PRISM: What can an inexpensive 10,000 ruble upright vacuum cleaner do?!

Hello to all readers of the project! This review will examine the PRISM Vacuum Pro Series cordless upright vacuum cleaner for dry cleaning. Its price at the time of writing is between $100 and $120. For this price, the device is equipped with a 250-watt motor generating suction power of up to 21,000 Pa, as well as additional attachments for spot cleaning, a telescopic extension wand, a cleaning zone light, and several power modes. Overall, it offers a decent range of features for this price range. Below, I'll thoroughly test this upright vacuum, highlight its pros and cons, and share my thoughts on it. Let's get started!
Equipment
The vacuum cleaner arrived in a compact box like this:
The package includes:

- Battery.
- Telescopic extension tube.
- Basic floor nozzle.
- Nozzle for cleaning mattresses and upholstered furniture.
- Crevice nozzle.
- Vacuum cleaner cleaning tool.
- Spare HEPA filter.
- Power adapter.
- Operating instructions in Russian.
For the price, this vacuum cleaner comes with a good set of accessories. Let's move on!
Appearance
Now let's take a look at the design of the Prism upright vacuum cleaner. It's black with red accents. It houses a 250-watt motor, generating up to 21,000 Pa of suction.
Let's take a look at the design. The battery is removable, which is a plus. It needs to be charged by manually connecting the charger to the port on the side of the battery itself.
The vacuum cleaner is turned on and off by pressing the trigger button. There's no need to hold it down. A touchscreen control panel is located on top. The power level is changed by swiping, which requires using your other hand, which is not very convenient. There's a power level indicator, service indicators, and a battery percentage display.
The bottom of the dust container opens with a button that releases the latch. Inside, there's a HEPA-based filtration system, a simple cyclone, and a mesh filter. The dust container is removable, making it easy to maintain. Another HEPA filter is installed on the end of the main unit. I think the filtration system is well-designed for the price of this vacuum cleaner.
The main brush features a swivel joint, a light for the cleaning area, and a universal roller with short bristles. This type of roller has proven itself effective on both hard floors and carpets. The roller is removed by releasing the locking mechanism, without the need for a special tool. Behind the roller are combs for detangling tangled hair and fur.
The furniture and mattress cleaning attachment features a motorized brush, behind which lies an ultraviolet lamp for surface disinfection. The lamp is activated automatically when the attachment touches the surface, triggered by a special sensor.
The crevice tool is a standard design and has retractable bristles.
The telescopic extension tube deserves special attention, allowing you to adjust the length to your height. All attachments are equipped with mechanical locks.
I'll just note that the vacuum cleaner's design allows it to be placed upright, which is convenient if you need a break while cleaning. There's no need to lay it down or prop it up.
Technical specifications
The main characteristics declared by the manufacturer are displayed on the screen:
- Power consumption: 250 W.
- Suction power: up to 21,000 Pa.
- Li-Ion battery 2200 mAh.
- Operating time up to 45 min.
- Dust collector: 800 ml.
- Noise level 71-77 dB.
- Weight when fully assembled: 2.3 kg.
I personally measured the vacuum cleaner's noise level. It ranges from 71 to 77 dB, depending on the selected mode. This is quite normal for cordless vacuum cleaners.
The main unit weighs 1,665 grams, the extension tube weighs 296 grams, and the main floor nozzle weighs 719 grams. The fully assembled vacuum weighs 2,680 grams. This is a standard weight.
Testing
A detailed video review of the PRISM Vacuum Pro Series, including all tests, has already been prepared and published on the channel:
Opening hours
And finally, let's move on to the tests. First, let's check the battery life at maximum power with the main floor nozzle attached. It managed to run for 18 minutes and 10 seconds, which is a good result. The standard runtime for cordless vacuum cleaners is between 10 and 12 minutes.
Suction power
In terms of suction power, in Eco mode, the vacuum cleaner was able to completely remove debris from crevices up to 2 mm deep and partially from 6-10 mm deep. At medium power, it cleaned crevices up to 10 mm deep significantly better. At maximum power, the vacuum cleaner achieved a partial removal of 18 mm. I consider this model's suction power to be average and adequate for the $100-$150 price range.
Collecting debris on laminate flooring
Now let's test how well the vacuum cleaner picks up debris from the floor. I scattered various types of debris on the laminate flooring: hair, fur, grains, cat litter pellets, and other small household debris. The vacuum cleaner performed admirably, and there were no blind spots in the corners. Test successful!
Carpet cleaning
The vacuum cleaner performs as well as its competitors when it comes to cleaning carpets, capable of cleaning not only carpet but also medium-pile carpets. This is all thanks to the elastic bristle inserts in the turbo brush, which thoroughly clean the pile.
And here is the condition of the turbo brush after all the tests:
You can see that the bristle inserts do not wrap the hair around themselves; the brush is clean.
Using additional attachments
It's also worth noting that the two additional attachments allow you to clean a sofa, areas the main attachment can't reach, and even the inside of a car. Overall, this vacuum cleaner is suitable for a variety of applications.
Cleaning the dust collector
Finally, I'll tell you how to clean the dust container. Press the button, and all the debris falls out through the bottom. If hair or fur gets stuck in the container, you can remove the filter system and shake out the remaining contents. However, this will require you to touch the dirty filter system with your hands, which is not very convenient. Alternatively, you can remove the entire dust container and rinse it with water. It's up to you to decide what's most convenient.
Personal opinion
The PRISM Vacuum Pro Series cordless upright vacuum cleaner was thoroughly reviewed and tested. I'll highlight its pros and cons, then share my thoughts. Here's what I liked:
- Favorable price.
- Long operating time even at maximum power.
- Capable of picking up debris on a variety of surfaces, including medium-pile carpets.
- Good multi-stage filtration system.
- Removable dust collector.
- Removable battery.
- Vertical parking is supported.
- Telescopic extension tube.
- Illumination of the cleaning area.
- A good set of accessories, which includes all the necessary attachments for standard purposes and even a HEPA filter.
- Availability of warranty and service.
It's also worth mentioning the UV lamp in the furniture cleaning attachment, but I can't verify its effectiveness to consider it a plus. However, for some, this feature may be important.
From the comments I would like to highlight:
- To operate the vacuum cleaner, you need to use your second hand, which is less convenient.
- The cyclone and mesh are removed from the bottom, so contact with debris and the dirty cyclone cannot be avoided with clean hands. It's best to remove the entire filtration system from the top.
