Yoniev U7s: An efficient washing vacuum cleaner with automatic mode and water sterilization

The Yoniev U7s upright wet/dry vacuum cleaner, priced between $290 and $340, boasts a dual-sided roller, automatic power boost when detecting dirt, sterilization of clean water in the tank, and an informative LED display on the body. Below, I'll thoroughly test the Yoniev U7s, highlight its pros and cons based on the test results, and then share my personal opinion. Let's get started!
Equipment
The vacuum cleaner arrived in a branded box like this:
The package includes the main unit with a removable handle, a charging base with a power adapter, a branded cleaning solution, a cleaning brush for the vacuum cleaner, and an operating manual translated into Russian.
Appearance
Let's take a look at how the Yoniev U7s works. The operating principle is quite familiar: clean water is supplied to the roller as it rotates, after which the wastewater is collected by scrapers and sucked into the dirty water tank. The roller extends out to the edge of the housing on both sides.
An electrolyzer is installed inside the cleaning module to disinfect clean water before it is fed to the roller.
The top cover is removable. The roller is removed from the side; its structure is familiar—soft bristles. Behind the roller is a scraper for collecting liquid residue from the floor, a metal plate for scraping debris from the roller's surface during self-cleaning, and a suction port.
Above the cleaning module are the water tanks. The larger one holds dirty water and holds 500 ml.
Inside there is a HEPA filter with a mesh, a float sensor for monitoring the water level and a small coarse filter for cleaning the liquid.
The clean water tank has a capacity of 600 ml and also contains a coarse filter.
The vacuum cleaner is controlled by buttons on the handle. These buttons turn the power on/off, switch operating modes, and initiate the self-cleaning function. There are four operating modes: automatic, maximum, liquid suction without water, and ultra mode, which electrolyzes the water during cleaning.
All information is displayed on an informative LED display. Everything is intuitive, and the vacuum cleaner also features a Russian-language voice assistant.
As for the docking station, the Yoniev U7s charges and self-cleans on it. There's no automatic drying feature for the roller after self-cleaning.
The pros and cons of this design will be discussed during the final review. Let's move on!
Technical specifications
The main characteristics of the Yoniev U7s, as stated by the manufacturer, are displayed on the screen:
- Battery: Li-Ion, 2500 mAh
- Power consumption: 170 W
- Suction power: ≥10,000 Pa
- Working time: up to 30 min
- Clean water tank: 600 ml
- Dirty water tank: 500 ml
- Noise level: 72-75 dB
I personally tested the noise level and found it to be in the 72-75 dB range, which is in line with similar devices. The other specifications are also in line with most other mid-priced wet/dry vacuum cleaners.
Testing
A detailed video review with all tests has already been prepared and published on the channel:
And finally, let's move on to the tests. The Yoniev U7s performs well in everyday floor cleaning, both on laminate and tile. It doesn't leave streaks and, when used correctly, won't damage delicate flooring. I also noticed that it doesn't leave streaks like some other wet-and-dry vacuum cleaners. It wets the surface evenly.
This device can be used not only for cleaning floors but also for vacuuming liquids. And, as in my case, the vacuum even passed the now-traditional test of picking up a mixture of raw egg and flour.
The Yoniev U7s can also be used to clean slightly dried-on dirt from floors. As you can see, there are no marks or streaks left. The floor is perfectly clean.
Moreover, thanks to the rollers extending out from both sides of the body, the device is capable of cleaning dirt closer to baseboards and furniture. In reality, the blind zone is about 10 mm, while most similar devices have a blind zone of 15-20 mm. Still, the company's engineers still have room for improvement.
This wet/dry vacuum cleaner was able to remove tough, dried-on coffee and sauce stains. As with similar products, it took some time to remove the sauce stains. In my case, it took about 5 minutes to remove all the major stains. This is an excellent result. Many similar products take 8 to 10 minutes to complete this task. Note that I used the branded cleaning product included in the kit.
Furthermore, this wet/dry vacuum cleaner can also be used for dry cleaning. It easily picks up various types of debris from the floor. There's a small blind spot in the corner, but the main thing is that it picks up almost all the debris from the stand. That's a plus!
Considering this is a wet/dry vacuum, it's not practical for cleaning carpets. However, it's still possible if you don't add water to the tank or use the wet mode, which simply vacuums up debris without applying water. Despite its fluffy texture, the roller is capable of picking up pet hair and other debris from low-pile carpets.
The Yoniev U7s isn't suitable for use on fluffy carpets due to the structure of its roller. While it can still pick up debris on the surface, it doesn't dislodge it from the pile like traditional upright dry vacuums.
Another caveat: debris can clog the suction hole and block the brush, which is what happened during testing. Without water, the suction system doesn't work properly, and the vacuum cleaner is designed specifically for floor cleaning.
In general, I still recommend cleaning carpets with a regular upright vacuum cleaner, or entrusting this task to a robot with a suitable design and power.
After all the tests, the self-cleaning performance of the wet/dry vacuum cleaner was also checked, and here, again, the Yoniev U7s impressed. It cleaned sauce stains effectively. After the self-cleaning process, the roller was practically clean.
In a domestic environment, the self-cleaning feature will be sufficient for the vacuum cleaner to clean all its components from debris on its own.
Personal opinion
The Yoniev U7s upright vacuum cleaner was thoroughly reviewed and tested. I'll highlight the pros and cons I discovered, and then share my personal opinion. I liked the following:
- The vacuum cleaner is capable of removing difficult stains faster than its analogues.
- The roller extends closer to the edge of the body on both sides to clean the floor closer to baseboards and furniture.
- Electrolysis of water during floor washing.
- Automatic power increase mode.
- Informative display on the body.
- Built-in voice assistant.
- Branded cleaning agent included.
- Overall, ergonomic design and stylish execution.
- High quality assembly.
- Availability of warranty and service.
Among the disadvantages I would highlight:
- There is no roller drying at the station.
- There is still a blind zone between the edge of the roller and the baseboard, although it is smaller than with many similar products.
- Non-removable battery.
- Not suitable for cleaning carpets.
- There is no way to regulate the water supply level.
Overall, the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages, and some of the criticisms apply to most wet/dry vacuum cleaners in this price range. After reviewing the Yoniev U7s, I have a largely positive opinion. Therefore, I recommend this device, especially since it performs its primary function well.
On this note, I'd like to end this review. Happy shopping, everyone. Bye!
