Neatsvor W5: An affordable robot window cleaner with dual water spray

The Neatsvor W5 is a new window cleaning robot, starting at $90. Its key feature is a dual-spray system, which allows it to effectively remove dirt no matter which direction it's facing. Furthermore, the device boasts a slim profile of just 78 mm, making it suitable even for windows with bars. Below, I'll thoroughly test the Neatsvor W5, highlight its pros and cons, and then offer my opinion on whether this robotic window cleaner is worth buying. Let's get started!
Equipment
The robot arrived in this branded box:
The package includes:
- Power unit.
- Adapter for connecting the power supply to the network.
- Safety rope.
- Remote control with batteries.
- 6 sets of napkins.
- A spray bottle for water or cleaning agent.
- Quick Start Guide.
- Instructions in Russian.
- Branded keychain as a gift.
The kit is standard, but I personally miss having spare wipe holders in case the main ones get damaged. It's also easier to change dirty wipes to clean ones while the robot is in use, having a fresh set of wipes on spare holders ready in advance.
Appearance
Let's take a look at how the Neatsvor W5 works. It comes in white.
As already mentioned, the case height is only 78 mm.
The robot has a power cable attached. Nearby, you'll find a threaded connector for attaching a safety tether. A mechanical power button is located on the body. Next to it is a robot status indicator light and a hole with a sealed lid for filling the water tank. The tank capacity is 60 ml.
At the bottom, between the napkin holders, there are nozzles for spraying liquid onto the surface.
Napkin holders of the usual design.
I didn't like that the robot's status indicators are not duplicated on the back, which allows you to visually assess the status when the robot is installed outside on a window.
Technical specifications
The main characteristics of the Neatsvor W5, as declared by the manufacturer, are displayed on the screen:
- Backup battery: Li-Ion, 650 mAh.
- Power consumption: 72 W.
- Battery life: up to 25 min.
- Water tank: 60 ml.
- Dimensions: 269*137*78 mm.
- Noise level: up to 73 dB.
I measured the noise level myself. If the robot is indoors, the noise level is around 72-73 dB. However, if it's installed outside and the window is closed, the noise level will depend on the soundproofing of the windows. In my case, it was 48-49 dB.
Functions
The window cleaning robot is controlled using the included remote control. It features buttons for manual operation, start/pause, water flow level adjustment, and water on/off. It also features a spot cleaning mode and a double-pass cleaning mode. This latter mode is not available on all window cleaning robots, making it an advantage of this model.
Testing
A detailed video review with all tests has already been prepared and published on the channel:
Navigation and window cleaning quality
Finally, let's move on to the tests. First, we'll check how the Neatsvor W5 performs at its primary task – cleaning windows from the outside. We'll also be able to evaluate its navigation. The robot picks up all the dirt on its first pass. I'd recommend not wetting the wipes and turning off the water supply to reduce the amount of dirt smeared across the glass. It's on by default when you start it, but I didn't notice it right away, so I decided to leave it on. For the second pass, you can spray a little water or cleaning solution onto the wipes and leave the water supply on.
Let's compare the condition of the windows before and after:
Here I will just note that the weak point of all window cleaning robots without exception, including this one, is that corners remain unwashed due to the design features of the cleaning module.
Overall, the window cleaning performance is on par with similar products. It also navigates medium and large windows without any issues! No complaints about the navigation!
Application on other surfaces
This robot can also be used to clean tiled walls, shower stalls, and mirrors. It's even worth noting that the Neatsvor W5 can gently roll away from the edges of frameless surfaces without losing its grip. That's a plus!
However, for those interested, this window cleaning robot can't operate on horizontal surfaces. When approaching an edge, it loses traction, causing the robot to malfunction.
Emergency mode
Let me explain how the Neatsvor W5 operates in emergency mode. When disconnected from the power grid, the robot starts emitting voice alerts, and the indicator light on the front changes from blue to red.
But, as already mentioned, there are no indicators on the back. Here, you can only rely on the sound signal.
Let's sum it up
The Neatsvor W5 window cleaning robot was thoroughly reviewed and tested. I'll summarize and share my personal opinion of the robot after using it. Here's what I liked:
- Automatic, two-way water supply. Unlike many other robotic window cleaners, the water isn't blown away by the wind.
- The double-pass function is not available in all robots.
- Good quality window cleaning.
- Small body, which allows using the device on windows with bars.
- Possibility of washing frameless windows.
- Work on small windows.
- The robot's versatility. It's suitable for cleaning not only windows, but also glass doors, mirrors, and wall tiles.
- Affordable price.
As for the shortcomings, the following were found:
- It doesn't wash into the corners.
- Does not work on horizontal surfaces.
- There are no spare napkin holders included.
- There are no indicator lights on the bottom of the robot.
Overall, the first two comments are typical for all robotic window cleaners. The last two are specific to this model. Since these comments don't affect the quality of window cleaning, I see no reason not to recommend this unit. Priced at around $100, it's one of the best window cleaning robots available, thanks to its dual-sided water supply and dual-pass cleaning.
On that note, I'd like to end this review. If you have any questions, please ask them in the comments. Happy shopping. Bye!
