In the fall of 2017, Xiaomi unveiled a new robot vacuum cleaner, the Mi Roborock Sweep One. Although the device was launched through Xiaomi's crowdfunding platform, it was manufactured by Roborock, the same company that produced the previous model. Equipment
The Xiaomi robot vacuum cleaner comes in a simple cardboard box with a convenient plastic handle. It's minimalist: it features only the device itself and the Roborock company name. On the back, there's a sticker with basic information about the robot vacuum cleaner.
The Xiaomi robot delivery kit includes the following components:

Appearance
The Xiaomi Mi Roborock Sweep One is made of high-quality, snow-white ABS plastic, giving it a sophisticated and elegant look. Its round body is compact.
Looking at the front of the device, we see that it is divided into two parts. The top part contains three buttons: the first button activates localized cleaning, the second switches/starts the robot, and the third directs the robot vacuum cleaner to the charging base. In the center of the body is a turret with a laser rangefinder, which is the basis of the Xiaomi robotic cleaner's navigation system. The bottom part opens to reveal a dust collector and a hidden cleaning brush for the robot vacuum cleaner's components.

Functional capabilities
The Xiaomi Mi Roborock Sweep One has two main automated cleaning modes: straight line cleaning and wall cleaning. In spot cleaning mode, the device will clean a small, dirty area using spiral movements.
The robot vacuum cleaner can be started either using the button on the device or remotely using the Mi Home app on your smartphone. The app is available for all mobile devices running Android 4.4 and above and iOS 8.0 and above. The device syncs with your smartphone via Wi-Fi. This tank has two special holes that ensure the cloth is evenly moistened during cleaning. After cleaning, the robot vacuum cleaner leaves no wet streaks, only small, damp marks that dry quickly.
Installing the washing unit
A key advantage of this robotic vacuum cleaner is its high-precision LDS laser, located on the protruding "turret," which scans the room 5 times per second and rotates 360 degrees. The integrated SLAM algorithm creates a real-time map of the room. Additionally, the Xiaomi Mi Roborock Sweep One features a soft bumper and 13 optical sensors, including collision, elevation, dust, and pressure sensors. All this allows the robot to navigate perfectly, avoiding obstacles and falling from elevated surfaces, and automatically detecting the surface type and increasing suction power when needed.
Overcoming obstacles

The presence of a single side brush is a plus, as it prevents debris from scattering, and its intended purpose is to sweep debris from under baseboards and corners, which is ensured by the device's algorithm, with the right side of the robot cleaning along edges. However, the presence of two side brushes raises serious questions, either about the competence of the engineers who designed such a device, or about a ploy to disguise insufficient suction power with these brushes and claim they sweep things directly inside.

Not often. It's been over a year, and I haven't changed anything yet, as there's no need. The meter still shows half the life left. Consumables are cheap, especially from China. A turbo brush and HEPA filter, or side brushes, are easy to find.
