Jimmy HW11 Pro Max: A Wet/Dry Vacuum Cleaner with Dry Attachments

Jimmy HW11 Pro MaxJimmy HW11 Pro Max

This review examines the new Jimmy HW11 Pro Max upright wet/dry vacuum cleaner. Its key feature, like the previously released HW10 Pro, is the ability to transform the vacuum cleaner into a handheld vacuum for spot cleaning. The main unit detaches and attaches various attachments. However, unlike its predecessor, the new model has received a number of improvements. The main upgrade is the two rollers in the cleaning module. These rollers are now positioned toward the edge of the unit for more effective cleaning near walls and furniture. The vacuum cleaner's tilt angle has also been increased, a warm air drying function for the rollers has been added to the station, and the device's performance has been improved. The price, however, is not significantly different at around $500, which is quite reasonable for a wet/dry upright vacuum cleaner. So, below, I'll be thoroughly testing the Jimmy HW11 Pro Max, highlighting the pros and cons based on my test results, and also discussing the differences from the 10th version. Afterward, I'll offer my opinion on whether this cordless vacuum cleaner is worth buying. I'd appreciate a subscription and a like after watching the video. So, let's get started!

Equipment

The vacuum cleaner arrived in a branded box like this:

Equipment

Overall, the package is standard for a convertible vacuum cleaner. I was pleased to see that it included cleaning solution. The only thing missing is a carpet roller, like the one on Jimmy HW10 ProThe instructions indicate that it can be purchased separately if necessary.

Appearance

Now let's take a look at the Jimmy HW11 Pro Max's design. Let's start with the cleaning module. As mentioned earlier, it consists of two rollers positioned toward the edge of the body.

Above these rollers, a nozzle is installed for manually spraying water in front of the cleaning module.

To do this, press the corresponding button on the handle. Additionally, the rollers are automatically moistened under the cap, along their entire length.

The top lid also serves as a water tank, holding approximately 600 ml. Water is added through a top opening with a valve. The manufacturer claims the tank is equipped with a built-in antibacterial coating with silver ions, which sterilize the water.

The rollers are of a traditional design. They are made of soft, fluffy bristles. A squeegee and suction hole are located behind the front roller. Interestingly, there is no suction hole behind the rear roller.

Rollers

The rollers rotate toward each other, thereby "driving" debris inward. Therefore, the rear roller, just like the front one, directs debris inward for further suction.

A dirty water tank with a capacity of approximately 400 ml is located above the cleaning module. Inside, there is a sponge-shaped filter, electronic liquid level sensors with a mesh filter, and a coarse filter that separates large debris from the liquid.

It's important to note that the Jimmy HW11 Pro Max has a removable battery. That's a plus.

The handheld vacuum cleaner has separate control buttons for start/pause and mode switching. There are two modes: normal (aka Floor) and maximum (Carpet). All information is displayed on the screen.

Also on the display is a button for setting up voice notifications. This upright vacuum cleaner speaks. And in Russian, too.

The dust container is emptied by pressing a button that opens the bottom. The container can be completely removed for washing or emptying. Inside, a filtration system is installed, consisting of a HEPA filter, foam, and a cyclone-type system with a mesh filter.

As a result, we get a multi-stage filtration system through two compartments, which is a plus.

The handheld vacuum cleaner comes with three attachments for different purposes. The mattress attachment features a turbo brush. This attachment can also be used for cleaning upholstered furniture.

There's also a crevice tool for picking up debris in hard-to-reach areas. And a soft-bristled tool is also recommended for cleaning furniture and other interior items.

Additional attachments

To control the vacuum cleaner itself, we attach the main unit. The control buttons are located on the handle. They include power on/off, mode selection, forced water supply from the nozzle, and the self-cleaning function. An automatic mode has been added to the floor and carpet mode. In this mode, the Jimmy HW11 Pro Max automatically adjusts suction power when it detects debris or liquids. This is a plus.

It's important to note that the vacuum cleaner can be tilted up to 180 degrees. This allows you to clean under furniture, provided there's enough clearance. For example, the handle of the dirty water tank is about 15 cm from the floor. Note that the vacuum cleaner doesn't turn off when tilted horizontally and continues to operate. The containers are sealed, so water doesn't leak when tilted.

As for the station, it charges the Jimmy HW11 Pro Max, self-cleans the rollers and suction system, and dries all components with warm air. They added heated air, which is a plus. Looking ahead, I want to say that the roller drying has been tested and is indeed effective.

All the pros and cons of the design will be discussed during the final review. Let's move on!

Technical specifications

The main characteristics of the Jimmy HW11 Pro Max, as stated by the manufacturer:

  • Battery: Li-Ion, 4600 mAh.
  • Power: 500 W.
  • Suction power 125 AW.
  • Working time: 20-80 min.
  • Clean water tank: 600 ml.
  • Dirty water tank: 400 ml.
  • Dust collector: 300 ml
  • The weight of the handheld vacuum cleaner is 1.37 kg.
  • Weight of the washing vacuum cleaner: 4.6 kg.
  • Noise level: 74-78.5 dB / 72.5-81.5 dB.

The new model features increased battery capacity, suction power, dust bin capacity, and water tank capacity compared to the previously released Jimmy HW10 Pro. The weight of the wet/dry vacuum cleaner was measured personally and, overall, is comparable to most similar models. However, the handheld vacuum cleaner is lighter than the main units of other vacuum cleaners.

The noise level was also tested. The wet/dry vacuum cleaner's noise level ranged from 74 to 78.5 dB, depending on the selected mode, while the handheld vacuum cleaner's noise level ranged from 72.5 to 81.5 dB.

Here I will note that the Jimmy HW11 Pro Max is a little louder than its analogues in terms of noise.

Testing

A detailed video review with all tests has already been prepared and published on the channel:

Dry cleaning

The Jimmy HW11 Pro Max does a good job of picking up debris of various textures on hard surfaces. It leaves a minimal blind spot in corners, just a few millimeters, beyond the reach of the roller itself.

Jimmy HW11 Pro Max: Dry CleaningJimmy HW11 Pro Max: Dry Cleaning

Dry cleaning

I also tried cleaning carpets with it. It was able to clean low-pile carpets, but it wasn't very effective on medium-pile carpets because the roller structure wasn't right. While the surface of the pile was cleaned, some debris was still stuck inside.

Please note that the manufacturer recommends using a different type of roller for these purposes, which can be purchased on the official Jimmy website.

I disassembled the cleaning module and saw that some hair and lint had gotten stuck behind the roller, while some had ended up in the dirty water tank. So, I recommend either using a different type of roller for vacuuming debris without a water supply, or at least not using this vacuum cleaner for large debris that could get stuck.

Handheld vacuum cleaner

If you need to use the Jimmy HW11 Pro Max for dust collection, I recommend using the included attachments attached to the handheld vacuum cleaner. I think you'll find them useful in your home.

Washing the floor

And when it comes to floor cleaning, the machine performs much better. It handles everyday floor cleaning well, on both wood and tile surfaces. It doesn't leave streaks and, when used correctly, won't damage delicate flooring.

Everyday floor cleaning

The Jimmy HW11 Pro Max can also be used for not only cleaning floors but also for vacuuming liquids. And, as in my case, the vacuum even passed the now-traditional test of picking up a mixture of raw egg and flour.

If necessary, this vacuum cleaner can be used to clean slightly dried-on dirt from the floor. We can see that there are no marks or streaks left. The floor is perfectly clean.

Washing the floor from dirt

The Jimmy HW11 Pro Max was able to remove even the toughest dried-on coffee and sauce stains. As with similar machines, it took some time to remove the sauce stains—in my case, about 5.5 minutes. By comparison, the Jimmy HW10 Pro completed the task in 7 minutes, while most similar machines take up to 10 minutes. So, the result is good!

Washing floors from difficult stains

A proprietary cleaning solution was also used. Incidentally, it's very convenient that you can first spray stubborn stains with water, then let them soak for a bit while rinsing other areas. After that, they come out much faster.

Regarding the blind spot between the roller's edge and the baseboard, it's physically 5 mm, but the vacuum cleaner was able to remove the dirt without missing a millimeter. That's a plus!

Blind spot

We drain the dirty water, fill the second tank with clean water, and test the self-cleaning function. Here, by the way, I'd like to point out that the self-cleaning water is supplied through the front nozzle, flows into the station's tray, and from there rinses the rollers before being sucked into the dirty water tank. This is a unique approach from the brand.

Jimmy HW11 Pro Max: Self-cleaningJimmy HW11 Pro Max: Self-cleaning

Self-cleaning

After extensive sauce scrubbing tests, I can say the rollers are almost completely clean. After household tests, a little hair remained under the lid, but the rollers are clean. There was minimal dirt underneath, but that's also on par with most similar rollers. So, I think this model's self-cleaning feature is well-implemented.

As I said earlier, drying with warm air is also effective!

Personal opinion

The JIMMY HW11 Pro Max upright vacuum cleaner was thoroughly reviewed and tested. I'll share the pros and cons I discovered. I liked the following:

  1. An effective cleaning module with two rollers that ensures high-quality floor cleaning and removal of even the most difficult stains.
  2. The rollers are shifted to the edge of the body, leaving virtually no blind spot near baseboards and furniture.
  3. Suitable for dry cleaning, floor washing, and for collecting liquids from the floor.
  4. It can be used as a compact handheld vacuum cleaner thanks to the detachable main unit and the additional attachments included.
  5. Long working time.
  6. Removable battery.
  7. Multi-stage filtration system.
  8. Automatic power increase.
  9. An interesting solution with water spraying in front of the cleaning module.
  10. Effective self-cleaning of rollers.
  11. Complete drying of rollers with warm air.
  12. The tilt angle is smaller than that of washing vacuum cleaners. The vacuum cleaner can be completely tilted to a horizontal position.
  13. Voice notifications in Russian.
  14. High quality assembly.
  15. Availability of warranty and service.

Speaking about the disadvantages, during the review and testing the following remarks about the vacuum cleaner were found:

  1. Increased noise level at maximum power.
  2. Small capacity of dirty water tank.
  3. To clean carpets, you need to purchase a special roller.
  4. The base doesn't have holders for the included attachments. More accurately, they can be stored, but it's not entirely convenient, as they likely serve as holders for rollers and detergent. There are no locking devices to hold the attachments in place.

Overall, I can say that the comments aren't critical, and as a cordless wet/dry vacuum cleaner—which is, after all, the Jimmy HW11 Pro Max's primary purpose—it performed well. It's actually more efficient and practical than the previous model. So, if you're looking for a wet/dry vacuum cleaner that also comes with dry attachments, I recommend considering this option. It deserves to be considered one of the best in its segment in 2024.

On that note, I'd like to end this review. If you have any questions, please ask them in the comments. Happy shopping, everyone. Bye!
