360 S7: Carpets will stay dry during wet cleaning

In June 2019, Chinese manufacturer 360 introduced a new product – the 360 S7 robot vacuum cleaner. The robot is equipped with a lidar sensor, boasts high suction power, and can clean autonomously for two hours. The previous two models s5 And s6 They have become quite popular due to their specifications, functionality, and affordable price. The main difference between the new robot vacuum cleaner and its predecessors is the ability to select no-go zones that can be set during wet cleaning. Now, carpets will remain dry during cleaning, which is especially important if you have carpeting in addition to laminate or tile, which you don't want the robot to access with its water tank installed. In this review, we'll explore what else the manufacturer has prepared for the new 360 S7 model.
Equipment
The basic delivery package includes:
- The robot itself.
- Charging station.
- Charging cable.
- Network adapters for different sockets.
- Water container.
- Microfiber cloth.
- Operating instructions in several languages.
Unfortunately, additional consumables are not included in the kit, but they can be ordered separately. A remote control and motion limiter are also missing.
Appearance
The design of the 360 S7 robot vacuum cleaner is similar to Xiaomi robot vacuum cleanersAt first glance, they can be distinguished only by the arrangement of the buttons on the body. The device's appearance is also similar to previous models: a round white plastic body (a black model is also available). Additionally, it features a pleasing orange border around individual elements. The model looks neat and modern, without any unnecessary elements.
The robot's dimensions are 350 x 350 x 100 mm. This is large enough to reach hard-to-reach areas and clean floors.
What do we see when viewing the robot vacuum cleaner's front panel? The first thing that catches the eye is the protruding round turret, which houses the LDS and SLAM sensors for scanning the room and creating a 2D map. It's located in the center of the top panel, just like on the s5 robot vacuum. The company logo is located at the top of the turret. Just below it are two control buttons: the first is used to start and stop the robot, and the second is used to return it to the charging base. These are all elements of the first part of the top panel. The second part of the panel is completely occupied by the dust compartment cover.
The 360 S7 robot vacuum cleaner has a bumper with obstacle sensors at the front, magnetic contacts for automatic recharging on the docking station, and exhaust vents at the back.
Turn the robot over and you'll see two drive wheels on the sides, a swivel roller on top, one side brush with long tassels, a long center brush, a battery compartment, and cliff sensors. A water tank with a microfiber cloth for wet cleaning is also attached to the bottom.

Functional capabilities
The robot vacuum cleaner cleans with a side brush that sweeps debris from hard-to-reach places, including areas along baseboards and corners, and rakes it toward the central turbo brush and suction channel.
The 360 S7's central brush helps tackle tougher dirt, removing pet hair and fur, and cleaning carpets. It's fair to say that the robot performs quite well on carpets thanks to its high suction power of up to 2000 Pa. All collected debris is directed into the 570-milliliter dust bin, equipped with a HEPA filter to remove even the smallest dust particles and allergens.
The advantage of the design is the location of the engine, which is close to the dust collector, thereby significantly increasing the cleaning efficiency of smooth floors.
The 360 S7 is also designed for wiping floors with a damp cloth. The cloth is automatically mopped, eliminating the need for manual mopping. Simply add water to the special attachment and attach the damp cloth.
The robot has the following operating modes (suction levels):
- quiet;
- average;
- maximum.
For carpets, the suction power is always set to maximum.
Let's move on to a review of the 360 S7 navigation system. The robot vacuum cleaner supports LDS and SLAM technologies. This allows it to scan rooms, create a precise map, and plan an optimal cleaning schedule. Sensors on the side panel protect the robot from collisions and impacts with surrounding objects. When approaching furniture, it slows slightly to prevent damage to itself and the furniture. Cliff sensors on the bottom notify the device when approaching steps.
The robot vacuum cleaner is controlled using buttons on the body and a smartphone app. Here, you can view the robot's map of the room, set no-clean zones (including separate zones for wet cleaning), create a cleaning schedule, and adjust other 360 S7 settings. Importantly, the robot vacuum cleaner supports Amazon Alexa and Tmall Wizard voice control.
In general, the model is not inferior in functionality to the same one Roborock S6The only thing is that you can only delimit zones using rectangles; you can't draw individual lines in the app.
An important feature is the ability to remember up to 10 cleaning plans, so if you live in a two-story house (or more), this robot vacuum cleaner is a good choice, as it will store the plan for each floor in its memory for more effective cleaning.
Advantages and disadvantages
To summarize, let's highlight the pros and cons of this robot vacuum cleaner. Pros:
- Attractive appearance.
- High build quality.
- Powerful battery, long operating time.
- Several suction levels.
- Good obstacle clearance.
- Support for LDS and SLAM technologies, high-quality navigation.
- Control from a smartphone.
- Wet cleaning function.
- Protecting carpets from getting wet.
- Remember up to 10 cleaning plans.
- Control via voice assistants.
Cons:
- There are no spare consumables included, you need to buy them separately.
- One side brush.
- There is no warranty or service in the Russian Federation.
In conclusion, we note that the 360 S7 robot vacuum cleaner costs approximately $400. Overall, it's a very attractive model and deserves consideration. The only significant drawback is that there are no official representatives in Russia to handle warranty issues. However, given the overwhelmingly positive reviews, you don't have to worry too much about the robot breaking down quickly and wasting a significant amount of money.

Good afternoon. We recently bought a Tefal 60 robot vacuum cleaner. It's incredibly slow. It cleans well, but it can't detect obstacles because it doesn't create a map. We're looking to replace it. We have a two-story house, and from what I've read, lidar is essential. We mostly have laminate flooring and low-pile carpet. (The kids and cat are also involved.) Wet cleaning is best done immediately after vacuuming. I'm deciding between the 360 s7 or the Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop Pro. Please help me choose.
Hello! I haven't tested the 360 S7 yet, so I can't say how good it is. But I really liked the 360 C50 for a budget option. The Mi Robot Vacuum Mop P is a good option; many people were happy with it after my recommendation. I'm also starting to test the Viomi SE, a good robot. The review will be up on my channel soon, so you can check it out.
