's no need to hold it down. All information is displayed on the display. It also features touch-sensitive buttons for switching operating modes. There are four modes: automatic and three power levels. In automatic mode, the vacuum cleaner automatically adjusts suction power depending on how dirty the floor is.
The dust container is completely removable, making it very convenient for maintenance. The bottom of the container opens with the press of a button. The flask houses a filtration system consisting of a cotton filter, a cyclone, and a mesh. Unfortunately, there's no HEPA filter. However, the entire filtration system is washable!
The main brush is equipped with a swivel joint that can be locked in a vertical position. This allows the brush to park vertically on the floor, which is a plus.
A front-mounted light illuminates the cleaning area. The vacuum cleaner comes with a carpet roller with short, elastic bristles. It can be removed by pressing a release button on the side. Combs are located behind the roller for detangling hair and fur. The included replacement roller is fluffy and soft, making it more suitable for cleaning hard floors.
The furniture and mattress attachment features a motorized brush with elastic bristles. To remove this turbo brush, you'll need a coin or a flat-head screwdriver. The other two attachments are standard and suitable for spot cleaning in the home.
The extension wand with a bendable elbow deserves special attention. This solution simplifies cleaning under low furniture.
A simple wall holder. It can hold a vacuum cleaner and two included attachments. It's unclear why they didn't include a way to attach a third attachment, perhaps on top.
All attachments are equipped with locking clips for a secure connection. The pros and cons of this design will be discussed in the final review. Let's move on!
Technical specifications
The main characteristics of the EVOLUTION Smart Clean VCF2712M, as stated by the manufacturer, are displayed on the screen:
- Power consumption: 530 W.
- Suction power: up to 27,000 Pa.
- Li-Ion battery 2500 mAh.
- Operating time up to 60 min.
- Dust collector: 800 ml.
- Noise level 72-80.5 dB.
- Weight when fully assembled: 2.9 kg.
It's worth noting the high suction power and power claimed for this price segment. I personally measured the vacuum cleaner's noise level, which ranged from 72 to 80.5 dB, which I believe is slightly elevated and may be due to the increased power.
The main unit weighs 1,730 grams, the extension tube 385 grams, and the main floor nozzle 803 grams. The fully assembled vacuum weighs 2,918 grams, which is standard for cordless upright vacuums.
Testing
A detailed video review of the EVOLUTION Smart Clean VCF2712M, including all tests, has already been prepared and published on the channel:
Opening hours
And finally, let's move on to the tests. First, let's check the battery life at maximum power with the main floor nozzle installed. It managed 11 minutes and 2 seconds of runtime, which is a standard result.
Suction power
Regarding suction power, at minimum power, the vacuum cleaner was able to remove almost all debris from crevices up to 6 mm deep and partially from crevices up to 10 mm deep. At medium power, it cleaned a 10 mm deep stand well, penetrated crevices up to 18 mm deep, and even partially cleaned a 20 mm deep crevice. At maximum power, it cleaned a 25 mm crevice well and partially removed a 30 mm crevice. So, the suction power is actually increased, both in the stated figures and judging by real-world tests.
Collecting debris on laminate flooring
Now let's test how well the vacuum cleaner picks up debris from the floor. I scattered various types of debris on the laminate flooring: hair, fur, grains, cat litter pellets, and other small household debris. The vacuum cleaner performed well with the fluffy roller for hard floors, only failing to completely pick up large debris like cat litter pellets. If you install the roller for carpets, it can handle this task.
Here is the condition of the fluffy roller after this test - it is clean.
Carpet cleaning
The vacuum cleaner also handles both low- and high-pile carpets thanks to its well-designed roller. However, I was a bit disappointed with the vacuum cleaner's strong suction even at medium power, making it difficult to move the nozzle across the carpet. This is obviously due to the high power, but there are models that don't produce excessive suction at high suction power.
Anti-tangle Hair Protection
I also tested how well the vacuum cleaner picked up hair from the floor and, most importantly, the condition of the rollers afterward. The fluffy roller barely picked up any hair, which is its main advantage.
The carpet roller got tangled with hair, but it's easy to clean thanks to the included tool.
Using additional attachments
It's also worth noting that the three additional attachments allow you to clean a sofa, reach areas the main attachment can't reach, and even clean the inside of a car. Overall, the vacuum cleaner is suitable for a variety of applications.
Cleaning the dust collector
Finally, I'll tell you how to clean the dust bin. Just press the button, and all the debris falls out through the bottom. If hair or fur gets stuck in the bin, you can remove the dust bin, take out the filtration system, and empty the contents. It's so easy!
Personal opinion
The EVOLUTION Smart Clean VCF2712M cordless stick vacuum cleaner was thoroughly reviewed and tested. I'll highlight the pros and cons I discovered, and then share my thoughts on it. I liked the following:
- In reality, the suction power is high for this segment, both in figures and according to test results.
- High-quality waste collection on various surfaces.
- Automatic suction power increase mode when dirt is detected.
- Removable battery.
- Informative display on the body.
- Illumination of the cleaning area.
- The dust collector is removable, allowing it to be washed in water.
- Extension tube with bendable elbow for convenient cleaning under low furniture.
- Vertical parking outside the holder.
- A good set that includes not only all the necessary attachments, but also two replaceable rollers for different surfaces.
- Ergonomic design. The vacuum cleaner is easy to operate with one hand.
- Availability of warranty and service.
The following shortcomings were found:
- No HEPA filter.
- Slightly increased noise level at maximum power.
- The fluffy roller is not capable of capturing large debris.
- Due to its high power, the main nozzle has a strong suction force on thin carpets, making it comfortable to vacuum them only on the first two power settings.
Ultimately, I can say that after testing the EVOLUTION Smart Clean VCF2712M, I left with a mostly positive opinion. Yes, it's not perfect, like all other upright vacuums in this price range. Some sacrifices have to be made to maintain balance and present your unique set of features to the market. In any case, it's a powerful, convenient, well-equipped, and effective upright vacuum that deserves consideration. I have no compelling reasons not to recommend it.
On that note, I'd like to end this review. If you have any questions, please ask them in the comments. Happy shopping, everyone. Bye!
